Divinity Designs LLC - Blessings Box Samples Part Two!

Hi, everyone!  Today I would like to share a few more samples created with the latest quarterly Blessings Box from Divinity Designs LLC.  Check out the details of the subscription package HERE.

For my first sample, I used Blending Brushes with the 'Water Spray' Mixed Media Stencil with different shades of blue in on Kraft cardstock. Once finished, I used Glimmer Mist spray....unfortunately the camera didn't pick up the sparkle. Foil cardstock and gemstones were used for a little more glam!
As you can see, I love foil cardstock...here is a different shade of blue. The glittery layer is white cardstock, covered with a clear glitter adhesive film. Parts of the blue foil were covered with this before die-cutting the umbrella. Some of the raindrops from the background were popped up with Foam Mounting Tape.
For my last card, I used the Paper-Piecing technique....the boots were stamped onto the designer paper, cut out and adhered over the stamped image.
Thanks for visiting!

One In A Melon!

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'Let's Eat Outside'. For my card, I chose the 'Thanks a Melon' set by Divinity Designs, along with the 'Flower Burst' Mixed Media Stencil, and the following dies: Bitty Borders, Pierced Circles, Circles, Scalloped Circles, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, Clouds and Raindrops, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer. Blending Brushes were used for the stenciling and for coloring the image panel (using masking and reverse masking) and hot pink sequins were added (in real life they do match the card!) :)

Be Still and Know

Hi, everyone!  Today I would like to share a card which was created about a year and a half ago but did not get posted anywhere.  (I have about a hundred cards with the same status....life gets in the way of blogging, ya know?)  Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge is about 'Peace' and the Mixability Challenge is about 'Contentment'....I thought this card fit both of those challenges...my faith brings both peace and contentment.  The background panel (and top cross panel) were created with the Wrinkle Free Distress Technique (some call it the Smoosh Technique), by dabbing ink pads onto a craft mat, spritzing with water, then laying the cardstock in the puddle.  Once dry, the background panel was stenciled with both the Flourishes and Arrows Mixed Media Stencils. The scripture verse from 'Be Still' was heat embossed with pewter onto the 'yellow' Wrinkle Free Distress panel, then cut out with the largest of the Cross Layering Combo Dies set.  Other dies used: Bitty Blossoms, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.  Pewter brads were added to the corners to coordinate with the embossing powder.

#1 Dad

Hi, everyone!  This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'All About Dad'.....I'm cheating a bit since I made this card last year but never posted it anywhere.  I began with kraft cardstock, stenciled with brown, navy, and green inks with Blending Brushes over the 'Diamonds' Stencil from Divinity Designs LLC.  The letters from the 'Large Alphabet' Dies were used to cut out 'DAD', then popped up with Foam Mounting Tape, a bit offset so the navy mat showed underneath.  Other dies used are: Alphabet Caps, Sparkling Stars, Slimline Rectangles, Slimline Pierced Rectangles, Slimline Card Base.

Monster Birthday x 2!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Colleen aka Katchoo1.....congrats, Colleen!!  I thought this monster card was so cute and I love the green and purple combo, so I decided to use it for inspiration for birthday cards for two of my newphews.  I used the "Little Monsters" Stamp/Die Duos set from Divinity Designs LLC for their cards.  The first card has a Wrinkle Free Distress background created with navy, green, and purple inks.  Other items used for both cards: Pierced Rectangles Dies, Pierced Ovals Dies, Ovals Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, Sentiment Strips 2 Dies, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies.  The monsters were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then water-colored and popped up with foam tape.

For the next card, the same stamp set, dies, and inks were used, along with the Bubbles stencil and Blending Brushes, also from Divinity Designs.

Shake The Sand From Your Shoes

Hi, everyone!  This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use ivory, light aqua, and teal.  My card today features all three, along with some sandy designer paper which I hope will be considered a "neutral".  I have used the following items from Divinity Designs LLC in the making of this shaker card: Stamps: Jesus Saves; Paper: Beautiful Beaches; Stencil: Water Spray; Dies: Pierced Frames, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer; Misc: Shaker Supplies, X-press It Foam Tape.  After stenciling with the light aqua and teal, I used versamark and clear embossed the splashes before assembling the shaker.  Baker's twine was added for a final embellishment.

Hi, everyone!  Today I would like to share a CAS (clean and simple) card created for a friend's birthday.  The white card base was stenciled with light blue ink using the 'Circles' Mixed Media Stencil and Blending Brushes from Divinity Designs LLC.  Also from DD is this 'Fur-ever Friends' Stamp/Die Duos set. The image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black, water-colored, then popped up with foam tape over the sentiment which was cut and framed with the Sentiment Strips 2 Dies.  Some Crystal Rhinestones were added as a finishing touch.

Divinity Designs LLC December New Release

Hi, everyone!  Welcome to the December new release party for Divinity Designs LLC!  Check out the entire release plus some amazing designer samples HERE!

Here are the new items featured in my three samples for today.....please click the links in the descriptions for the previously released items:

My first card features the new 'Snowbirds' Stamp/Die Duos set (LOVE THESE BIRDIES!)  I was super excited that the birds were the right size to fit in the pockets from the Fishing and Hunting Vest Dies set!  The card base (and shirt) were cut with the Couture Collection Dies.  The buffalo plaid paper is from the 'Menswear Material' Collection.  The sentiment was framed and matted with the Rectangles Dies and Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set. A clear glaze pen was used to coat the zipper, snaps, and the birdies' eyes.

My second sample is a slimline design which features the adorable 'Beary Christmas' Stamp/Die Duos set and the new Slimline Cubes Background Die.  I began by using the Slimline Layering Rectangles Dies to cut a panel out of the Serenity Snowflakes Slimline Paper Pad.  The cube background was cut twice, once with the plum cardstock and again with shimmery white cardstock, so that I could insert shimmery snowflake shapes within the cube pattern before popping up the frame with foam tape over the snowflake designer paper.  The Slimline Curvy Slopes Dies and Slimline Rectangles Dies were used with the shimmery white cardstock to cut out the snowy hillside.  An Oval Die was used to cut the skating pond and the Sentiment Strips Dies were used for the sentiment panels. The scene was matted with the Slimline Scalloped Rectangles Dies; the card base was cut with the Slimline Card Base Die.
My third sample features the new Mandala Layering Combo Dies, along with the following items: Stoneware Paper Pad, Circles Mixed Media Stencil (dry embossed), Pierced Circles Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, Deco Border Die, Inspiration Words Dies, Matting Rectangle, and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies.  For the center of the mandala, I used the smallest Circle Die (with the Stoneware paper) and the smallest Pierced Circle Die to create a decorative piece.  The top mandala layer was cut from black mirror paper which gives it a nice finished look.
