Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday! It's a rainy day here in Indiana, which is fine by me as long as it doesn't turn to snow....ugh, I'm sooooo over the winter weather!! So, since there will be no "toodling about" outside, I'll be stamping my little heart out today! Today's Inspiration Challenge today over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Damask Love blog.....wow, Amber is so talented and has many cool tutorials and projects there! I chose this post (scroll down to the green card), for an opportunity to use some new April stamps and dies from Our Daily Bread designs. The background was stamped with the "Chalkboard Vine Background", the chalkboard sentiment from the "Chalkboard Collection Designer Paper Pack" was cut out with the "ODBD Custom Vintage Flourish Pattern Die Set", the little flower was made from combining three die cut pieces from the "ODBD Custom Ornamental Cross Die Set", and the leaf was cut from the "ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set". (The new April products listed above will be available on April 1st.)
I will also be submitting this for the ODBD Shining the Light "Anything ODBD" Challenge, which lasts another week, by the way!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!!

Ladybug Birthday Card
Happy Friday!! Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use circles on your project. I made a super quick birthday card using the ladybug images from the "Zinnia" set by Our Daily Bread designs, cut out with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set. The sentiment is from the "Quote Collection 4" set, also by ODBD. The largest circles were stamped with the ODBD Gingham Background. The basic card design is based on this beautiful card by Diane aka fionna51 who is our brand new Queen for the Day.....congrats, Diane! I forgot to leave a space for some baker's twine, so I decided to leave it as is and not try to pry the circles back up....that never ends well for me! :)
Thanks for stopping by! Come back tomorrow for a sneak peek of the upcoming April sets by Our Daily Bread designs!!

Sweeter Than Honey
Hi, everyone! I couldn't resist the CAS style Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast today, especially since I had several die cuts already stenciled and ready to go......worked perfectly....yay!!! Though this is a simple design, I did squeeze in quite a few ODBD products: Sweeter than Honey (scripture), Bee Happy (bee), ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set (bee), Honeycomb Mini, Daisy Chain Background Die, Elegant Ovals Dies (sentiment panel), and ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die Set (2 flourishes on top and bottom of sentiment panel). I will be submitting this for the ODBD Shining the Light Challenge, which is to use only ODBD stamps and dies.....no problem! :)

My Peace I Give You
Hi, everyone! I normally do not stamp much during my work week, but needed a few minutes of stamp therapy after a rough day at work. Today's Color Challenge at Splitcoast plus our latest Queen for the Day Challenge.....(congrats to Lori McAree!!), both helped me to create this quick sympathy card which I need to mail to another friend this week. The colors of cantaloupe, pistachio, pool party, and black were part of a "choose at least 3" challenge and the design was based on this beautiful card from Lori's gallery. The main panel was dry embossed, matted in black, colored lightly with sponges, the verse from ODBD Scripture Collection 13 was stamped, then cut out with an oval die. The oval was adhered to the card base and the main panel was popped up with foam tape. The Hummingbird was stamped in black, then colored with cantaloupe, pistachio and pool party, and cut out with the ODBD Custom Hummingbird Die.

Heaven and Earth Sympathy Card
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Penny Ward.....congrats, Penny! I chose this beautiful card as inspiration for this sympathy card I will be sending to a dear friend this week. Instead of using stamps around the edge like Penny's card, I chose to use a corner embossing folder. The scripture verse is from a new anniversary set from Our Daily Bread designs, called Scripture Collection 12. The corner die cut piece was cut out with the ODBD Custom Ornate Borders and Flower Die Set.

Journal Inspired Birthday Card
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a photo from Ruth Bleakley's flickr gallery......I loved the washi tape pattern on this journal book....though I don't own any washi tape, I created a similar pattern from the "Blooming Garden Collection", some new custom designer paper from Our Daily Bread designs. The sentiment and bees are from "Bee Happy" and the little bees were cut out with the ODBD Custom "Zinnia and Leaves" Die Set. This is a birthday card for my neice.....ideas are hard to come by sometimes, which is why I love Splitcoast challenges....they give me a starting point. As in any task, taking the first step is the most difficult, but after that, no problem!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend!!

Clean and Simple Congrats!
Hi there! My nephew was chosen as Employee of the Month, so I just had to make him a card to congratulate him! The stamp set I used is Father's Day by Our Daily Bread designs and the designer paper is also by ODBD, called the "Blooming Garden Collection". I was searching on Splitcoast last week for some CAS inspiration and came across this awesome card by Weekend Warrior, so I have used her design for my card here.

Sympathy Lilacs
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a CAS card from Loll Thompson's amazing gallery.....I chose this gorgeous card to case. Instead of a dry embossed layer, I chose to use some new designer paper from Our Daily Bread designs, called The Blooming Garden Collection, along with a scripture verse from a new 6th Anniversary release called Scripture Collection 13. In Loll's gallery, you will see many gorgeous cards on which she used dies to create cut out frames, so I did that here with the ODBD Custom Antique Labels and Border die set. The top and bottom were cut with the border die in that same set.

