Hi, everyone!
This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Kathy aka CarolinaKathy.....congrats, Kathy!! I really loved the animal silhouettes in this awesome card and decided to create a night scene with this 'Grace and Peace' set from Blue Knight Stamps. I began with a white card base, stamped the images multiple times in the Misti in order to get solid coverage. A circle mask was temporarily adhered before blending the navy and purple ink to the background. The mask was removed and a slight amount of leftover ink was brushed onto the white to soften it a bit. The Blending Brushes I used are from Divinity Designs LLC.

Grace and Peace
Hi, everyone!
This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Dagmar aka gutsport56....congrats, Dagmar!!! I chose this awesome card today as inspiration for my card which I will mail to my brother for his birthday. I recently picked up this awesome silhouette stamp from Blue Knight Stamps at a stamp show and I'm excited to ink it up. The image was stamped multiple times with Stazon Jet Black, then the background was sponged. The panel was cut out with a Pierced Rectangles Die from Divinity Designs LLC.

Anniversary Fireworks!
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use a silhouette on your project. My card today was created for my in-laws' anniversary, using some goodies from Divinity Designs LLC. The eggplant frame was cut out with the Pierced Frames Dies; the sentiment from 'Lovely Day' was cut out with the Sentiment Strips with Layers Dies. The silhouettes were cut with the Park Silhouettes Dies (coated with a clear glaze pen and glitter pen on the light.) The cool fireworks designer paper is from the Landscapes Paper Pad.

Lose Yourself In Nature
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Sherwin Williams site....I chose this wallpaper sample....the colors and silhouette really spoke to me! For my card, I chose the 'Find Beauty' set by North Coast Creations. The stamp was inked up with lime green and wisteria to match the sponged background. This panel was actually my second try....I first used lime and gray as in the photo but it did not look good at all, so I chose a smoky purple instead...I could have finished the original, but it is very likely that I would never send it to anyone. Once the panel was sponged and stamped, it was cut out with a tall rectangle die from the Divinity Designs Custom Lever Card Layers Dies set. Purple sequins and baker's twine were added as finishing touches.

Live In The Sunshine
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jill aka JD from PAUSA....congrats, Jill!! I have been a fan of Jill's work for many years.....after cruising through her awesome gallery, I finally decided on this amazing card since I'm a sucker for sunsets and silhouettes! For my card, I have used 'The Outpost' set from Artistic Outpost. I will also be submitting this card to Stacy's 'Tank of Gas' Getaway VSN Challenge since this country scene reminds me of Young's Dairy in Ohio which is a little over 2 hours away.....I have made it there and back on one tank (depending on the vehicle!). Since this stamp was not a full silhouette, I sponged dark gray and green to shadow the scene against the sunrise/sunset. The sky was also sponged, with yellow, orange, and red. To keep it flat for mailing, I used a small hole punch to create 'faux brads' for the black layer. The edges of the card base were sponged for a little dimension.

Cling Wrap Sunset
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Mary aka redi2stamp...congrats, Mary! For my card, I chose to case the layered layout from this beautiful silhouette card from Mary's gallery and have combined this challenge with this week's Friday Free4All Challenge and the Inspiration Challenge. The Friday Free4All Challenge was to use cling wrap techniques and though I did not stamp on Friday, I couldn't get cling wrap off of my mind. When I saw this gorgeous pink and orange table setting on 'A Beautiful Mess' on Saturday, I decided that I would use these colors with some cling wrap to 'stamp' a background! For my card, a piece of cling wrap was crumpled up and used to dab tangerine and melon ink onto white cardstock. the panel was cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rounded Rectangles Dies and the shaped card base was cut with the ODBD Custom Rounded Rectangles Dies. An oval was cut out from the inked panel with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Ovals Dies, then the large silhouette from 'Bon Voyage' was stamped in black and a partial circle was sponged for the sunset. (A black journal pen was used to color in the stitches at the bottom.) Instead of a sentiment panel like Mary's card, I cut the 'Dream' sentiment three times from the ODBD Custom Inspiration Words Dies set and layered them at the bottom. The top looked a bit bare so I added some tangerine ribbon.

CAS Deer Silhouette Birthday
Hi, everyone! With thoughts of cookouts for Memorial Day, this week's Friday Free4All Challenge theme is ketchup and mustard (use red and yellow on your cards!) I needed a quick birthday card to mail out today, so I chose the North Coast Creations 'Deer Silhouette Greetings' set. I cut a mask from scratch paper using the ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies set, then sponged Barely Banana, Real Red, and a little Elegant Eggplant in the corner. This card took about ten minutes to make...cha ching!! :)

I fell in love with this gorgeous card because of the beautiful colors and silhouette design! the silhouette stamps I used are from the 'Bird Borders and Corners' set, the sentiment is from 'Sentiment Collection 3', and the panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. I will be sending this to my BFF who I haven't seen in over a year.

Inspired Tropical Birthday
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from the Cuaros Pinterest Board.....I just about fell outta my chair when I saw this amazing piece!! I was hoping to find some inspiration to help me with my brother in law's birthday card and this was absolutely perfect! The silhouettes and sentiment from 'Bon Voyage' were stamped in Stazon Jet Black (plus extra sponging in black at the bottom), a die from the ODBD Custom Circles Dies set was used for the mask and reverse mask for sponging the scene, then the panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. I did not add any embellishments so that it would look like framed art. I will also be submitting this to the July 'Time To Relax' Fan Club challenge....what's more relaxing than a tropical sunset?!

Flourish Like A Palm Tree
If you are looking for the July New Release party for Our Daily Bread designs, scroll down one post or click HERE.
***************************************************************************************************
Happy Saturday, everyone!! This week's Inspiration Challenge is all about designer paper. I chose a turquoise polka dot pattern from the ODBD Boho Bolds Paper Collection, cut it to 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 (same size as my card base), then centered and nested two dies from the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The outside (leftover) rectangle was adhered to the inside of my card (you can see it peeking out). The silhouette and scripture verse from 'Bon Voyage' were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, the sky was sponged with blue, magenta, and tangerine. The polka dot frame was popped up with foam tape; the flower cut from the ODBD Custom Hibiscus Dies and ODBD Custom Ferns Dies was popped up in the corner. Two blue gems were added for a simple embellishment. I will also be submitting this to the Sunrise/Sunset Fan Club Theme Challenge.
Thanks again for visiting!
Have a very blessed weekend!!!

On My Mind, In My Heart
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Mary Deatherage aka Stamps-n-lingers (what a fun username!)....congrats, Mary!!! I chose this beautiful card to re-create since I LOVE to mask and sponge backgrounds! I used the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies set to cut both my main panel and the mask over which I sponged the olive and blue ink. Once the sponging was done, I taped down the same die and embossed with it to create the pierced border. The wildflower silhouette and sentiment are from the 'Miss You' set, also by Our Daily Bread designs. This is a 'thinking of you' card for my sister's father-in-law who sadly is in hospice care.

Looking Back At The ODBD May Mid-Month Release
Hi, everyone! Today we are taking a look back at the mid-month release for Our Daily Bread designs. I am in love with the new silhouette sets, Howdy, and Ride Em Cowboy! The creative possibilities with these sets are endless!!
Below are the new and previously released items from Our Daily Bread designs which are featured in my two cards today:
My first sample was super quick and easy. The image panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies (the embossed lines are from the next smaller die). The card base was stamped with the Wood Background, then lines (and faux nails) were drawn with a black marker to look like a wooden frame. After stamping the silhouette from Ride 'Em Cowboy in black, the sky was sponged with red, purple, and blue before stamping the scripture in red.
For my next card, I used the Howdy set. I love this image since it can be for guys or girls. I made this card for my friend, Debbie, for her birthday. I based the colors on the plaid pattern from the ODBD Rustic Beauty Paper Collection. The designer paper was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies.....I love that the largest die is the perfect size to layer onto an A2 size card! The other dies used on this design are: ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Fence Die, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, and ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies.

Happy Birthday, Cowboy!
Hi, everyone!! I've combined this week's Sketch Challenge 594 with Color Challenge 584, which is curry, pumpkin, watermelon, plus your choice of green for dessert (I hope adding a neutral brown is okay). Instead of circles, I changed the shaped elements to stars since they went with the cowboy theme. This is a birthday card for one of my nephews. I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs in the making of my card: Ride 'Em Cowboy, Wood Background, ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies, and ODBD Custom Double Stitched Stars. The medium sized die-cut star was turned into a button with a hole punch and strip of leather.

May Mid-Month Release for Our Daily Bread designs!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the May Mid-Month Release for Our Daily Bread designs! Click HERE to see all of the new sets and dies together. If you'd like to win a gift certificate to shop at Our Daily Bread designs, follow the instructions below:
Here are the new and previously released items featured in my two projects below:
My first card is a CAS and OLC design (Clean and Simple) and (One Layer Card), featuring the new "Howdy" set. No one said that this silhouette has to be a guy, so I made this birthday card for my niece who is a horse lover and 100% country girl. I made a mask by tearing a piece of scratch paper, temporarily adhered both sides to my white card base, sponged purple and pink, removed the masks and stamped the silhouette and sentiment in black. Baker's twine and three pink pearls were added for embellishments.
My second card features both the "Howdy" set and "Ride 'Em Cowboy" set, along with the Wood Background stamp, ODBD Custom Fence Die, ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies and the ODBD Custom Circles Dies (to cut a mask to sponge the sun). The large cactus from "Howdy" was stamped in green then fussy cut. The scripture verse and half of the image from "Ride 'Em Cowboy" was stamped in green, cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Ovals Dies set. Using a die from the ODBD Custom Circles Dies set, a mask was created in order to sponge the orange sun. The background panel (cut out and "re-sized" into a square with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies set) and green fence (cut with the ODBD Custom Fence Die) were stamped in green with the Wood Background stamp. Linen thread was sewn into the top corner (after piercing with a paper piercer) to coordinate with the thread woven around the fence.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
