Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is Pat aka pvilbaum.....congrats, Pat!!! I chose this beautiful and creative card to re-create.....the partial embossing and negative die cut really 'flipped my switch'! ;) For my card, I embossed the top and bottom of the pink cardstock with a floral embossing folder, used my Scor-buddy to score a separation line, created the cut-outs using the ODBD Custom Hello Die and ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies, matted the panel onto a floral/heart pattern from the ODBD Heart and Soul Paper Collection, added paper piercing and pearls, then popped up the finished panel with foam tape over the Regal Rose card base.

Blessings In Blue!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Anthropologie website.....I am a sucker for any blue and white dishes, so I chose this gorgeous side plate for inspiration in the making of my card. I have used the Be Joyful set from Our Daily Bread designs since I thought that the flowers were similar to the inspiration piece. The edges of the plate had scored lines, so I used a striped embossing folder on white cardstock, then finished the panel by using the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies to cut it out. I also used the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies set...I love how the stitched pattern gives a finished look without having to add paper piercing to everything....yay!

Lose Yourself In Nature
Hi, everyone! This is a birthday card for my sister-in-law....good thing she doesn't read my blog! :) I have used two challenges from Splitcoast: this week's Sketch Challenge 572 and today's Ways To Use It Challenge which is to use a silhouette or shadow on your project. For my card I used the Find Beauty set by North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs). The banana colored panel was embossed only using the ODBD Custom Boho Background Dies set, then cut out with the outline of the same die set. The image/sentiment panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, colored with sponges, then matted with the ODBD Custom Doily Dies' largest doily. I'm a bit disappointed in my photo....the banana and blackberry colors look so yummy in the real!

Welcoming Good
Hello, everyone! This week's Technique Lover's Challenge is to add a bow to your project....no problem! I love my Bow Easy....when I look back to the early years of my gallery, my bows were horrible! For my card today, I have used the Maya Angelou quote from the 'Safe Travels' set, new from Our Daily Bread designs. I have also used the following ODBD products: ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies (for embossing), ODBD Custom Pretty Posies Dies, ODBD Custom Lovely Leaves Dies, and the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies. It's been a bit gloomy this week, so I chose some bright and cheerful colors.

Palomino Beauties
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Cheri aka cburry....congrats, Cheri!! I chose this fun card to recreate...loved the simple layout and I'm a sucker for a cloud background! For my card, the horse image from Saddle Up (by Our Daily Bread designs) was stamped onto a white panel and again on a small piece of white cardstock in order to fussy cut the image and pop it up for dimension. The flowers were colored, then clear-coated using a Glaze Pen. Once the glaze was dry, using masking, the grassy area was sponged in green (the glaze resisted the green ink); the clouds were sponged in aqua over a template created with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies set. The same glaze resist technique was used on the horses' manes, tails, and other white portions; once the clear glaze was dry, caramel ink was sponged to create the Palomino look.

Let Faith Be The Bridge
Hello, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Polly's button board on Pinterest. When I saw this cute house with the red roof, it reminded me of the 'Safe Travels' set from Our Daily Bread designs. I am fortunate that I live in an area abundant with covered bridges.....we love to drive through the countryside each fall to see the pretty leaves and the awesome bridges! Plus, the fall festivals everywhere are a blast.....can you say "apple dumpling with ice cream?! YUM!! For my card, I used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: Safe Travels (image and quote), Wood Background, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, and the Faith Hope and Love Dies set. From the leftover background, I created three 'faux brads' with a small hole punch.

Deer Silhouette Birthday
Hi, everyone!! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jenney aka Sixclarks....congrats, Jenney!! I chose this awesome card to recreate using the Deer Silhouette Greetings set by North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs). The image panel and mat were cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies. The images were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then brown and aqua were sponged over it. Matching baker's twine and paper piercing were the only embellishments.

Kisses By Angels
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create a tag or create a card with a tag using Audrie's tag board on Pinterest for inspiration...I chose this beautiful tag for inspiration in creating this birthday card for a dear friend. I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs in the making of this card: Sentiments Collection, ODBD Custom Recipe Card and Tags Dies, ODBD Custom Angel Wings Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies (little hearts), and the ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection. The ivory parts are actually a metallic cream cardstock, so it has some beautiful shimmer in the real. Thanks to the stitching on the rectangle dies, I don't have to do as much paper piercing as I normally do, which saves some tension in my shoulders....yay!!