The Lord Bless You and Keep You
Hi, everyone!! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is my dear sweet friend and design team sister, Diana Nguyen.....congrats, Diana!!!! Diana is one of my all time fave CAS artists.....check out her amazing gallery HERE! I chose this beautiful card to re-create......I didn't change much since I loved it so much and wanted to make a card just like it for my brother's birthday. I used the Lighthouse Collage single from Our Daily Bread designs....it's the same image that's in the Keep My Lamp Burning set, but there are more graphics on the left side instead of an open space for scripture....now that I own both, I have more creative options! The scripture, also one of my faves, is from Scripture Series 1.....did you know that you can get a slightly smaller version of this scripture in the Bookmarks-Scriptures set?!
The lighthouse image was stamped in mustard onto ivory cardstock, and stamped again in black, cut out the lighthouse, sponged the edges with mustard ink and adhered to the full image. Instead of using the three strands of cord, I chose to use up some of my mustard ribbon from my stash. An extra compass was stamped, cut out and popped up for a little dimension.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy 6th Anniversary to Our Daily Bread designs!!!
Happy 6th Anniversary to Our Daily Bread designs!!! Oh, how the time has flown since I joined Our Daily Bread designs back in 2008!! I had no idea then about the family I was gaining by being a part of this wonderful company! Thanks, Kelley, for taking a chance on an unknown stamper......you, Rick, and the entire team has blessed me so much and I am forever grateful! Mwaaah!!!
Today, the Design Team, Challenge Team, and Alumni Team have joined together for a special blog hop to show off the new Anniversary sets. Each year for ODBD's anniversary, the "Breadsticks" are each given an opportunity to choose a scripture, quote, or sentiment for a brand new stamp......hop to each of the blogs listed below to see what each of us chose for our new stamps, plus a preview of each stamp set as a whole. From those of you who leave comments, three will win a $25.00 gift certificate and one will randomly be chosen to win the 2014 Anniversary Bundle....woo hoo!!! You have until March 18th at 9 pm EDT to complete the hop. The winner will be announced on the ODBD Blog on March 19th......will it be you?! :)

For my stamp choice, I chose "Celebrate Life" since it could be used for many different types of cards or projects. For my samples today, I used my stamp and one other from the Sentiments Collection 3 set shown below:
My first sample also features the Zinnia set, Honeycomb Background, ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Die Set (balloon dies), and the ODBD Fence Die. The Zinnias were embossed white on white, then sponged in purple and yellow. Since balloons are generally round, instead of using the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Dies, which match the stamps perfectly, I chose to use the ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Die Set, especially since there is a die in the shape of a balloon valve (what is the correct name for a balloon end anyway?! lol!!)
My second sample features another beautiful stamp from Sentiments Collection 3, plus the new Bee Balm single, the bees from Bee Happy (cut out with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set), ODBD's Blooming Garden Collection Designer Paper, and the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die Set.
Thanks so much for helping us to celebrate today! Hope you enjoy the new sets and all of the gorgeous samples from my Sistah Sticks!
God Bless!

Sweeter Than Honey
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to find an item from Packaging of the World as your inspiration. I loved this jar of honey with the honeycomb included, plus the tag with the cute little bee and dots which reminded me of paper piercing (my fave technique for cards!) I started by stamping the images from the "Sweeter Than Honey" set, colored with a marker and sponging, dotted the lid with a chalk marker, then used Glossy Accents to create the shine on the jar and the honey. The little bee from "Bee Happy" was stamped then cut out with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set. The card base was stamped with the Honeycomb Background and some piercing was added for a little extra somethin'! The card design comes from this beautiful card by Kim aka berlycece, who was just dubbed Queen for the Day....congrats, Kim!!!
Thanks so much for visiting with me today! Have a blessed weekend!!

Friends are Flowers
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge is to choose a photo from Audrie's "Rain Board" on Pinterest. I chose this photo of adorable cookies and used the pink and yellow colors along with the polka dot theme. This week's Queen for the Day is Penny aka Pawallen142......congrats, Penny!! I chose this beautiful card to re-create using the Zinnia set from Our Daily Bread designs, along with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set to cut out the flowers. The zinnias were clear embossed on white, sponged with yellow and pink, then liquid pearls was added to the centers.

Though I haven't had a chance to play with all of the new stamps and dies, I have used several which I have listed below. To see the entire new release, check out the New Release Post on the ODBD Blog or head over to the ODBD store and add one of the fabulous $-saving bundles to your cart!!
My first sample features the new Daisy Chain Background Die, along with the bee image (cut out with the custom die from the Zinnia and Leaves Die Set) and sentiment from Bee Happy, framed with the ODBD Custom Antique Labels and Border Die set. I love this die because it cuts beautifully, it's so easy to stencil, and the frame and design makes it easy to use foam tape behind it without cutting a ton of tiny little pieces to pop it up! Time saver...yay!! (Tip: the bee wings were colored with a glitter pen.) The card base was stamped with the Honeycomb Background for a little extra character.
My second card features the Zinnia set, the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set, the previously released ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders die set (from which I cut four borders and mitered the corners together to form a frame), and the new custom ODBD designer paper called the Blooming Garden Collection. The Zinnias were embossed in white on white cardstock, then sponged with yellow ink. I fussy cut several extra layers for the top and popped each layer up with foam tape.
My next card is a sneak peek which I shared last weekend. The designer paper is another gorgeous pattern from the Blooming Garden Collection, which coordinates with many new and previously released stamps set by ODBD. The dragonfly image is from the Faithful Friend set and the sentiment is from the Dad set. I LOVE how ODBD stamps never go out of style!!!!!
This is another sneak peek from earlier in the week which features another gorgeous pattern from the Blooming Garden Collection Designer Paper pack, plus a sentiment from "Bee Happy".
Thanks for hanging out with us today! Have a beautiful, blessed weekend!!!
