Happy Saturday, everyone! It's a snowy day here in Indiana, so I'll be stamping the day away!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is all about 'inchies'.....I chose this beautiful stitched art from the Pinterest board provided. The card design is based on this lovely card from this week's Queen For the Day......big congrats to Kecia aka LittleSeaOtter!!! To match my inspiration piece, I stamped the 'Wildflower Silhouette Background' in green, punched out the flowers I wanted to showcase with a square punch, sponged in banana then kraft on the edges, matted in white and green, then added liquid pearls. The background was stamped in Versamark with the 'Honeycomb Background' and the sentiment is from 'Life is a Gift'.....all of the stamps I used are from Our Daily Bread designs.
Thanks for visiting!
Have a safe and blessed weekend!!

Celebrating You, Tenia!!!!!
Happy Saturday, everyone!!! This week's Queen for the Day is the jazzy and fabulous Tenia Sanders-Nelson.....congrats, Tenia!!!!! Tenia has the most fun and creative style!!! Check out her blog here! It is an absolute honor to help Tenia to celebrate this week!!! I chose this awesome card to case because I loved the cool layout. I did a masculine version, to create a birthday card for a friend, and I did not do the "off the page" technique since I wanted it to fit inside a normal envelope. Today's Inspiration Challenge helped me with the color scheme...I chose these olive soaps....I loved the blue and gray colors and texture of the natural ribbon! Once I got to my stamp room, I realized that I couldn't match the colors exactly, but did the best I could. I started with Naturals White cardstock, designer paper with smoky blues, and cotton ribbon which I trimmed down the center to create a smaller edging. The stamps are from North Coast Creations, called 'King of the Road' and the designer paper is from Our Daily Bread designs, the 'Blooming Garden Collection'.

Copper Embossed Leaves
Happy Saturday, everyone!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast will definitely make you hungry.....we are to find inspiration from the Harry and David site.....yummy!!!! I fell in love with this harvest cookie bouquet and had to make a Thanksgiving card! My card's layout comes from this beautiful card by Dianne aka Sarahebo, who was just dubbed Queen for the Day....congrats, Dianne!!! For my card, I used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: leaves and acorns from the Autumn Blessings set, cut out with the ODBD Custom Fall Leaves and Acorn Dies, the Leaves Background stamp, and sentiment from Serve The Lord (retired). The images, background, and sentiment were all embossed in copper, then colored with sponge daubers in inks which matched the inspiration piece.

Shimmery Sand Dollar
Happy Saturday!!! My fave stampy time of the week!! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Audrie's 'Writer's Passion' Pinterest Board. Since I do not wish to sign up for a Pinterest account, I was only able to see a few photos, but fell in love with the colors of this beautiful fountain pen. The layout of this card comes from this gorgeous card by #Francine, this week's Queen For The Day....congrats, Francine!!! The sand dollar image from 'Ocean Treasures' was heat embossed with silver, popped up with foam tape, then painted with Glimmer Mist, a combination of Patina Blue, Pearl and Silver.
Here is a close up view which shows the Glimmer Mist shimmer!
Thanks so much for visiting!!

Inspired Birthday Doily
Hi, everyone!! It's the weekend.....woo hoo!!! Today I would like to share a birthday card created for my niece, using two challenges from Splitcoast. Today's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from one of the photos from the {more} Sprinkled Joy Etsy store, ......I loved the fresh colors of these straws. The card design was inspired from this week's Queen for the Day, TrishG.....I fell in love with this gorgeous card and had to try my hand at recreating it! I used the Birthday Doily set (inked the stamp with markers, then spritzed before stamping) and Gingham Background, both from Our Daily Bread designs.

Hi, everyone!! Today is the first day for sneak peeks of the September 1st new releases from Our Daily Bread designs.....woo hoo!!!! The scripture is from 'Doily Blessings', the designer paper is from the ODBD 'Blushing Rose Collection', and the ivory seam binding bow was tied with a Bow Easy. The general card design was based on this shaped card by Jenn Cochran, who is this week's Queen for the Day, along with our new QFTD hostess......congrats on both accounts!!!

