Divinity Designs LLC September New Release
Hi, everyone!
It's time for another new release from Divinity Designs LLC!! This month's release theme is autumn, harvest, and Thanksgiving!! I am so excited about all of these new products!! To see the entire new release, click HERE or Instagram HERE.
Below are all of the new goodies featured in my samples for today:
My first card was a blast to create.....it features the Thanksgiving Gnomes Paper/Die Duos set, sentiments from the Happy Fall Stamp/Die Duos set, and the following dies: Accordion Fold With Layers, Accordion Fold Add-On, Farm Fence, Slimline Grasses, Slimline Rainbow and Clouds, A2 Rainbow and Clouds. Blending Brushes were used to add color to the cloud edges and Foam Mounting Tape was used to pop up some of the elements.
My next card is a shaker card, featuring the Thanksgiving Gnomes Paper/Die Duos set, a sentiment from Happy Fall Stamp/Die Duos, and the following dies: Quilted Tile Background, Matting Rectangle, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer, Double Stitched Pennant Flags, and Double Stitched Ovals. The shaker panel is a repurposed acrylic stamp sheet from one of the stamp set; Foam Mounting Tape was used to pop up the layer and white and orange sequins were added to coordinate with the fall colors.
My fourth card features the Bountiful Blessings Stamp/Die Duos set, the Autumn Slimline Paper Pad, and the following dies: Quilted Tile Background, Double Stitched Rectangles, Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer, and Fancy Flourish. The images were stamped with Stazon Jet Black, water-colored, then popped up with Foam Mounting Tape. The sentiment panel was highlighted with a Blending Brush.

Divinity Designs LLC September New Release
Here are the items featured in my samples for today:
My first card features the 'Rooted in Christ' stamp set, along with the following items: 'He Shall Be Called' Background stamp, Pennant Flags Dies, Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set. For my card design, I began by stamping the tree image in Stazon Jet Black, colored the image with markers, then clear-coated everything with a clear glaze pen (as a resist). The background was sponged, then the tree was masked with scratch paper. The 'He Shall Be Called' stamp was inked with craft ink, then stamped over the entire panel. The panel was cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, then the edges were sponged with craft. Antique brass brads. linen thread, and the sentiment panel were added for finishing touches. I am so excited that for once the vision in my head was transferred to paper just like I wanted!!!
My second card reminds me of the area in which I am so blessed to live....open farm fields, blue skies, vintage trucks, etc. I used the awesome new Slimline Pierced Frame Die with a gorgeous leaf pattern from the Festive Fall Slimline Paper Pad. The images and sentiment are from the 'Loads of Love' Stamp/Die Duos set. The other dies used to create this scene are as follows: Slimline Grasses, Slimline Curvy Slopes, Slimline Clouds, Treat Tags, Double Stitched Pennant Flags, and the Slimline Card Base.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!

Grateful
Now, on to today's card. You all know that I am obsessed with alcohol inks. I created an AI panel on Yupo paper, using red, orange, a bit of green, and gold mixative, then die cut the leaves with the Divinity Designs Custom Stitched Leaves Dies (retired) and edged each with a gold marker. The sentiment from 'Hello Friend Stamp/Die Duos' was gold embossed then cut out with the Double Stitched Ovals Dies. The background panel was stamped with the Wood Background then cut out with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. Gold cord and gold sequins tied everything together.

Thanksgiving Quilt Card plus Two Tutorials
First, cut a cardstock panel just a smidge smaller than the die cut frame of whichever quilt die you are using. Run it through a Xyron Sticker Maker machine. (Note: I usually use the same color paper as the quilt frame but for this tutorial, I used white so that it's more visible for photos.) If you don't have a sticker maker, you could use your snail adhesive but make sure you cover the entire surface so that none of your die cut pieces fall out later.
Once your sticker is made, peel off the backing and adhere the quilt frame to the panel.
Lay out all of the coordinating die cut pieces of the chosen patterns or colors so that it's easy to locate and insert the pieces. Make sure you have a good fit before pressing each piece onto the sticker background. Tip: When using multiple colors to fill in your quilt, try to use the same order all the way around the quilt and pay attention to the pattern so that you don't have two of the same colors next to each other.
Once the quilt is complete, press down on the frame and pieces to make sure they are all adhered well. Now it's time to decorate!
For my card sample, I have used the 'A-Maize-Ing' stamp set and ODBD Custom Indian Corn Die. I wanted to used a stitched die for the sentiment to coordinate with the quilt die, but I didn't have the right size.......so......I used the die-resizing technique to create the perfect die cut. Here is how you can make any size panel you want:
I stamped my sentiment first, then lined up the die from the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies on one side of the sentiment. Removable scotch tape was used to hold the die in place then ran through my die cut machine. The panel was removed from the die, then lined up on the other end and taped down. (Note: if using pierced or stitched dies, make sure that the holes or the stitches line up or your finished die cut will look messy.) *****Important: when making your second cut, you only want to cut just the edge, so roll the plate just a bit and then reverse so that only the end of the panel cuts. You may emboss these types of cuts as well, just place the embossing mat and plate over half of the panel at a time.
Here is my finished card:
