Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is called 'Warm Up!'....this may be stretching it a bit, but how about warm colors and paper that looks like a flannel shirt? I LOVE flannel....I have several 'girly' flannel shirts that I wear in the winter, even at work! For my card I chose a pattern from the ODBD Old Glory Paper Collection, the ODBD Custom Congratulations Die, ODBD Custom Steampunk Gears Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, and the curves were cut with the ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Borders Dies. The word die is usually straight but it was flexible enough to curve....I glued down a few letters at a time in order to get the right spacing.

Spring Wishing Well
Hello, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is to share what your little piece of the world is all about. I live in farm country....it's 'mostly' quiet except for when the four-wheelers come out to play or the cows next door get a little 'randy'! lol!!! My card today is very green, which is what my neighborhood will look like come spring! For my card today, I used the 'Wishing Well' set by Our Daily Bread designs, along with the Gingham Background stamp, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, and ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops (for sponging clouds).

Plum Prayers
Hi, everyone! I woke earlier than normal this morning, so had a chance to play along before work with the Ways To Use It Challenge which was to create a get well card for someone. I have also included the Clean and Simple Challenge which is to use white and one color only....I chose Pale Plum. The background was created by inking the ODBD 'Faithful Fish Pattern Die and Debossing Plate', then cutting out the white cardstock with it. Then I cut out a circle, stamped the sentiment from 'Flourished Verses' on the card base, and popped up the debossed panel with foam tape. When the card was complete, a few sprays of Pearl Glimmer Mist were added, however, as usual, it's camera shy!!

Amber Waves of Grain
Hi, everyone!! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use marble, granite, stone, etc. on your project. I chose this paper (SU Naturals White) since it's speckled like concrete, plus I thought that 'amber waves of grain' would fit in with today's memorial of 9-11. Using two pieces of scratch paper for masking, the orange and mustard sky was sponged (the 'clouds' were sponged over a torn piece of paper), then the wheat image from 'Our Daily Bread' (retired) was stamped. The sentiment is from 'Serve the Lord'; both sets are from Our Daily Bread designs. Instead of using ribbon, I chose to paper pierce two rows in order for it to be flat.

Flip Flop Magnets
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways to Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is to use some sort of glaze on your project. As soon as I saw the new flip flops from Our Daily Bread designs, I knew I wanted to make some magnets for my mom, the Flip Flop Queen, and for my own refrigerator as well.
The largest images from Flip Flop Fun were stamped twice onto light brown cardstock; one image was cut out with the ODBD Custom Flip Flop Die Set, the 2nd just the straps were cut out and popped up with foam tape. The dies were traced onto a magnet sheet and cut out by hand so that they would be a smidge smaller than the paper; the adhesive was peeled off and the magnets were adhered to the back of the flip flops. After coloring and shading, Glossy Accents were used to coat everything and turquoise gems were added for decoration.
The next photo shows the flip flop magnets amidst part of our vacation collection.
I will definitely try again and make some more colorful ones....these were kind of a trial and error, but turned out good enough to share.
Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Lavender and Sailing Ship
Hi, everyone! Have two cards to share today, both are quick and simple...yay! For my first card, I cut a piece of scratch paper to the same size as my card, cut out an oval with a die, then used it as a stencil to sponge the light purple background. The image is from the 'Lavender' set and the sentiment is from 'Smell the Roses', both by Our Daily Bread designs. The only embellishments are matching ribbon to the ink and three pearls. This will be submitted to four Dare to Get Dirty Challenges.
My second card was based on the Ways To Use It Challenge, which is anything to do with ships or sailing. I stamped the image from 'Surging Sea' and sentiment from 'Smooth Sailing' (both from Our Daily Bread designs) onto Kraft cardstock, colored the water and ship with markers, then used a white chalk marker to add waves and color the sails. The marker is from Stampin Up...it dries instantly, so there is no smearing factor at all...yay! The card was stamped with the 'Fishing Net Background'. I added some burlap ribbon but nothing else, so that it could be mailed easily.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Soar Like An Eagle
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is "Tantalizing Texture"....use at least three types of texture on your project....I used dry embossing, distressed edges, and hand stitching with linen thread. I needed a masculine birthday card, so I chose the mountain image from Keep Climbing; the small letters (cut out with a small square punch and popped up with foam tape) and the banners at the bottom are both from the new Pennant Swag Alphabet Set (all stamps by Our Daily Bread designs).

Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice!
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It and Friday Free 4 All Challenges at Splitcoast were both about using squares, so I took this opportunity to make a birthday card for my sweet little niece, Madilyn, who will be four in a few weeks. The lady bugs were stamped with the Stamped-By 'Ladybug Mini' by Our Daily Bread designs, then cut out and glued onto panels which were stamped with the ODBD 'Stitch Background'. The sentiment is from the ODBD 'Little Girls' set and I felt that I just had to use the ODBD 'Gingham Background' to tie it all together!

Tri-Shutter Scripture Card
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge is all about using designer paper in creative ways. I created this Tri-Shutter 2-1/2 years ago for a tutorial for Our Daily Bread designs, but never posted the photos here or in my gallery, so I will be submitting to the WT Challenge today. You can see the Tri-Shutter tutorial HERE on the ODBD Blog.
Since there is a lot to see with a Tri-Shutter, I have included quite a few photos. The stamps used are from the Our Daily Bread designs Scripture Collection 6, Scripture Collection 7, and the butterflies are from the "Faith" set. The designer paper is from Prima "Reflections", the crocheted lace is May Arts, and the pearls are Basic Grey. The folds were scored easily and quickly using my Scor-buddy.

Pool Time Buford
Hi, everyone! I took a vacation day today....just because.....so I spent the morning stamping....ahhhhh!! I had a blast making this birthday card for my nephew. This super cute stamp is "Pool Time Buford" from North Coast Creations......their line of Crazy Critter stamps are so fun!! The sentiment is from another NCC set, "Heaven's Masterpiece". I have used the Sketch Challenge and Ways To Use It "Sun Rays" Challenge from Splitcoast Stampers.
The designer paper is Basic Grey "Lauderdale" and the scene was sponged using masking and scratch paper.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Serenity
Hi, everyone! I used the Shining The Light S-P-R-I-N-G Word challenge over at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog (S=shaped card, P=Paper Piercing, R=rounded edges, I=Ink, N=Nautical, G = 'Guy Card' to create a birthday card for my hubby's uncle. The general layout is from the Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast and I have also used the Ways To Use It Challenge which is to "Discover It".....I believe this is the first time I have used this color combo....baby blue and Antique Linen....I wasn't sure about it when I started, but I'm pretty pleased at how it turned out!The card base and main panel were cut out using Spellbinders Labels Eight and the side panels were cut with Labels One. The stamps I have used are "The Waves On The Sea" and "Fishing Net Background" by Our Daily Bread designs.....I am in LOVE with these new sets!!
On the back of the card, I stamped the "Swirly Bird Mini" stamp and signed my name. Our Daily Bread designs now has a large collection of "Stamped By" stamps using some images from past sets, plus several new images too!!

Digi T-Rex Birthday Wishes!
Hi everyone! Whew, two posts in one day! I couldn't resist the Ways To Use It Challenge today at Splitcoast...."Digi Day"! There are so many little boys in my family now, but I was on short supply of kiddie stamp sets, so I bought some digi stamps Doodle Dragon Studios (designed by Dustin Pike).....they are too cute!!!

I didn't realize how dull my printer ink looked until I was editing the photos....I'll have to check my settings before printing next time....argh!!! I would have retraced the lines by hand, but I was afraid I would screw it up, so....it is what it is.....my nephew will love it just the same!!! Also, I used the marker to "dot" the entire image....thought it would give a nice scaly appearance. It looks really good IRL, but once again, not so good in the photo. I do not claim to be a digi pro or a coloring pro, that is for sure!!! :)
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Dino Birthday by Doodle Dragon Studios, balloon drawn by hand, sentiment from Our Daily Bread designs 'Mini Tags 3';
Cardstock: SU Summer Sun and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: Basic Grey 'Life of the Party';
Ink: Printer ink and SU markers;
Accessories: SU Linen Thread, Craft Knife (cut the image to tuck the thread through), Dew Drops, May Arts Twill Ribbon, Paper Piercer and Template, Foam Tape, Signo White Gel Pen to color teeth and claws;
Size: A2.

Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!!!
