Cactus Fun

Hi, everyone!  Today I would like to share a fun card created for a co-worker's birthday.  This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Urban Owl.....when I saw this cool cacti photo, it reminded me that I had not used my 'Let's Stick Together' stamp set from MFT in a while.  The Color Challenge over at MFT was perfect for the images.....I hope the yellow background counts as a neutral!  I stamped the pots onto the card first; I was going to mask them and stamp the cacti over them but instead I stamped extra pots to layer over the top.  The pots were sponged with gray, fussy cut, and then coated with a clear gel pen.  The cacti were colored with markers; the flowers were coated with a clear pen as well.  The background was colored with a Blending Brush.

October New Release by Divinity Designs LLC

Hi, everyone! It's time for another new release from Divinity Designs LLC!!  This month we are focusing on Thanksgiving....my personal favorite holiday of the year!!  Check out all of the new goodies (and awesome samples) HERE!

Here are the new items featured in my three projects for today:
For my first card, I used the Lacey Square Frame Die set to cut a shaped card.  The designer paper layers under the rose gold metallic paper is from the Rustic Beauty Paper Pad.  The center of the Lacey Square Frame was cut out with a Double Stitched Circles Die.  On the top layer is the new (awesome) Give Thanks and Layer Die set, cut out of the rose gold and matted with more of the wood design from Rustic Beauty.
My next card features the Turkey Time Dies (super fun to make!), the awesome Leaves Background Die (cut from copper metallic), and a sentiment from 'Happy Fall' Stamp/Die Duos from the September release.  The sentiment was cut with the Pennant Flags Dies and matted with the Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies set.  Also used was the Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, along with Foam Mounting Tape and Blending Brushes (for accenting the turkey.)
My third card for today is a slimline design, featuring the Give Thanks and Layer Dies and my fave pattern from the Thanksgiving Slimline Card Fronts pack.  Since I still  had my metallic cardstock folder out, I cut two red flowers with the Delightful Daisies Dies, to match the little flowers in the paper.  Also used was the Slimline Pierced Rectangles Dies, Slimline Rectangles Dies, Slimline Scalloped Rectangles Dies, and the Slimline Card Base.  The sentiment in the center was popped up with Foam Mounting Tape.

Thanks for stopping by!
