I (Heart) You

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Angela Bode aka ohmypaper!.....congrats, Angie!!!  After cruising every page of her immense gallery, I finally settled on this adorable CAS card.  Not only do I love the clean layout, but the offset ovals were very interesting to me and I loved the added hearts, especially for a sentiment.  For my card, I am using the 'Somebunny' Stamp/Die Duos set from Divinity Designs LLC.  I will tuck this card away for a few months and give it to my hubs for our anniversary.  Also used for this card were the Layering Hearts Dies, Sentiment Strips Dies, Clouds and Raindrops Dies (tiny hearts), and Ovals Dies.  The adorable bunny image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then water-colored. The background scene was sponged over die cut templates cut with the Clouds and Raindrops Dies and Grass Lawn Die.

Butterfly Trio

Ferris Wheels and Carousels Butterfly Dish
Hi, everyone!  This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Ferris Wheels and Carousels.  I fell in love with this butterfly dish and decided to make a clean and simple card with it in mind.  Unfortunately, the butterfly stamps and matching dies I used are now retired from Divinity Designs LLC, but I still love to use them for my personal birthday list.  The butterflies were heat embossed with black and cut out; the outside edges and any sections which were to stay white were coated with a clear glaze pen. On the large butterfly, the yellow sections were colored with a marker, then coated with the clear glaze pen as well.  The reason for using the glaze pen is so that it acts as a resist since I wanted to sponge various colors on the butterflies for a smooth and gradient look.  Once the sponging was finished, I used a dry rag to buff the ink from the glazed areas.  The sentiment is from the 'Today and Everyday' stamp set which is still available from Divinity Designs LLC.  I liked the clean look so I didn't add any splatters or stenciling.

EDITED TO ADD: The retired butterfly stamp set is called 'Trois Jolies Papillons' and the custom dies are 'Tres Papillons Dies'.

My first card was super fun and easy to make!  The card base was cut out of kraft cardstock with the Triple Step with Layers Dies set.  The layers were cut from one of the floral/flourish-y pattern from the new Sweet Hearts Collection Paper Pad.  The adorable image and fun sentiments are from the 'Fur-ever Friends' Stamp/Die Duos set.  Also used were the Mini Tags Dies set, Sentiment Strips Dies, Letter Board Dies, and the Clouds and Raindrops Dies set (tiny hearts).  The image was watercolored and popped up with foam tape.

Birthday Wishes

Murale Design Vector Flower Pattern
Hi, everyone!  This week' Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Murale Design....it didn't take long to find many photos which inspired me, but I chose this awesome flower burst pattern with gorgeous colors.  For my card, I used the Flower Burst Stencil and Big Birthday Bolds stamp set, both from Divinity Designs LLC.  I love how quick and easy this card was to make!!  I cut a panel with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, stenciled three colors of aqua over the stencil, stamped the greeting, matted the panel in black, then added three black pearls to finish.

Top Ten Faves from 2019

Happy New Year, everyone!  I pray a wonderfully blessed year ahead for all of you!!

Looking back on 2019, there were quite a few cards/projects which I created which I would like to share again with you.  Last summer I was honored to be chosen for the Dirty Dozen group at Splitcoast Stampers....my term lasted six months and none of those projects were published here since the Dirty Dozen gallery each month is prepared for Fan Club members only.  I will be showing those creations here a little at a time throughout this next year.  Just wanted to give you a tease about that....but for now, here are my fave ten from those that were published here and in my galleries.
