Hello!! Happy Sunday!! My card today was created using one of my favorite challenges from Splitcoast Stampers....the Queen for the Day Challenge. This week's Queen for the Day Challenge is to choose one of our past Queens which usernames are from E to I......I have chosen this beautiful card from Karen's gallery (aka imastampin). I loved the simple, elegant design....perfect to make a quick birthday card. My nickname for Karen has been "Wolverine" for several years since she uses her nails for distressing her paper! :)
I will also be submitting this to one of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges at Splitcoast (exclusive challenges for Fan Club members only). I can't tell you what the challenge is, but the fabulous hostess is former "Breadstick" Stacy Morgan aka twinshappy. You'll have to join the Fan Club in order to find out what the fun is all about (there is a total of 42 challenges, a few each day....for an entire week!)
I have used the ODBD "Gingham Background" stamp, along with the "Grunge Butterfly Die" and "2-Step Butterfly", and a sentiment from "Mini Tags 1". The heart doily is from the Target $1 spot.....I picked them up earlier this year around Valentine's Day, but knew I would use them before next February!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

Remembering With You
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today I have a one layer, clean and simple sympathy card to share with you. I will be submitting this to several challenges at Splitcoast Stampers from this week. The Clean and Simple Challenge on Monday was to use masking on your OLC, one layer card.....I cut out a scratch paper mask of my image in order to sponge the baby blue around and within the calla image, then removed the mask and colored the lily with markers. Today's Inspiration Challenge is to choose a photo from The Pastry Studio.....I chose this beautiful "Mary" wedding cake with the blue ribbon and callas....so elegant (and yummy)! I have also incorporated this week's Queen for the Day Challenge.....choose a queen from A to B and choose a card to case.......I chose this gorgeous one layer card from Lynn aka allee's gallery (though I did add ribbon at the top). Lynn is super sweet and has a fabulous gallery full of beauty (and lots of ODBD cards too)!!
This beautiful set is "Loving Memories" by Our Daily Bread designs.....I use this a lot for sympathy cards because of the lovely calla lilies and there are many different sentiments to choose from.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful weekend!!

You Have Blessed My Life!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers is to choose any item from the "Poketo" site as inspiration for your project. I chose this cactus planter set because the orange and green colors really stood out to me and I knew I had some retired SU designer paper to match...yay!!! Last week I did not get a chance to make a card for the Featured Stamper Laura Nehring aka thecraftysister, so I chose this beautiful card from Lauras' gallery......congrats, Laura! This week's Friday Free 4 All challenge is to pick one of the past F4A challenges....I chose F4A170 "Repeat After Me" and used more than one pearl...two different sizes....plus the pattern on the dsp is repeating as well.
For my card, I used the "Be Joyful" set by Our Daily Bread designs to make a birthday card. I love this simple design......can't wait to use it again!
Thanks for stopping by!

Heaven's Masterpiece
Hi, everyone! Today I have another birthday card to share. This week's Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast Stampers is the sweet and talented Faith aka yabbadodo......congrats, Faith!!! After cruising through her amazing gallery, I chose this beautiful card to re-create using the North Coast Creations set, "Heaven's Masterpiece". The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to choose an item from "Lilly Pulitzer" for your inspiration.....I love the colors in this beautiful dress, so I sponged aqua, coral, and pink for the background of my silhouette scene.
Thanks for stopping by today!! Before I go, I just want to remind you that you will no longer see my posts in your Google reader since it will disappear after today. If you are subscribed via Google reader, please head over to my blog and subscribe via email instead.

CASE for Queen Lori!
Hi, everyone! This week's Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast is one of my Design Team sisters from Our Daily Bread designs, Lori Ulrich aka saintsrule.......congrats, Lori girl!!!!! She is super talented and has the most fabulous gallery! I chose this beautiful card to re-create, using the "Precious Girl" set by ODBD. I loved the quilted background, so I created a different style of quilt, using one of the sentiment stamps from the "Precious Girl" set stamped onto squares stamped with the "Gingham Background".
The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to find an item from Shop Thomas Paul.....I fell in love with the soft colors from this Tweeter Ornament Set, so I based my card around these colors.
Please forgive the crooked sentiment.....it was stamped onto the image panel straight, but when I was adhering it to the Spellbinder die cut (Opulent Ovals), the adhesive grabbed on before I was ready...EEK!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Gingham Background' and 'Precious Girl';
Cardstock: SU Pistachio Pudding and Whisper White;
Accessories: Spellbinders 'Opulent Ovals', Paper Piercer, foam tape, sponge daubers;
Size: A2.
Thanks for stopping by today!

