Hello Sunshine!

Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Bermuda Bay with the dessert option of using two extra colors. For my card, I created a panel using the 'Wrinkle Free Distress' Technique with four different shades of aqua.  I used some fun dies from My Favorite Things to cut away from the blue panel and show the coral panel beneath.  A glitter pen was used to highlight the sun and letters plus some gems were added.  The panels were cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies and Matting Rectangle Die from Divinity Designs LLC.

I Smell Old People!

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create something funny, punny, or silly. This card is for a co-worker who has a fantastic sense of humor and a laugh that carries through our whole building! This is a hodge-podge of companies: the designer paper is from Stampin Up, the sentiment is from My Favorite Things and the following dies are from Divinity Designs LLC: Large Numbers, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer, Mini Slimline Tri-Shutter (sentiment panels).

YOUnicorn

Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast was perfect for creating a birthday card for my niece. The stamps and dies are from My Favorite Things. The image was colored with markers and then highlighted with a glitter pen, though the glitter did not show up in the photos. I used thin foam tape and sequin stickers so that it wouldn't cost more to mail.

Be The Person Your Dog Thinks You Are

Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a card which I personalized for my nephew's birthday. I will be submitting this for the 2023 "Card Design Superstar: Clean and Simple Genius" Challenge over at My Favorite Things. My nephew's pup is a Spanish Waterdog, with curly fur, so I water-colored tiny circles with caramel ink onto the image from the 'You Make My Tail Wag' set.  I chose a lime green card base instead of plain ole white and chose a fun plaid pattern from an MFT paper pad on which to stamp the doggie bed.  My MISTI was used to center and line up the sentiment stamp.

TV Time wiht You

Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from 'The Classy Home'. This fun sofa reminded me of some stamps and dies I purchased several months ago from My Favorite Things. This card is for my hubby since our favorite 'quality time' is spent watching our weekly shows on the DVR. The card base and layers were cut with the following dies from Divinity Designs LLC: Mini Slimline Card Base, Mini Slimline Rectangles, Mini Slimline Layering Rectangles.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is a tribute to Neil Armstrong's walk on the moon....incorporate either the moon or footsteps on your project.  My card is for my little niece who just turned one.  I love this adorable set from My Favorite Things, "Number Fun - 1".  The image and sentiment were stamped onto a white card base using my MISTI.  Using masking and reverse masking, the scene was colored with sponges for a softer look. Some pink gingham ribbon was added to coordinate with the pink "blankie".

Hooray, You're Two!

Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler, and Old Olive. I needed a quick card to put in the mail this morning and these colors were perfect. The stamps are from 'Number Fun 2' from My Favorite Things. The image and sentiment was stamped on plain white cardstock, then water-colored. In hindsight I should have used watercolor paper but didn't have time to start over.

Hoppy Birthday x 2

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Marlease aka Lease.....congrats, Marlease!!  I loved this pair of guy cards she created with a whiskey set....I didn't have any whiskey stamps, so I created two cards with the 'Here's To You' stamp set and 'Frosty Beer Mug' Die-namics from MFT.  The first card is fairly simple and flat for mailing.  The kraft card base was stenciled with the Small Brick Wall Stencil, plus the edges of the card were sponged.  The beer mug was cut from white vellum, the beer insert was copper metallic and the foam was cut from Shimmery White.  The pieces of the beer mug were turned into stickers with my Xyron Sticker Maker.  The sentiment was placed in my MISTI and stamped several times to make sure the ink coverage was complete.

The 2nd card will not be mailed, so I used the mug die to cut a foam sheet then adhered the layers to it. Instead of stenciling the whole card, a small piece of ivory cardstock was stenciled, cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies from Divinity Designs LLC, and the beer is sitting on a small navy blue panel cut with the Sentiment Strips Dies.  The edges of the card were sponged to give some extra dimension. The MISTI was used with navy ink for stamping the sentiment.