Old Mill Birthday Wishes
Hi, everyone! I'm back again, this time with a super simple birthday card. The Friday Free4All Challenge this week is to 'Pick A Movie'. I chose 'Old Mill' from 1937...this was an animated short movie produced by Walt Disney, which won the Best Animated Short Film award. For my card, I used the 'Living Water' set by Our Daily Bread designs, along with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies . This is my new fave set for quick cards, especially for masculine cards. The image was stamped in kraft, sentiment stamped in black, edges sponged, corners pierced, and it's finished! My fave part about this card is that it only took 49 cents to mail...woo hoo!!!

Minecraft Birthday
Hi, everyone! This is a card I made for my nephew, who loves the video game, Minecraft. Though I know absolutely nothing about the game, I found out that there are Minecraft movies on Youtube and also, was able to search and find some photos which helped me to create this pixilated 'Creeper' character. Three different shades of green and some black cardstock were cut into 1/4" squares and adhered to a 3x3 square panel. Ha, silly me, I thought that this would be an easy idea, but cutting and adhering all of those tiny squares took FOREVAH!!! :) The sentiment is from 'Little Boys' by Our Daily Bread designs. For embellishments, I used some square brads which have been in my stash for many years.

Rustic Birthday
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Laine Webb aka Crafterlaine....congrats, Laine!! I loved the layout of this beautiful card and used the same layout to create a masculine birthday card. My new "go-to" set for masculine cards is this new set from Our Daily Bread designs, 'Living Water'. Coloring is not my forte, so I love sets that I can leave uncolored and over-stamp the sentiment. The background panel was stamped with the 'Wood Background' stamp. The panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and coordinating ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies. I had a scrap piece of burlap ribbon on my desk, so I trimmed off the stitched edge, pulled one strand from each edge for a frayed look, then adhered it across both panels, as Laine did on her design. Instead of pearls, I used black metal brads.

Birthday Pup!
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration at the Vera Bradley online store....I fell in love with the colors of this throw blanket. My card incorporates the aqua, caramel/rust, black, and a touch of gray (in the collar). I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: the adorable pup is from the 'You Are Pawsome' set, the sentiment from 'Little Boys', and the frame was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. This card is for a nephew who just turned one.

Our Daily Bread designs December New Releases!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs December New Release party!!!! Kelley has done it again....there are four amazing new stamps sets and three new "got-to-have" cutting die sets as well!!! Check out the entire release HERE! If you'd like a chance to win some ODBD stamps, please follow the instructions below:
* Julie * Dawn * Amy * Cathy * Lori * Sandee * Robin * * America * Lisa * Grace * Sabrina * Chris * Silke *
My two samples today feature these new and previously released items:
My first card features the Saddle Up set, the new ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Matting Circles Dies, and the ODBD Custom Happy Birthday Dies set. The background is real denim from a pair of jeans which has been in my fabric stash for many years. When I saw the Saddle Up set, I knew I wanted to create a "dapple gray" look. The image was stamped onto the die cut circle (cut with the ODBD Custom Matting Circles Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies), plus again on scrap cardstock so that I could fussy cut them and pop them up with foam tape. The white sections of the horses were highlighted with a clear glaze pen, then once dry, the gray was sponged on the bodies and the manes and tails were colored with a marker. The glaze pen acted as a resist. To create the dapple look, I dotted a white gel pen lightly plus added slight water marks all over with a paintbrush. The 'Happy' was cut from the ODBD Custom Happy Birthday Dies set and the 'birthday' was cut by hand from the Happy Birthday sentiment in the Saddle Up set.
For my next card, the image from Plough the Fields was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then watercolored. Vintage is not normally my style, but I thought an old-fashioned tractor with faded paint would work well. The ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies fit this image perfectly and it was matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set. The background panel was stamped with the Wood Background in kraft ink, then the sentiment was overstamped in black. Since the image was partly water-colored with artichoke ink, I added artichoke denim ribbon for an accent before popping up the image panel with foam tape.
Thanks so much for hanging out with us!!
God bless!!

Living Water - ODBD Sneak Peek
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Susie Nelson....congrats, Susie!!! Wow, there were so many awesome projects to choose from but I finally decided on this awesome masculine card. Instead of a square panel for the image, I used the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies, and an upcoming set, Living Water, all by Our Daily Bread designs. The image was stamped in caramel, overstamped in indigo. The edges were sponged with caramel and suede. Instead of designer paper, I used three pieces of ribbon to the left. This was a super quick card....yay!!