Three Challenge Combo Cards!
Happy Saturday, everyone!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Leif Shop......I loved the colors of this phone case. The background of my card was stamped with the smaller floral image from the ODBD Be Joyful set, then colored with markers. Seeing the phone case with the camera cut-out inspired me to have a cut out as well, so I used a circle die to cut out a section, then stamped the sentiment in the negative space. I have also incorporated the Friday Free4All Challenge, which was to use a stamp repeatedly to create a background.
My second card was a work in process all week.....each day before work I would spend a few minutes on it and finally got it finished....whew!! I combined the Color Challenge in which I chose Daffodil, Strawberry, and Olive (and the dessert option of 'summer', the Sketch Challenge, and the Ways To Use It Challenge which was to use dots. The strip of designer paper is from the ODBD 'Blooming Garden Collection' and the stamps are from the ODBD set, 'Zinnia'. The flowers were colored with sponge daubers in daffodil first, then strawberry in the centers. The flowers and leaves were cut with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die set.
My third card today I made for the Queen for the Day Challenge.....congrats to Dianne Beans aka sarahebo....woo hoo!!! I chose this adorable card to recreate using the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set, the Pennant Swag Alphabet stamp set, and a brand new embossing folder (from Darice). The single letters for "have" were stamped one at a time, then cut out with a word window punch; the "fun" letters were stamped then punched out with a star punch. Using a paper piercer, I made holes at the top of each pennant, then sewed baker's twine through them. The colors for this card were inspired from another piece from the Leif Shop, this tea towel.
Thanks for visiting with me today!!

It's Coming Up Roses!
Woo hoo, welcome to the weekend!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a photo from Country Curtains for your inspiration......I LOVE Country Curtains.....I have been a customer there for nearly 18 years! Browsing through their site, I fell in love with the yummy colors of this ensemble, so I used two patterns from the ODBD Blushing Rose Collection, the rose panel and the pre-printed sentiment panel which was cut out with the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Die Set. On each side of the rose panel are die cuts from the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die set. The card design comes from this beautiful card, created by this week's Queen for the Day, Katie Sims aka MattsGirl.....what a fabulous gallery!!

Tranquility of the Sea
Happy Friday!! Woo hoo, the weekend is almost here!!! Do you have any fun plans? If the humidity is low, I will definitely spend some time outside, but if not, my air-conditioned stamp room always welcomes me!!
Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create a project with a vacation theme.....I needed another masculine birthday card, so I chose to use the ocean image from "The Mighty Sea", a sentiment from the "Fishing" Mini-set and a new banner die from the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set.....all from Our Daily Bread designs. The card design is based on this gorgeous card from the immense gallery of Janine aka Jay_Bee, who was just dubbed Queen for the Day......congrats, Janine!!! Instead of designer paper, I chose to use burlap ribbon instead for more of a masculine look, plus it matches the linen thread which was wrapped around the banner tag. The scene was colored partly with markers and some sponging with ink pads and sponge daubers.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!!!
God bless!

Double Feature - Case x 2
Hi, everyone! Hope you all are having a fabulous holiday weekend!
Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Nancy Thomas aka nancyt.....congrats, Nancy!! I chose this wonderful card from her amazing gallery to recreate using some dies and stamps from Our Daily Bread designs. The boat was created out of three dies from the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set plus half of a punched circle. The sails were made by using the largest pennant die with white cardstock then cutting it in half. Instead of a rectangle for the sentiment panel like Nancy's card, I decided to use a banner from the Pennants Die Set along with a stamp from the Bookmarks-Verses set. The designer paper is from the ODBD Christian Faith Collection and the clouds in the center section were sponged over a scalloped circle.
My second card I made for the Queen for the Day Challenge, also at Splitcoast. This week's Queen is Marion Rivas aka mr33634....congrats, Marion!! I chose this beautiful CAS card to recreate. Instead of using an embossing folder, I used the ODBD Daisy Chain Background Die (sponged the centers in yellow and popped up the panel with foam tape); instead of hearts, I cut a flower using the ODBD Asters and Leaves Die Set; the sentiment panel was cut with the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set, stamped with a sentiment from the Ornate Borders Sentiments set, layered onto green ribbon.
Thanks for visiting!

Birthday Banner - ODBD Sneak Peek!
Hi, everyone!! It's Saturday morning.....my fave stampy time of the week!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose any photo from the TSB Men Fashion Blog.....I chose the first photo on this page for inspiration.....loved the two shades of blue paired with the green shoes. Definitely not my personal taste for clothes, but for stamping colors.....yes!! The card design comes from this beautiful card from ReginaBD's gallery...Regina was just dubbed Queen for the Day....congrats, Regina!!
Today begins Sneak Peeks for Our Daily Bread designs July release......I have used a new stamp set, "Pennant Swag 2" along with the "ODBD Custom Pennant Swag Die". I wanted to heat emboss the swags, but didn't have the right color of embossing powder, so I first inked the stamps with Versamark then inked with Brilliant Blue directly after, stamped, then covered in clear embossing powder and heated until set. The gift box and strips I cut with my paper cutter....the bow was cut from the Pennant Swag Die.
Thanks for stopping by!

