Every Time I Think of You

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is all about envelopes!  Today I am sharing a note card and envelope set which I created for a co-worker to give to her mother.  We are so lucky to have so many incredible die sets to choose from now, which do all of the heavy lifting.  Crafting has come a long way!!!  I have used the following items from Divinity Designs LLC in the making of this card and envelope:
Stamp/Die Duos: Special Person
Paper: Beautiful Blossoms 4 Paper/Die Duos, Beautiful Blossoms 4 & 5 Coordinating Paper Pad
Dies: Gift Tag and Envelope, Long and Lean Letters
Misc: Blending Brush, Gingham Ribbon

Lovely Day Balloon Shaker

Hi everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge is to use balloons on your project. My card today is a colorful slimline design with three balloon shakers. Stazon Jet Black ink was used to stamp the sentiment from 'Let's Celebrate' onto an acetate sheet before assembling the center shaker. Here are the items from Divinity Designs LLC used to create this: Pierced Balloon Shakers Dies, Slimline Card Base Die, Slimline Rectangles Dies, Geometric Paper Pad Slimline, Foam Mounting Tape, and sequins.  Baker's twine was glued to the card at the end.

Divinity Designs LLC - Blessings Box - More Inspiration

Hi, everyone! Today I will be sharing three more projects created with the January Blessings Box from Divinity Designs LLC! This has been one of my favorite packages so far.....I will be using these sentiments and butterflies a LOT in the future!!
My first card is for my Mom's birthday.  I used silver metallic paper for the butterflies and hearts since it looked great with the pink/gray combination.  These are the items used for this card:
Stamps: Beautiful Day
Paper: Rose A2 Card Fronts
Dies: Butterfly Layering Combo 3, Ornate Hearts, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer
Misc: Foam Mounting Tape and a Glitter Pen (for the sentiment's hearts).
Next is a fun design for a friend who is a Leap Year Baby.  She just turned "20" and is almost old enough to have a legal drink! :)  Her favorite color is purple, so I used purple foil cardstock with some dark ivory shimmer cardstock.  Here are the items used for this card:
Stamps: Beautiful Day
Paper: Watercolor Flowers A2 Card Fronts
Dies: Butterfly Layering Combo 3, Long and Lean Numbers, Pierced Circles, Circles, Pierced Rectangles, Squares, Square Card Base with Layer, Lacey Square Frame, Lavish Layers
Misc: Foam Mounting Tape, Blending Brushes, Glitter Pen, and sparkly gems.
For my last sample for today, I used the same designer paper and silver metallic as on the first card.  Here are the items used:
Stamps: Beautiful Day
Paper: Rose A2 Card Fronts
Dies: Butterfly Layering Combo 2, Ornate Hearts, Ovals, Pierced Ovals, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer, Beautiful Border 1
Misc: Blending Brushes, Foam Mounting Tape, Glitter Pen.

Da Brains Go In Here

Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Michelle aka mcstamperNE....congrats, Michelle! I absolutely loved the triple window slimline design of this awesome card....so fun!  I stuck with green and purple but used different shades and flipped the slimline to landscape instead of portrait.  My card is for one of my sisters, who loves horror movies. The images from 'Zombie Boy' by Whimsy Stamps were stamped onto watercolor paper with Stazon Jet Black, then water-colored with an aquabrush. A clear glaze pen was used on the jar, tongue, and eyeballs.  The following dies from Divinity Designs LLC were used for the card base and framing: Slimline Rounded Window, Sentiment Strips 2, and Slimline Card Base.

CAS Blue Floral Thank You Cards

Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast (and my MISTI) helped me to make a group of thank you cards very quickly. I chose this beautiful navy blue floral bedspread for my inspiration piece. I chose the Flowing Flowers set from Stampin Up and Stazon Navy Blue ink. I am hooked on permanent inks for designs like this since the ink dries instantly and doesn't smear. I absolutely hate ruining a card with ink blobs or smears, dont you?! :)

Divinity Designs LLC 'Birthday Flower of the Month - March'

Hi, everyone! It's time to reveal this month's Birthday Flower of the Month, the Daffodil!!  I am loving these mini stamp sets, especially since there are dies for each stamp, including the sentiments!!  Find out how to get yours HERE!
For my first sample today, I paired the Birthday Flower of the Month - March Stamp/Die Duo with the fun Polka Dots & Gingham Slimline Paper Pad and the following dies: Ovals, Scalloped Ovals, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.  The Daffodil image was stamped onto white vellum, colored with Blending Brushes and markers on the underside, then adhered to white cardstock; this helped the white to appear brighter.  It looks amazing in person!  Some clear gems were added as a simple embellishment.
For my next card, I created two coloring stencils by stamping the image onto Yupo paper, then fussy cutting around the outside of the image, one for the whole flower and another for the center. The stamens were colored with a marker, coated with a clear glaze pen, then the color blending began.  I love to color with blending brushes in order to get a smooth, blended look, since I don't have Copics.  The Fence Die and daffodil were popped up with Foam Mounting Tape over a fun design from the Spring Flowers 2 Slimline Paper Pad.
