Hi, everyone! Only three more days until the March New Release Blog Hop over at the Our Daily Bread designs Blog! Today I have another sneak peek to share.....this features the "Apron and Tools" set, one of two new ODBD Exclusive Spellbinder die sets to be revealed. As soon as I saw this adorable apron, I knew that I wanted to make an ODBD Stamp Show apron, like the one I will be wearing this weekend at the Indianapolis show. I used the Our Daily Bread Designs stamp from the Seed Packet stamp set....too bad I didn't have a tiny lighthouse to stamp on there as well!
I cut out a shaped card with the Apron Die with black cardstock and the scissors from silver metallic. The company name was stamped in White Stazon with a Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner, then a white gel pen was used for the "stitching". Some black eyelets were used to thread the ribbon through. If you visit the ODBD booth at the Indy stamp show, you will be able to see this in person this weekend!! Speaking of stamp shows, check out the show schedule HERE to see if ODBD is coming to your area!!
I will be submitting this for the ODBD Shining The Light Challenge, which is "Black and White (or cream)"......let's see your black and white creations!!! I will also be submitting this to the "Twist of Faith" Card Challenge, which is stitching, faux or real.
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Spring!
Hi, everyone!! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a CAS card from the amazing gallery of Ceal Pritchett aka simplybeautiful. I have been a fan of Ceal's work for many years and did not want to pass up the opportunity to case one of her cards......I fell in love with this beautiful one layer sympathy card. I used the Pussy Willow image from the upcoming new set by Our Daily Bread designs, called "Happy Spring" (will be released on March 1st).
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderfully blessed week!!

ODBD Sneak Peek - Strawberry Cake!
Hi, everyone! Today I am sharing some new stamps by Our Daily Bread designs, which will be released on March 1st. The background of my card was stamped with the new "Gingham Background" stamp and the "Cake Single" image was layered over the doily from "Birthday Blessings".
This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Andrea Hayes aka stampinandrea....congrats, Andrea!! There were so many incredible cards in her gallery to re-create, but I decided on this cute square card with the gingham background and doodling.
Thanks for visiting with me today!

You Are Such A Blessing To Me
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a pin from Designs by Lucinda as your inspiration. I fell in love with this gorgeous Dream Flower Pin....one of my fave colors is amethyst and who doesn't like a bit of pearl and glitter too?!
This card was so easy and so fun....I will be making more like this, but with different images.....learning how to do CAS, clean and simple, has really taken some stress from me since my "normal" cards used to take several hours.
I stamped the "Daisy" image and sentiment from "Flourished Verses" (both from Our Daily Bread designs), colored the image with sponges and markers, sponged around the edges, added glitter pen to highlight the flowers, then added the ODBD Fence Die. Easy Peasy!!! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a blessed weekend!!

Birthday Chalkboard
Happy Friday, everyone!! This week's Queen For The Day over at Splitcoast is the wonderfully talented Carole aka ckbythesea! Congrats, Carole!! I chose this beautiful card from Carole's fabulous gallery. This is a birthday card for a dear friend of mine....I hope she likes it!!
The stamp I have used for this is from one of the new chalkboard sets by Our Daily Bread designs, called "Chalkboard - Birthday and Thank You"...there are two stamps in this set. I love that there are so many options with these chalkboard stamps....ink them in any color, emboss them, color the white sections, or go with the straight black and white......too fun!!
Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Have a very blessed weekend!!

For my sample today, I am using a stamp from the NCC Crazy Critter line....Fishing Buford.....isn't he too cute?!
"Fishing Buford" was stamped onto white cardstock, colored with markers, the waders were paper-pieced using gray designer paper from Basic Grey, the image was fussy cut and popped up on foam tape over a simple scene which was sponged using scratch paper masking. The sentiment was cut letter per letter from different words in the ODBD "Large Scrapbook Words" set.

"The Shepherd"
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to find an item from Limoges Box Collector.....so many different themes and styles of porcelain boxes to choose from.......I chose this rare/retired Sheep Resting In Meadow box. I have created a simple, one layer sympathy card for my brother-in-law who lost his dear grandmother this week....I felt that "The Shepherd" set by Our Daily Bread designs was very fitting since the Lord's prayer is comforting in times of sorrow.
I have also used the Our Daily Bread designs Shining the Light "Animal" Challenge. There is a new weekly challenge every Tuesday.....play along for a chance to win a gift certificate to the ODBD store!!
The lamb image from "The Shepherd" was stamped on an A2 sized white card, the grass was sponged over a scratch paper mask, the clouds were sponged over a punched scalloped circle, the image was colored with markers, then the scripture verse was stamped, using a Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner in order to get it straight. From start to finish, this card took less than 30 minutes.....for those who are speedy, it would have taken about ten minutes! :)
Thanks for stopping by for a visit! Have a very blessed weekend!!!

