Grace and Peace

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Dagmar aka gutsport56....congrats, Dagmar!!!  I chose this awesome card today as inspiration for my card which I will mail to my brother for his birthday.  I recently picked up this awesome silhouette stamp from Blue Knight Stamps at a stamp show and I'm excited to ink it up.  The image was stamped multiple times with Stazon Jet Black, then the background was sponged.  The panel was cut out with a Pierced Rectangles Die from Divinity Designs LLC.

Copper Leaves

Hi, everyone!  This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to feature your fall cards.  For my card today I copper embossed the leaves from the Lacey Leaves Stamp/Die Duos set from Divinity Designs LLC, then sponged them with all of my favorite fall colors.  The sentiments are from the Many Blessings Stamp/Die Duos set. The small sentiment was cut and framed with the Sentiment Strips 2 Dies.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy your weekend!

Divinity Designs LLC October New Release!

Hi, everyone!  Wow, September flew right by and now it's time for another new release from Divinity Designs LLC!  Before I discovered stamping, my favorite hobby was cross-stitching, so I was super excited to see the new cross stitch dies and sewing theme this month!!  To see the entire new release plus some AMAZING samples from the design team, click HERE!

Here are the new products featured in my projects for today:

My first card features the 'Keep Me In Stitches' stamp set, Embroidery Hoop Set Dies, and the Slimline Cross Stitch Background Die.  Additional products used: Floral Favorites Paper Pad, Large Alphabet Dies, Slimline Pierced Rectangles Dies, Slimline Rectangles Dies, Slimline Scalloped Rectangles Dies, Slimline Card Base Die.  Please note:  The cross stitch dies require a shim in order to completely cut out the tiny holes.  I used this fact to my advantage with my embroidery hoop design.....the scripture verse was stamped on white cardstock; without an extra shim I used the die so that only the outer edges would cut through. I placed a scratch paper mask over the area with the stamping (between the panel and the die), replaced the die and ran through again.  On the back side of the panel, I used scotch tape over the areas with the stamping to keep the partially cut holes in place, then poked out the ones around the edge.  Then the rest of the hoop was cut and assembled.  For the floral panel, I chose a pretty pattern from the Floral Favorites Paper Pad to be used with the Slimline Cross Stitch Background Die; a pretty pink border was stitched through the cut-out pattern.  A second piece of the same paper was used to cut a matching panel for the top layer, cut with the Slimline Rectangles Dies, matted with the Slimline Pierced Rectangles Dies.  After cutting and embossing the Large Alphabet letters, a clear glaze pen was used on the embossed areas.

My second card is a "clean and layered" design, featuring a wonderful quote from the 'Jesus is the Stitch' stamp set.  Other items used for this card are as follows: 'Soulful Stitches' Paper Pad, Sewing Set Dies, Scalloped Rectangles Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set. I love the simplicity of this card....simple stamping, sponging, and die-cutting....the most difficult part was wrapping the thread spool and gluing the thread to the card!! :)

Stay tuned throughout the month for more cards which include stitching!

Thanks for stopping by!!