Hello, My Friend!
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose an item from the Etsy store, jennspendants. I chose this beautiful Bird Necklace Scrabble Tile Pendant.....I absolutely love pink and green together! These colors reminded me of some Pink Paislee designer paper in my stash which I have been hoarding. The design of the card I borrowed from this gorgeous card by Emily aka Stamp Muse, who was crowned Queen For The Day this week......congrats, Emily!
The three "faux pendants" on my card were stamped with the ODBD Cathedral Window - Marble stamp, then the individual sections were cut out, colored, and framed with a Creative Memories punch which I have had for many years but have not used before. The sentiment is from the ODBD "Sentiments Collection 2" set.
Before I sign off, just wanted to let you know that Our Daily Bread designs will be discontinuing quite a few stamp sets and you can pick them up, while supplies last, at a 40% discount......check them out HERE on the Retired/Clearance page.
Have a beautiful weekend!!
Blessings,

Happy Mother's Day!
Hi, everyone! Thanks to a bunch of fun challenges this weekend, I was able to create all three of my Mother's Day cards in one evening......one for Mom, my step-mom, and mother-in-law. The Our Daily Bread designs Shining the Light Challenge is to use four out of five letters of S.P.R.I.N.G......S=sunflowers, P=paper piercing, R=replicated (it's a case, plus I made three), I = insects, N=nature, G= glitter pen. This week's Queen For The Day at Splitcoast is Sandy aka Stampingwriter.....what a fun gallery....I chose this beautiful CAS card to re-create. The Friday Free 4 All Challenge is all about Mother's Day. I didn't have a clue what I was going to use for my Mother's Day cards until I saw the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast....choose an item from Wedding Decor....I chose this honey scented soap set as inspiration.
The little bee on the front is from the "Happy Mother' Day" set, but ODBD now has a matching "Stamped By" single stamp for the back of our cards.....love it!!! This one is the "Bee Mini". The Mom sentiment on the ODBD Elegant Ovals panel is from the "Mom" set and if you look close, you can see the Honeycomb Background stamp on the yellow card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Quatrefoil Blessings!
Hi, everyone! After a couple of crazy-busy weeks, I am so happy to play along in a challenge this morning! The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to choose an item from the YUMMY Godiva Chocolate online store, so I chose these sunflower chocolate decorations for my inspiration. I used the Quatrefoil Pattern Design die from Our Daily Bread designs along with a sentiment from the Sweet William - Small set. The Prima flower was ivory, but a few sprays of 'Lemon Zest' Glimmer Mist gave me just the color I wanted. The "Fanciful Flourish" swirl by Cheery Lynn Designs was in leu of the olive ribbon in the photo. The white pearl center of the flower was replaced by some cocoa colored pearls by Zva Creative. When it was all put together, I used my fave 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist all over.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a very blessed weekend!

Burst Into Song, You Mountains!
Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday!! I will be working on taxes this weekend (ugh), but had to squeeze in the Inspiration Challenge from Splitcoast before I get started. I chose this Biking book from Patina for inspiration. This is a birthday card for a co-worker. I wanted to make a CAS (clean and simple) card, so I went to the gallery at Splitcoast and searched for both "CAS" and "Masculine" and I discovered this beautiful card by Karen Dunbrook to CASE (copy and share everything)....thanks for the design inspiration, Karen!!
The stamps used are from the "Keep Climbing" set by Our Daily Bread designs. I used 2 pieces of scratch paper (and non-permanent adhesive) to mask off the stamped and sponged area. Some baker's twine and a button were all the embellishments needed. I will definitely make more like this.....quick and easy!!!
Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Yummy Birthday Cupcake!
Hi, everyone! My great-niece turns two today....this is her birthday card. I don't have many cutesie stamps for toddlers, so I opted for the Cupcake Plate, Gingham Background, and Baking Tag Sentiments from Our Daily Bread designs. I used the Inspiration Challenge for the colors and the Queen For The Day Challenge for the layout of the card. The IC is to choose an item from Madewell....I chose this beautiful purple dress with yellow and coral flowers. Val aka Greywolf is this week's Queen for the Day.....congrats, Val!!! I chose this beautiful card, though once I finished I realized that I should have had a rectangle behind my image....oops!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Gingham Background', 'Cupcake Plate', 'Baking Tag Sentiments', 'Baking Gift Tags';
Accessories: May Arts Crocheted Lace and Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy, , 'Recipe Card and Tags Die Set'; Zva Creative Pearls, Paper Piercer and template, sponge daubers, foam tape;