ODBD Sneak Peek - Plough the Fields
Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving!!! After a few days of "down time", I'm back in the stamping groove!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a photo from your Favorites Gallery to recreate. I picked this awesome card by Lois aka clownmom....I love the sponged panel with the silhouette....so striking! I am using an upcoming set by Our Daily Bread designs, 'Plough the Fields', plus two new dies sets (ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies) which will all be available on December 1st. I love this stamp set so much, especially since I'm always needing help in creating masculine cards. I started by cutting the white rectangle, masked the top and bottom, sponged the center portion with rust, olive, blue, and purple, removed the masks and stamped the image in black. Though Lois' card was very CAS, I added linen thread, the die cut circle for the sentiment, plus three metallic dots in the corner.

For My Sweet Friend
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Kimberly VanDiepen aka mkkimber...congrats, Kimberly! I chose this awesome card to recreate using the Be Joyful set from Our Daily Bread designs. Though I did not do the spotlight technique as Kimberly did, I did heat emboss the floral image onto the kraft cardstock, then colored with markers. Instead of using die cut flowers, I fussy cut some of the flowers from the Be Joyful image, then added clear gems.

A Friend Touches Your Heart
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a photo from Audrie's Inspiration Pinterest Board.....I fell in love with these gorgeous mini-wedding cakes!!! For my card, I started with a pink card base, rounded the corners to mimic the shape of the cakes, cut two branches with the ODBD Custom Lovely Leaves Dies and colored the centers brown, then added a layered flower cut with the ODBD Custom Birds and Nest Dies Set with a pearl center. The white panel was also rounded, paper pierced, stamped with the Bless Your Heart set in pink, then overstamped the sentiment from Quote Collection 4 in black. The pink satin cord was added to mimic the pink around the bottom of the cakes. The pink cord frayed when cut, so I put craft glue on the ends, then once they were dried, I cut them into shape.
Before I go, I would like to request that prayers be sent up for my dear, sweet designer sister, Grace Nywening, who is going through treatment for breast cancer. Please see this blog post for more details about Grace. Thank you for your prayers!!
Have a blessed weekend!

Deer Silhouette Birthday
Hi, everyone! I have used the following Splitcoast challenges to help me with this card. The Ways To Use It Challenge is 'What's Cooking?' (how about some venison steaks? Yum!!); The Clean and Simple Challenge is to use leaves....do silhouetted leaves count?! I needed a quick birthday card, so I cased this awesome CAS card using the North Coast Creations set, 'Deer Silhouette Greetings'. Wow, what a fun card to make.....and super quick too!! All I did was cut a white A2 card, masked off one corner, sponged olive, pumpkin, and daffodil, removed the mask, then stamped the images and sentiment in black. The birdies I drew by hand.....ha, you can tell that I am no artist! I can't wait to try this same masking technique with some other stamps...wheee!!!

Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jo Nevill aka Rambling Boots....congrats, Jo!! I chose this beautiful card to recreate using the 'Floral Sentiments 6' set by North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs). Instead of using a small strip of designer paper like Jo, I used a piece of ruffled ribbon instead. The image was stamped in Stazon, then water-colored. Though Jo's card was very CAS, I chose to add paper piercing and three little pearls.

Rockin' with Elvis!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration at LL Bean. I knew I wanted to use my new Elvis stamp for my nephew's birthday card, but didn't know how to begin until I saw this duffle bag.....royal blue seemed to be a perfect fit with black! The Elvis image and sentiment are from Crackerbox Stamps...I found these at a stamp show a few weeks ago and could not pass them up (since I'm an Elvis nut!) I used blue mirror paper for the mat and die cut stars, plus a stencil for the background stars. The blue stars were cut with the Our Daily Bread designs Custom 'Sparkling Stars' Dies. The Elvis stamp was inked once and stamped three times in a row. I got this idea from my scratch paper where I had stamped off earlier......Eureka!!!

I chose this gorgeous card to recreate, using the ODBD Custom Fancy Fritillary Die, ODBD Rustic Beauty Paper Collection, and the Ornate Border Sentiments set. The designer paper was 6x6 with morning glories at each corner.....I fussy cut the flowers from one corner then cut the remaining panel to A2 size and reattached the flowers.
