Unfrogettable

Hi, everyone!  It's time for another Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast!!  For my card, I used one of my fave Stampin Up sets, Unfrogettable, along with the following cutting dies from Divinity Designs LLC: Double Stitched Rectangles, Double Stitched Circles, Double Stitched Rounded Rectangles, and Clouds and Raindrops (for stenciling the clouds). The images were stamped with Stazon Jet Black, then colored with markers or water-colored. The leaping frog and dragonfly were popped with foam tape.  Metallic yellow dots, clear glaze pen (on the eyes), and glitter pen (for the wings) are the only embellishments.

Hap-Bee Birthday

Hi, everyone! It's time for another fun Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast! For my card, I began by creating a Wrinkle Free Distress background using mustard and cocoa ink; once dry, the panel was cut out with the largest die from the Pierced Rectangles Dies.  The Quilted Honeycomb Background Die was used with mustard cardstock, then a portion of it was cut by hand for the center of the card.  The rectangle in the center was cut with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, using the Die-Resizing Technique to make it taller.  The Honeycomb Mini stamp (retired) was used on the center panel.  The bees and sentiment are from the 'Bee-Lieve' Stamp/Die Duos set.  Other dies used: Double Stitched Circles, Circles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.  Linen thread was added at the top and a glitter pen highlighted the bee wings.  This will go into my birthday stash. (Note:  all stamps and dies are from Divinity Designs LLC.)

Birthday Roses

Hi, everyone!  For my card today, I've combined the Featured Stamper Challenge (congrats to Patti aka pepperann! I cased this beautiful card for the awesome layout and die cut edge.) along with Saturday's Inspiration Challenge.  This week's Inspiration Challenge site is Soft Surroundings.  I absolutely fell in love with this Analisa Skirt....the red roses against the ivory lace and aqua blue....yummy!!!!  For my card, I used a stamp set from Divinity Designs LLC called 'Rose Bouquet' along with the Decorative Vase Die, Leafy Edged Borders Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, and a blue pattern from the Shabby Rose Paper Collection. The rose image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, fussy cut with paper snips and a craft knife, colored with rose pink and red markers, then popped up with foam tape.

Divinity Designs LLC Mid-Month Release!

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to the 2nd New Release party for Divinity Designs LLC for September!  To see all of the new items and gorgeous designer samples, visit THIS POST.

Here are the new items I have used for my two card samples for today:

My first card is a Slimline design which features the new Lacey Leaves Stamp/Die Duos set, the new Slimline Rounded Windows Die and the following items: Many Blessings Stamp/Die Duos, Flourises Embossing Folder, Pierced Rectangles Dies (matted with the Sentiment Strips Dies), Slimline Scalloped Rectangles Dies, and the Slimline Card Base.

Peeking through the triple window is a Wrinkle Free Distress panel (using the same color inks as the leaves) which was embossed with the Flourishes Embossing Folder.  All of the leaves (and the sentiment) were copper embossed then sponged with various inks.  Copper cardstock and copper cording were used to accentuate the copper embossing.

This is a view of the inside, which features two more of the copper embossed leaves, the Slimline Pierced Frame Die, Scalloped Ovals Dies, Pierced Ovals Dies, Ovals Dies, and a sentiment from the Seasons Change Stamp/Die Duos set.

My second card features the new Pumpkin Layering Combo Dies (LOVE), a pretty design from the Festive Fall Slimline Paper Pad, the largest of the Pierced Frames Dies set, the 'Happy' Stamp/Die Duos set, Sentiment Strips Dies, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set.  Peeking through the gold layering of the pumpkins is an alcohol ink panel of red, orange, and gold tones.  The sentiment was gold embossed to match the gold cardstock used.  Golden yellow sequins, linen thread, and burlap ribbon were used as embellishments.

Jesus Loves Me, This I Know

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is MaryJo aka Icela52.....congrats, MaryJo!  I chose this beautiful card to case from her gallery to create a birthday card for my niece who loves singing 'Jesus Loves Me' in church.  For my card, I used the Pierced Rectangles Dies to cut a fun design from the 'Pretty Pink Peonies' Designer Paper, cut out the center of the scroll with a Pierced Ovals Die, stamped the song lyric from a retired set, 'Princess', then matted it with the Ovals Dies and Scalloped Ovals Dies. The tiny hearts are from the Clouds and Raindrops Dies; other dies used: Matting Rectangle Die and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies. (All products used are from Divinity Designs LLC.)  Baker's twine was used across the bottom instead of on the side as MaryJo's card.

Beautious Autumn Days

Hi, everyone!  For this week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast, I decided to create a fun gate-fold with cut-away corners.  The card base was covered with a fun design from the Festive Fall Slimline Paper Collection, inside and out.  The Fall Flowers Pumpkin Stamp/Die Duos mini set was used for the front and a sentiment from 'Seasons Change' Stamp/Die Duos was used on the inside with a Double Stitched Ovals Die.  The cut edges on the front were lined with strips cut with the Bitty Borders Dies set.  Golden yellow sequins were added, along with a small piece of burlap ribbon. (Paper, stamps, and dies are from Divinity Designs LLC.)

The Voice of the Sea

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Barbara aka sproatmeyer....congrats, Barbara!  I chose to case this sailboat card from Barbara's gallery since I needed some inspiration to create a birthday card for my uncle.  The sailboat and waves are from an old Stampin Up set, Winds of Grace; the quote is from 'The Sea' mini set by Divinity Designs LLC; and the Divinity Designs LLC Dies used are the Double Stitched Rectangles and Sentiment Strips. Once the sailboat and waves were stamped, masking and reverse masking were used to sponge the background scene.  Two aqua metallic dots and white gel pen accents were added for simple embellishments.

Divinity Designs LLC September New Release

Hi, everyone! Welcome to the first of two releases this month by Divinity Designs LLC (stay tuned on the 15th for part two!)  To see all of the new products, amazing designer samples, plus info on how to win some goodies, check out THIS POST.

Here are the items featured in my samples for today:

My first card features the 'Rooted in Christ' stamp set, along with the following items: 'He Shall Be Called' Background stamp, Pennant Flags Dies, Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set.  For my card design, I began by stamping the tree image in Stazon Jet Black, colored the image with markers, then clear-coated everything with a clear glaze pen (as a resist).  The background was sponged, then the tree was masked with scratch paper.  The 'He Shall Be Called' stamp was inked with craft ink, then stamped over the entire panel.  The panel was cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, then the edges were sponged with craft.  Antique brass brads. linen thread, and the sentiment panel were added for finishing touches.  I am so excited that for once the vision in my head was transferred to paper just like I wanted!!!

My second card reminds me of the area in which I am so blessed to live....open farm fields, blue skies, vintage trucks, etc.  I used the awesome new Slimline Pierced Frame Die with a gorgeous leaf pattern from the Festive Fall Slimline Paper Pad.  The images and sentiment are from the 'Loads of Love' Stamp/Die Duos set.  The other dies used to create this scene are as follows: Slimline Grasses, Slimline Curvy Slopes, Slimline Clouds, Treat Tags, Double Stitched Pennant Flags, and the Slimline Card Base.
