It's Raining Daisies!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Ways To Use It theme over at Splitcoast is "Don't Fence Me In"......my card features one of my all-time favorite dies from Divinity Designs LLC, the Fence Die. This was a pretty simple and quick card to make.....no stamping, just a few die cuts and designer paper.  Here are the items used:  Gardening Gnomes Paper/Die Duos and the following dies: Fence, Clouds and Raindrops, Grass Lawn, Inspiration Words, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer. Yellow baker's twine was used to coordinate with the daisies.

Happy Birthday Tool Box

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme is all about pockets....not sure if this is exactly what they had in mind, but I did create a pocket in which to add the tools! This card is for my co-worker's wife, who is a DIY nut! She's proud of having her own tools and a tool belt, so he asked for a girly tool card for her! The card was cut the old-fashioned way, with a paper cutter (no die!), then an oval die cut out the 'handle'. Both the card base and front panel were swiped with an ink pad for the 'Faux Wood' look. Thin foam tape was added around the edges of the front panel, then the tools were tucked into the pocket.  Her initials were added to the front using the same silver metallic, orchid, and lavender colors as the tool handles. Here are the dies from Divinity Designs LLC which were used for this: Alphabet Caps, Ovals, Tool Time, Workshop Tools; blending brushes were used for stenciling the dies after embossing them.

Lovely Day Balloon Shaker

Hi everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge is to use balloons on your project. My card today is a colorful slimline design with three balloon shakers. Stazon Jet Black ink was used to stamp the sentiment from 'Let's Celebrate' onto an acetate sheet before assembling the center shaker. Here are the items from Divinity Designs LLC used to create this: Pierced Balloon Shakers Dies, Slimline Card Base Die, Slimline Rectangles Dies, Geometric Paper Pad Slimline, Foam Mounting Tape, and sequins.  Baker's twine was glued to the card at the end.

Hee Haw, It's Your Birthday!

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is focused on Leap Day....anything that leaps. I needed a couple of boy birthday cards, so I used this fun set, Darling Donkeys, from Stampin Up. The scene was sponged over scratch paper and the images were colored with markers. The clouds on one of the cards were sponged over a stencil made with the Clouds and Raindrops Dies by Divinity Designs LLC; the other just has random sponging. The cards are mostly the same, other than the color of linen thread used at the top.

Simply Amazing Sunset

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to incorporate elements using the letters L-O-V-E. For my card, L is for lavender sky, O is for ocean, V is vacation, and E is for evening. Time has been very limited for me due to daily overtime at work, so I have been creating a lot of cards from my recycled wall calendars. This card, from start to finish, only took 15 minutes. The sentiment is from Altenew and the following dies from Divinity Designs LLC were used: Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer.  Some gems were added as a finishing touch.

A Light for My Path

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'Lights'. I needed a couple of masculine birthday cards, so I made them the same but with different colors.  The lanterns were cut out first, then placed in my MISTI over the white panel to find the correct placement for the scripture verse.  Once the panels were stamped, they were put back into the Pierced Rectangles Die and colored with Blending Brushes.  The flames were sponged using stencils created with the lantern die set. Here are the items from Divinity Designs LLC used for these cards: 'My Light' stamp set, Blending Brushes, Pierced Rectangles Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Die, and the Shining Light Lantern Die Set.

Fall Birthday

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'Fall Leaves'. My Mother-In-Law requested that her birthday card had fall colors and falling leaves, so I used another pattern from the Stained Glass Pumpkins Square Card Fronts paper pack from Divinity Designs LLC. I used Rose Gold and Light Blue Foil Cardstock to soften up the dark colors in the image panel. This was a very simple design....a few die cuts, some Foam Mounting Tape, and it was finished! The dies used are: Ornamental Square Die Set, Square Card Base with Layer, and Happy Birthday and Layers.

The Good Book

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'Book Club'....anything book related. When I create cards for my family, I always ask if they have a request for theme, colors, etc. My brother-in-law is a pastor; he immediately asked for a 'King James Bible' card.  I dug through some old tax boxes to find a yearly planner book and tore off the cover since it had the perfect texture to look like a Bible cover!  The rectangles and cross dies are from Divinity Designs LLC and the letter dies are from Top Dog Dies.  The tassel was made from gold cording....it matches the gold foil cardstock  in the real, but not in the photo, unfortunately. On the inside a scripture verse stamp and birthday greeting were used.

God's Glory

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge is all about The Wild West. I only had time for a quick CAS card, so I used the image from the 'Howdy' stamp set and the sentiment from the 'Happy Trails' set.  The stamping was done in Stazon Jet Black, then Blending Brushes were used for the background. This will be easy to mail for my brother's birthday.

Sparkly Butterfly Birthday

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to share your projects featuring Stickles, Nuvo Drops, or some type of accent ink. For my card today, I added Stickles to the butterfly and flowers. This is a birthday card for one of my nieces....most little girls love glitter, right? For my card, I used the following items from Divinity Designs LLC: Better Place Stamp/Die Duos set, one die from the Butterfly Trio Dies set, Foam Mounting Tape, Gemstones, and the following dies: Petal Square Background Die, Scalloped Circles, Squares, Square Card Base with Layer.  To save paper, the sentiment was stamped onto the square piece of designer paper, then the center was cut out to layer on the top.  The square panel of dsp was rotated so that the colors were opposite from the sentiment panel.

Refuge and Strength

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge is to create a Get Well card. For my card, I dug into my sacred stash of Almost Amethyst cardstock which has been retired for many years and has always been my favorite. It matched so well with this pretty designer paper, 'Peaceful Petals' from Divinity Designs LLC.  The scripture verse is from 'God Quotes 3' and I used the following dies: Large Banners, Bitty Blossoms, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.  Baker's Twine, Rhinestones, and Foam Mounting Tape were also used.

Beach-y Blessings

Hi, everyone!  This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'To The Beach'.  Today I am sharing three Mother's Day cards from last year which I did not get around to posting anywhere.  Each of the three use the same products from Divinity Designs LLC: Sunset Skies Slimline Paper Pad, Long and Lean Letters Dies, Bold Blessings Stamp/Die Duos, A2 Thin Pierced Frame Die, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies, Foam Mounting Tape. The letters were cut from the designer paper, layered onto cardstock, then popped up with foam tape.  This is a type of eclipse technique but with only two layers.