You Are Such A Blessing To Me
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a pin from Designs by Lucinda as your inspiration. I fell in love with this gorgeous Dream Flower Pin....one of my fave colors is amethyst and who doesn't like a bit of pearl and glitter too?!
This card was so easy and so fun....I will be making more like this, but with different images.....learning how to do CAS, clean and simple, has really taken some stress from me since my "normal" cards used to take several hours.
I stamped the "Daisy" image and sentiment from "Flourished Verses" (both from Our Daily Bread designs), colored the image with sponges and markers, sponged around the edges, added glitter pen to highlight the flowers, then added the ODBD Fence Die. Easy Peasy!!! :)
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a blessed weekend!!

You Have Blessed My Life!
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is so fantastic......choose any item from the Layla Grayce store to help create a card or project. If you can't find any inspiration there, then I'm afraid that there is no help for you! ;) I chose this beautiful three drawer chest.....the gorgeous flowers instantly reminded me of some Basic Grey 'Picadilly' papers I have.
The layout for my card is from this week's Mojo Sketch Challenge 275. Their sketches are always fabulous, but it seems that there is never enough time in the week to squeeze it in. For the first sketch each month, prizes are awarded, so I'm happy to be able to play along!!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Be Joyful';
Designer paper: Basic Grey 'Picadilly';
Accessories: Cheery Lynn Designs 'Fanciful Flourish Small', Zva Creative Roses and Pearls, Prima Crocheted Lace, silk ribbon (threaded), Spellbinders Classic Circle and Square Nestabilities, Sponge Dauber, Foam Tape, Paper Piercer and template;
Size: 5-1/2 x 5-1/2.
Before I go, I wanted to remind you that Our Daily Bread designs has a CHA sale going on right now.....20% off of all stamp sets and singles (bundles are already discounted and will not be included in this sale). The sale will end Saturday, 1/12/16 at midnight EST. Check out the deets HERE on the ODBD Blog.

"Reflections" Birthday Blessings
Hi, everyone!! I needed to make a quick birthday card today, but my mind was blank, so I checked out my fave challenge, the Inspiration Challenge from Splitcoast. This week's challenge is to find inspiration from the MacKenzie-Childs store.....when I saw the colors of this tile, it reminded me of some Prima "Reflections" designer paper plus some matching die-cut notecards which I picked up at a stamp show last year. The Prima notecards are perfect for making quick cards and the sentiment stamp from Our Daily Bread designs' "All Occasion Sentments" fit just right in the center of it!!

Fishers of Men - Less and More!
Hi, everyone!! This week's "Queen For The Day" over at Splitcoast is the uber-talented Pam MacKay.....congrats, Pam!! I chose this awesome card from Pam's wonderful gallery to re-create, even though I messed up the design of the bottom section (that's what I get for counting on my memory!!) I really loved the design of this card with the ticket-punched corners, so I made two different versions, the first for a co-worker (more of a simple version) and the second sample below is for a friend of the family (with a few added details).
The Inspiration Challenge today at Splitcoast is to choose an item or photo from the Restoration Hardware Baby and Child store to inspire your creation......I chose this cool boy's room......the colors were so fantastic together, so I dug out this designer paper and the "Fishers of Men" stamp set to go with it.
Below is version 2 of the same design, which I like more since I could add the scripture verse to it. (Unfortunately, for certain co-workers, I have to be a little more selective with sentiment choices, so the first card only has a Happy Birthday sentiment.)
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Fishers of Men' (Fishing Creel and Lure images, plus scripture verse on 2nd card) and 'Dad' (Happy Birthday sentiment);
Cardstock: Stampin Up 'Brocade Blue', 'Creamy Caramel' (retired), and 'Very Vanilla';
Designer paper: The Paper Loft;
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Stampin Up Artichoke Denim Ribbon, Antique Brass Brads, paper piercer and template, sponge daubers, foam tape;
Size: A2.

