Hi, everyone! This is a super quick card I made for this week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast. This is not a normal card for me.....no paper piercing and no foam tape.....eek!!!! I wanted to show how easy it is to create a card simply by using ODBD stamps along with their new beautiful designer paper, the "ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2013". Don't let the name fool you.....these gorgeous patterns can be used for many different projects.....as a matter of fact, I used the green gingham for a Thanksgiving card a couple of days ago! Anyhoo.....I'm also using some brand new stamps too.....the sentiment panel and card base were both stamped by the "Vintage Pattern Mini 1" background stamp and the scripture verse is from "Earth Verses".....these will be available on Friday, November 1st.
I will also be submitting this card to this week's ODBD Shining the Light "No Ribbons or Lace" Challenge. Baker's twine was fair game....yay!!!
Thanks for stopping by!

What a Wonderful World!
Hello!! Sadly, this is my last week as guest designer for the Color Challenge over at Splitcoast. This week's colors are Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, and Baked Brown Sugar, with the "dessert" option is to use triangles. This is my first sneak peek for the November sets by Our Daily Bread designs. The background on the right triangle section of my card was stamped with one of two new background stamps, "Vintage Pattern Mini 1". The earth image and sentiment are from "The Earth". The designer paper is My Mind's Eye.....it had all of the right colors for the challenge, so I cut it to size, then cut it diagonally, sponged the edges, stamped the right side piece, then adhered them to the mat. The earth image was colored directly with markers in Wasabi and light blue for the water, stamped on vanilla cardstock, then sponged with Brown Sugar and Melon Mambo on the edges to blend. The earth was cut out with the "ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Die Set" and was framed with SB Fleur De Lis Squares.

Clean and Simple "Happy Thanksgiving"
Hi, everyone! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Tearing and/or Distressing on your CAS card. I chose to use sponging/ink distressing on the edges.
This is a clean and simple card which I made in under an hour, which is fast for me! The SU Barely Banana cardstock was embossed with an SU embossing folder, edges sponged in Early Espresso, layered on a white mat, and popped up over a Cajun Craze card. The leaves and sentiment are both from a yard sale and are not marked with a company name....so sorry! The gingham ribbon is from Michael's.
Thanks for visiting today! Stay tuned tomorrow.....I will have a sneak peek of the November sets by Our Daily Bread designs!!

Fall Flower Pumpkin
Hi, everyone! Happy Saturday....woo hoo!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find a photo from South House Designs for inspiration for your project. The orange bridesmaid dresses at this Farmers Market Wedding really knocked me out......I had never seen a wedding with these colors before!!! I used the green gingham pattern from the new Our Daily Bread designs "Christmas Paper Collection 2013" 6x6 pack since it had a country feel to it, plus the "Fall Flower Pumpkin" and custom "Pumpkin and Flowers Die" to cut it out. The sentiment is from "Thankful Song".
I have also submitted this to the ODBD Shining the Light "Fall" Challenge for this week.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!!

Have a Happy Day!
Hello! This week's Color Challenge #449 over at Splitcoast is to use Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, and Sahara Sand, plus the "dessert option" is to use distressing on your card. Though using my distressing tool gives me the "heebie jeebies", I was able to do some tearing and rough up the edges a little without cringing too much! :) The little flower flourish and sentiment are from the "Be Joyful" set by Our Daily Bread designs. After stamping the flowers multiple times, they were colored with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive markers. The flower centers were then colored with a white chalk pen first and a glitter pen at the last.
Before I go, I would like to remind you that Our Daily Bread designs has another fabulous sale going on this week......check out the select items (and card samples) HERE!

Soccer Frog Birthday!
Hello!!! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the sweet and talented Marie Alice aka ladybug91743.....congrats, Marie Alice!!! There is such a wide variety of projects and styles in her amazing gallery, but I really love all of her stamped scenes, so I chose this adorable card to re-create. I kept the frog theme, except my version is for a boy birthday card. This is for my nephew who loves to play soccer.
Thanks for visiting!

Heartfelt Blessings
Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Summer Starfruit, So Saffron, and Soft Sky. I do not have Soft Sky, so I used Bashful Blue instead. When I first saw this challenge, I was stumped.....thank goodness the Summer Starfruit can work as a green or as a yellow! I used the Hyacinth set by Our Daily Bread designs....the stamp outline was trimmed by hand and the mat was cut with the coordinating Spellbinders Labels 26 set. The ODBD Fence Die was added just because I love it so much and use it any time I can!! :)

Rustic Moose Birthday
Hi, everyone! This week's Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast is Pat aka imastamper.....congrats, Pat! I chose this wonderful monochromatic card to re-create.....half way through the card, I remembered that my nephew's fave color is red, so I threw a bit of red in there with the brown tones. Instead of rectangle panels, I used Spellbinders Labels 8 dies. The moose image is from "Father's Day", the sentiment is from "Little Boys", and the card base and red panel were stamped with the "Wood Background", all from Our Daily Bread designs.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a very blessed weekend!!

"Sing For Joy" Birthday Cardinal
Hello! This week's Color Challenge #447 over at Splitcoast is to use Real Red, Chocolate Chip, and Bermuda Bay with the "dessert option" of at least one cutting die! I love this color combo.....perfect for a masculine card!!! I chose to use a verse from "Scripture Series 2", the "Sing For Joy" set by Our Daily Bread designs, along with the custom "Cardinal Die".....no more fussy cutting for this image....yay!!! I have also incorporated this week's Featured Stamper challenge.....congrats to Darlene DeVries aka darlenedesign!! I loved the layout and shaped die of this beautiful card, so I used the basic design for this masculine birthday card. A bonus I received by choosing this card is that Darlene created a tutorial on how to blend Stampin Up markers to look like Copics.....check out her video HERE.....very cool!!!

For my first sample, I have used the "Thankful Song" set, along with the "Wood Background" and "ODBD Elegant Ovals" Die Set. This will be a birthday card for my husband for next month....good thing he doesn't read my blog! :)
My second sample features the "Fall flower Pumpkin" stamp and coordinating "ODBD Custom Pumpkin and Flowers Die". To create the shaped card, a pumpkin colored card was scored, stamped, then cut out with the die. The image was then stamped on white, cut out with the die, then fussy cut around the bottom edge and paper pieced on top of the cut card. To see how to create a shaped card, see the tutorial HERE.
In case you missed them, here are some "Sneak Peek" projects from the past few days which also feature the new sets:
When you're finished "hopping", head over to Our Daily Bread designs and pick up one of many discounted bundles available. There is also a special sale going on this week.....check out the sale items HERE!
