Minnie Mouse Birthday

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Cindy H....congrats, Cindy!!  When I saw this adorable card, it reminded me that I had not used this Minnie pre-made die-cut I bought at a scrapbooking booth last year at a stamp show.  Instead of red and yellow like Cindy's card, I coordinated the colors with the Minnie die-cut.  I used the following items from Divinity Designs LLC to create the card: 'Princess' stamp set (retired), A2 Thin Pierced Frame Die, Layering Hearts Dies, Clouds and Raindrops Dies (tiny hearts and clouds), Grass Hill Die, Blending Brushes, and Foam Mounting Tape. A yellow bow tied with the Bow Easy was the finishing touch.

Lookin' Sharp!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Sugar & Cloth.....when I saw these awesome potted plants, it reminded me of this super cute set from MFT, 'Let's Stick Together', which I had not used yet. I was cheap and did not buy the coordinating dies so all of the cacti and pots were fussy cut.  The tiny cactus flowers were colored with a yellow marker, then coated with a glaze pen before coloring the cacti with sponges and ink.  The background was created with scratch paper masking and sponging for the floor and the 'English Brick Wall' stencil was used for the wall.  The little stands were cut with the MFT 'Cat and Plant Perches' Dienamics set.  The sentiment and panels were cut out with the following dies from Divinity Designs LLC: Double Stitched Pennant Flags, Pennant Flags, Double Stitched Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer; also, Foam Mounting Tape.

Monster Birthday x 2!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Colleen aka Katchoo1.....congrats, Colleen!!  I thought this monster card was so cute and I love the green and purple combo, so I decided to use it for inspiration for birthday cards for two of my newphews.  I used the "Little Monsters" Stamp/Die Duos set from Divinity Designs LLC for their cards.  The first card has a Wrinkle Free Distress background created with navy, green, and purple inks.  Other items used for both cards: Pierced Rectangles Dies, Pierced Ovals Dies, Ovals Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, Sentiment Strips 2 Dies, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies.  The monsters were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then water-colored and popped up with foam tape.

For the next card, the same stamp set, dies, and inks were used, along with the Bubbles stencil and Blending Brushes, also from Divinity Designs.

Spring Garden Shed

Melinda Magyar

Hi, everyone!  This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from 'Fine Art America'......when I saw this awesome garden shed, it reminded me that I had not used the 'Garden Shed' set from Stampin Up which I bought last year. Yesterday's Friday Free4All Challenge was 'Hello, Spring', so I will also submit to that challenge as well. The image was stamped on white with Stazon Jet Black, colored with markers and Blending Brushes, then cut out with a Double Stitched Squares Die from Divinity Designs LLC. The sentiment was cut out with the Sentiment Strips 2 Dies. This will be a birthday card for my niece.  I colored the shed in yellow and purple since those are her fave colors.

Hello, Lovely

Hi, everyone!  This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create a spring-time card.....I cannot wait for my Magnolia trees to bloom!!!  For my card today, I gold embossed the sentiment and magnolia branch from 'Magnificent Magnolia' by The Ton on watercolor paper.  The image and background were water-colored with Stampin Up re-inkers and an aquabrush.  Once dry, the panel was cut out with a Pierced Rectangle Die from Divinity Designs LLC, matted with gold cardstock, then added gold cord and tiny Crystal Pixie Gems.  This is a birthday card for my niece.

Be Still

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is LynnZant....congrats, Lynn!!  Wow, Lynn's gallery is full of mostly scrapbook layouts and they are AMAZING!!  I chose this beautiful layout for inspiration in creating this birthday card for my sister-in-law who loves the beach.  The scene and scripture verse from 'Come To Me' were stamped with Stazon Jet Black; the scene was colored partially with markers and partially with Blending Brushes.  The chairs were coated with a clear glaze pen before sponging the sun.  The panel was cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies and layered with the Matting Rectangle.  The card was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layers Dies. (Stamps, dies, and blending brushes are from Divinity Designs LLC.)  Some linen thread was added to coordinate with the kraft card base.

Ju Jitsu Medal Inspired Card

Hi, everyone!  This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme is 'Turn Over A New Leaf'.  This gives me the chance to share a card which I made for my nephew who has been winning medal after medal for Ju Jitsu.  I used a photo of his medals as inspiration for this card.  I used gold metallic cardstock and gold mirror paper plus the following dies from Divinity Designs LLC: Squares, Circles, Bitty Blossoms, Sparkling Stars, Letter Board.  This was very time consuming but he LOVED it so much!  We are so proud of him!!