Almond Blossoms Inspiration
Hi, everyone! After spending several days out of town, spending a lovely Thanksgiving with hubby's Grandma and family, I am refreshed and ready to do some stamping!!! The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is my fave challenge and always gives me the creative nudge I need to get started. This week's challenge is to choose an item from GelaSkins......I chose this gorgeous painting from Vincent Van Gogh....the colors are beautiful, plus I wanted to use my new Spellbinders Cherry Blossoms dies for the first time!
I chose some Prima designer paper (Annalee) for the background since it had both blue and green hues. The branches were cut from Creamy Caramel and sponged with Close to Cocoa; the blossoms were cut out of Whisper White and sponged with Barely Banana. The sentiment is from the "Chickadee Ornament" set by Our Daily Bread designs......since this is a birthday card for a friend, I inked up the word "Blessed" (from the "Blessed is the Season" stamp) with a marker.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Chickadee Ornament';
Cardstock: Stampin Up 'Creamy Caramel', 'Whisper White', ;
Designer Paper: Prima 'Annalee';
Accessories: Spellbinders 'Cherry Blossoms' Die Set, Paper Piercer and template, foam tape, sponge daubers, Zva Creative pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch;

Wishing You Peace / CASE-ing Chris!
Happy Saturday, everyone! I have incorporated several challenges for my card today. My dear sweet ODBD Design Team sister, Chris Olsen, was dubbed Queen for the Day at Splitcoast a couple of weeks ago....I was swamped with "life stuff" then and didn't have a chance to re-create one of her cards. Better late than never, right? I chose this gorgeous card from her amazing gallery as my inspiration, along with this week's Shining the Light Challenge, which is to make an all white card....this was a bit challenging for me! I will also be submitting to the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast.....I chose this beautiful lacy gown from Angelic Dreamz for inspiration.
The beautiful sentiment I used is from the "Christmas Flourished Verses" set by Our Daily Bread designs....I absolutely love the swirly font!!! The card base was cut out with Spellbinders Grand Labels One using my Grand Calibur and the layers are Labels One and Decorative Labels One. The sentiment tag is from the Spellbinders Fancy Framed Tags One set. Though I did not use flowers as Chris did, I had to include the "Fanciful Flourish" by Cheery Lynn Designs!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Christmas Flourished Verses';
Cardstock: Stampin Up 'Whisper White';
Designer Paper: SEI 'White Elegance';
Accessories: 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, May Arts Sheer Ribbon, Bow Easy, Zva Creative Pearls, Spellbinders Grand Labels One, Labels One, Decorative Labels One, and Fancy Framed Tags One, foam tape, Cheery Lynn Designs 'Fanciful Flourish';
Size: 5 x 5.

Faith As A Mustard Seed
Hi, everyone! Today I am playing along with the Featured Stamper Challenge #300 over at Splitcoast, along with a few other challenges. This week's featured artist is Jen Mitchell......I had a blast cruising through her gallery and chose this beautiful card since I had never used this type of design before. I needed to make an uplifting card for a young man (16) who is going through treatments for lung cancer.....the "Keep Climbing" set by Our Daily Bread designs was first to come to mind when I heard about Kevin through a stamping friend.
I will also be submitting to the following challenges as well:
The Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast yesterday was to choose any item from Artful Home.....I chose this powerful photograph for my inspiration.
The ODBD Shining the Light Challenge this week is to create a masculine project.
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Keep Climbing' (image and sentiment), 'Mountain' (scripture);
Cardstock: Stampin Up Creamy Caramel (retired) and Whisper White;
Designer paper: Basic Grey 'Little Black Dress';
Accessories: Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities, May Arts Twill Ribbon, Paper Piercer and template for square, freehand piercing on circle, foam tape, sponge dauber;
Size: A2. (Card is 4-1/4 square....with added circle, total size is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.)
Thanks for stopping by today! God bless!
