Hello Sunshine!

Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Bermuda Bay with the dessert option of using two extra colors. For my card, I created a panel using the 'Wrinkle Free Distress' Technique with four different shades of aqua.  I used some fun dies from My Favorite Things to cut away from the blue panel and show the coral panel beneath.  A glitter pen was used to highlight the sun and letters plus some gems were added.  The panels were cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies and Matting Rectangle Die from Divinity Designs LLC.

Divinity Designs LLC - Blessings Box Samples Part Two!

Hi, everyone!  Today I would like to share a few more samples created with the latest quarterly Blessings Box from Divinity Designs LLC.  Check out the details of the subscription package HERE.

For my first sample, I used Blending Brushes with the 'Water Spray' Mixed Media Stencil with different shades of blue in on Kraft cardstock. Once finished, I used Glimmer Mist spray....unfortunately the camera didn't pick up the sparkle. Foil cardstock and gemstones were used for a little more glam!
As you can see, I love foil cardstock...here is a different shade of blue. The glittery layer is white cardstock, covered with a clear glitter adhesive film. Parts of the blue foil were covered with this before die-cutting the umbrella. Some of the raindrops from the background were popped up with Foam Mounting Tape.
For my last card, I used the Paper-Piecing technique....the boots were stamped onto the designer paper, cut out and adhered over the stamped image.

Desire of Your Heart

Happy Friday, everyone!  This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to share our graduation cards.  This clean and simple design was created for a co-worker's daughter.  It only took about 15 minutes to complete.....sweet!!  The stamp set I used, 'As You Graduate', is unfortunately retired from Divinity Designs LLC, but it's still a fave of mine because I love to created a blended sky for the background.  I used the MISTI to stamp the scripture verse onto the card base and it took several layers of ink to get a solid black image for the scene.....LOVE my MISTI!!!  For the scene, I used blending brushes and sponge daubers with lavender, orchid, pink, and yellow ink pads.

Splitcoast Stampers' Color Challenge #1000!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is number 1000!  I am honored to be a guest designer for the Color Challenge team for May and was super excited to be a part of this monumental challenge!  There are six past color challenges to choose from.  Each of the hostesses listed will be giving away goodies to some lucky participants!  Check out the challenge details HERE!  Hope you have a chance to play along!

For my card, I chose previous challenge# CC908: Basic Gray, Fresh Freesia, Bermuda Bay, with the dessert option of dies.  For my card today, I used some 'oldie but goodie' items from Divinity Designs LLC.  The fun designer paper is from the Notable Notes Paper Pad and I based the other elements around the colors in the paper.  The saxophone image is from 'Marvelous Things', colored with markers (using my MISTI); the sentiments are from 'Rock Star'.  The musical notes are from the 'Musical Notes Dies' set.  Other dies used are Pierced Squares, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set.

Delicate Garden

Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Coastal Cabana, Sweet Sorbet, and Flirty Flamingo. I did not used the dessert option of die cuts since I chose to create a one layer card. I love the floral sets from Altenew and gave this one a try on kraft cardstock. I used the MISTI for the image and sentiment to ensure a solid outline for both.  The card did not warp at all during the water-coloring process....what a pleasant surprise!

Divinity Designs LLC Birthday Flower of the Month - May

Hi, everyone! It's time to reveal the next Birthday Flower of the Month for May.....it's the Lily of the Valley!  I am so very lucky to have these beautiful flowers on my property.....you know that it is definitely spring when they make an appearance!!!
For my sample, the image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black, cut out with the coordinating die, colored with markers, then coated with a clear glaze pen.  The glaze gives the white flowers a glow when you see them in person.  I chose a fun pattern from the Spring Flowers 2 Slimline Paper Pad for the background, mostly because of the bright blue sky and gorgeous colors of the crocus.  The panel behind the Lily of the Valley image was colored with a Blending Brush. Foam Mounting Tape was used to pop up the panels for dimension.  Here are the dies used: Scalloped Rectangles, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.

Divinity Designs LLC May New Release

Hi, everyone! Welcome to the May New Release party for Divinity Designs LLC!  This month's release may be small, but packs a HUGE punch!!!  I am obsessed with this super cool die and coordinating stamp sets!!!!!  Any product so versatile as this goes straight up to the top of my go-to list!!!!  To see more beautiful samples, visit Divinity Designs LLC HERE or hit up their Instagram HERE!  Enjoy!!!
My two sample cards for today were basically made at the same time since their pieces were "traded". One panel was cut from copper foil cardstock and the other panel was cut from Yupo paper on which alcohol inks were blended. To adhere the inlay pieces, I used Adhesive Sheets to create a sticker panel for the underside of each die cut.....no tricky gluing using this method!!!! I am IN LOVE with this Pierced Sunrays Background Die!!!  You can turn it any direction and it's just as cool!!!  The first card also features the Sunshine and Layer set; the 2nd card features the Sending Sunshine Stamp/Die Duo set.  Other dies used are: Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer, Sentiment Strips 2.
Thanks so much for visiting!