Remembering With You
Hi, everyone! This week's newly crowned Queen For The Day over at Splitcoast is Mary aka octoberbabe.....congrats, Mary! Wow, what a fantastic gallery.....full of gorgeous-ness and creativity (and lots of Clean and Simple inspiration too!) I chose to re-create this beautiful sympathy card because I loved the one layer design plus the sponged oval for the center. I did add a bow and some pearls, but kept the design as similar as possible.
For the center, I placed one of the dies from the Our Daily Bread designs "Elegant Ovals" die set onto the card, and sponged inside the die with yellow and peach ink. The Calla lilies and sentiment are from the "Loving Memories" set by Our Daily Bread designs. The May Arts satin ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy and the pearls are Zva Creative.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Retirement.....by the Sea!
Hi there! Today I would like to share a "soothing" card which I made for my wonderful mother-in-law, who just retired. I am so happy for her....she has been waiting for a long time and now the day has come! I knew I wanted to use the "Happy Retirement" set from Our Daily Bread designs and used one of my fave color combos.....aqua and corals! Today's Free For All Challenge at Splitcoast is to use your favorite colors, so here they are!
This was a quick and easy scene.....stamped the beach scene, added the sentiment in the sand, colored the sky and sand with sponge daubers and ink pads, colored the rest with markers, added paper piercing around the edges, and for a finishing touch I went with May Arts twine and a seashell charm. Since the twine was pretty thick, I added two layers of foam tape to the back of the panel to pop it up.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a very blessed weekend!!!

Crocus Flowers for Queen Beate!
Hi, everyone! The reigning Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast is the mega-talented, Beate Johns....congrats, Beate!!! What an honor to help her to celebrate! Her gallery is full of amazing creations!! I chose this beautiful card to re-create, even though it ended up with a few changes, for example, pearls and the ribbon and bow were added, and paper piercing was added all around instead of in one corner. The card panel was embossed and sponged (using a Spellbinders Labels Eight die). I wanted to use my new Crocus image from the "Let the Earth Rejoice" set by Our Daily Bread designs, but it wasn't quite the height needed for this size panel and so I added the ribbon....voila!!!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Let The Earth Rejoice';
Cardstock: White;
Accessories: Sizzix Embossing Folder, Spellbinders Labels Eight die, paper piercer, Zva Creative Pearls, May Arts Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, sponge dauber, foam tape, Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner;
Size: A2.
Thanks for visiting!

Our Daily Bread designs February New Release Blog Hop!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs February New Release Blog Hop!! If you have hopped here from Dawn's amazing blog, you are in the right place. If not, please head over to the ODBD Blog and start at the beginning....we sure don't want you to miss a thing! Hop from blog to blog, check out the new sets and samples from the "Breadsticks", leave a comment for each, then head back to the ODBD Blog and let us know that you have completed the hop. The hop will run until Saturday, 2/2/13 at 8 pm EST. There will be three gift certificates for stamps awarded.....one for $20, one for $40, and one for $60...woo hoo!!!
The set I chose to use for the hop is Chalkboard - John's, which includes two amazing scripture verses surrounded by just the right amount of beautiful flourishes and "winged things".....love this set!!!!
For my sample, I wanted to show that these beautiful chalkboard stamps may be used with any color ink plus embossing techniques as well as the chalkboard technique. The stamp was inked up with Versamark, stamped on white cardstock, then heat embossed with "Enamel" embossing powder to give it a ceramic look. The image was then sponged with bright yellow and orange inks (to match the Bo Bunny designer paper) and the excess was wiped off of the embossed part....this is called "Emboss Resist". It's hard to see in this photo, but the bottom white panel was stamped with the "Small Butterfly Background" stamp to coordinate with the butterflies on the main panel.
In case you missed my sneak peek with the Chalkboard - Amazing Grace set, I thought I would share it again here in order to show that you can achieve more than one look with the same type of stamp!
Now.....on with the hop!!!! Your next stop will be with my dear, sweet, mega-talented DT sistah, Sabrina!!!!
Happy hopping and God bless!!