Another Recycled Calendar Card

Hi, everyone!  Today I would like to share a quick card created for the Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast.  I used a page from last year's sunset calendar for this card.  The scene was cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die from Divinity Designs LLC, a section was cut out of the center at an angle according to the Sketch Challenge layout, then matted onto a panel cut with the Matting Rectangle.  The sentiment is from MFT; my MISTI was used to line up the stamp and to make sure the inking of the stamp was complete. Brass brads were added before adhering to the card panel.

Beautiful Bunny

Hi, everyone!  My clean and simple card today was created for both the Color Challenge (Poppy Parade, Pool Party, and Crumb Cake) and the Ways To Use It 'Bunny' Challenge over at Splitcoast this week.  The stamps and dies used are from My Favorite Things. The images were stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto watercolor paper, then cut out with coordinating dies.  The bunny and tire were water-colored and the flowers and butterfly were colored with markers.

Happy Third Birthday!

Hi, everyone!  Today is '123' day (January 23rd), so today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to include numbers in your CAS cards.  My card today is for one of my little nieces.  I used one of the Number Fun sets from MFT, colored with markers and water-coloring.  A few clouds were cut out and added for balance.  The scene was cut out with Double Stitched Squares Dies and Squares Dies from Divinity Designs LLC.

Tropical Sunset

Hi, everyone!  Right now it's a whole 3 degrees outside, so I'm going tropical!  This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Puzzle Warehouse.....this gorgeous tropical scene reminded me of last year's wall calendar which I disassembled for re-purposing into cards. In order to capture the full scene, I had to make it slimline sized. The dies I used are from Divinity Designs LLC: Slimline Pierced Rectangles, Slimline Card Base, and Sentiment Strips.  The sentiment is from MFT.

Happy Beer Day!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Heather aka Gadabout.....congrats, Heather!  This super cute guy card inspired me to use some MFT products I picked up months ago, 'Frosty Beer Mug' Die-namics, 'Here's to You' stamps, and 'Small Brick Wall' Stencil.  The beer mug was cut twice from vellum and embossed with a stylus; the insert piece is also vellum, sponged with mustard ink to look like beer.  The foam on top was cut out of shimmery white.  The background was stenciled and the 'countertop' is a piece of dsp from the Divinity Designs LLC 'Weathered Wood' Paper Pad.  These items are also from Divinity Designs LLC: Blending Brushes, Foam Mounting Tape, Dies: Large Banners, Pierced Frame, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.  The brick panel was placed in my Misti, both to line up the sentiment and to get a solid inked image by stamping multiple times with navy ink.

Oceans of Love

Hi, everyone!  Today I would like to share a fun card created for one of my niece's birthday.  I used the MFT Sketch Challenge for the layout, along with an MFT stamp set, 'Oceans of Love'.  The images and sentiment were stamped onto watercolor paper with Stazon Jet Black, cut out with the coordinating dies, then watercolored. The background panel was spritzed with olive and turquoise Glimmer Mist; the images were 'painted' with Pearl Glimmer Mist at the last.  The sentiment was cut out with the Sentiment Strips 2 Dies by Divinity Designs LLC; the background panel was cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, framed with the Matting Rectangle; the card was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies.

Happy 30th Anniversary!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Karen aka ksenzak1....congrats, Karen!!  I chose this adorable cas card for inspiration today.  Tomorrow is Anniversary number 30 for hubby and I, so I created this card for him using the 'Wish You Were Hare' set by My Favorite Things.  He knows how busy I am since I work full time plus design for Divinity Designs, so he doesn't want me to spend a lot of time on cards for him. This set was perfect for a one layer card.  The image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black; the ears and nose were colored with a pink marker; a clear glaze pen coated the pink plus any of the spaces I wanted to stay white; lastly, the scene and image were colored with blending brushes and sponges using masking, reverse masking, and stenciling.  Cutting several masks took a little while, but I love how it turned out.  Since I don't have Copics, this is my fave way to color to achieve a smooth look.  I used a journaling pen to add the 30 to the heart.  The colors I used in my card are from the MFT Color Challenge, so I will be submitting to this as well.