Cherry Blossom Clouds
Happy Friday, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge at Splitcoast is to use clouds on your project....no problem!!! Also, this week's Queen for the Day is Meisu4.....congrats!!! I chose this beautiful card to case. Also this week is the Our Daily Bread designs "Shining the Light" one layer challenge....create a one layer card or card base plus one layer....I chose the latter. The image and scripture are from "Cherry Blossom", new this month from Our Daily Bread designs. The image was stamped several times, colored with sponges and markers, the clouds were sponged in aqua over a scalloped circle. Instead of my usual paper piercing, I sponged the edges and added three little pearls in the corner.
Oh, a here is a quick reminder: today is the last day for free shipping over at Our Daily Bread designs.....please visit the ODBD Store for details.

Queen for the Day x 2!
Hello again! This week's Queen for the Day is Barbara Joyce aka bejoyce....congrats, Barbara!!! I chose this gorgeous card to recreate from Barb's wonderful gallery. The image and sentiment are from a new set from Our Daily Bread designs, called "Rose Bouquet" and the ODBD Custom Decorative Vase Die is also new this month. The roses were stamped on ivory, fussy cut, then popped up under the vase which was cut from ivory and stenciled with pink. The border was punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
I'm a bit late, but wanted to celebrate last week's Queen for the Day as well......congrats to Nancy aka stiz2003!!! I chose this beautiful card for inspiration in making three Father's Day cards for tomorrow. I loved the cool artsy effect of the background and CAS design since I have to make three cards. The image and scripture verse from "Keep Climbing" by Our Daily Bread designs were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, sponged with mustard ink, then "sprinkled" with water droplets from a paintbrush.
Thanks again for visiting with me!!

Ladybug Birthday Card
Happy Friday!! Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use circles on your project. I made a super quick birthday card using the ladybug images from the "Zinnia" set by Our Daily Bread designs, cut out with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set. The sentiment is from the "Quote Collection 4" set, also by ODBD. The largest circles were stamped with the ODBD Gingham Background. The basic card design is based on this beautiful card by Diane aka fionna51 who is our brand new Queen for the Day.....congrats, Diane! I forgot to leave a space for some baker's twine, so I decided to leave it as is and not try to pry the circles back up....that never ends well for me! :)
Thanks for stopping by! Come back tomorrow for a sneak peek of the upcoming April sets by Our Daily Bread designs!!

My Peace I Give You
Hi, everyone! I normally do not stamp much during my work week, but needed a few minutes of stamp therapy after a rough day at work. Today's Color Challenge at Splitcoast plus our latest Queen for the Day Challenge.....(congrats to Lori McAree!!), both helped me to create this quick sympathy card which I need to mail to another friend this week. The colors of cantaloupe, pistachio, pool party, and black were part of a "choose at least 3" challenge and the design was based on this beautiful card from Lori's gallery. The main panel was dry embossed, matted in black, colored lightly with sponges, the verse from ODBD Scripture Collection 13 was stamped, then cut out with an oval die. The oval was adhered to the card base and the main panel was popped up with foam tape. The Hummingbird was stamped in black, then colored with cantaloupe, pistachio and pool party, and cut out with the ODBD Custom Hummingbird Die.
Thanks for visiting! Enjoy the rest of your week!!

Sweeter Than Honey
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to find an item from Packaging of the World as your inspiration. I loved this jar of honey with the honeycomb included, plus the tag with the cute little bee and dots which reminded me of paper piercing (my fave technique for cards!) I started by stamping the images from the "Sweeter Than Honey" set, colored with a marker and sponging, dotted the lid with a chalk marker, then used Glossy Accents to create the shine on the jar and the honey. The little bee from "Bee Happy" was stamped then cut out with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set. The card base was stamped with the Honeycomb Background and some piercing was added for a little extra somethin'! The card design comes from this beautiful card by Kim aka berlycece, who was just dubbed Queen for the Day....congrats, Kim!!!

Friends are Flowers
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge is to choose a photo from Audrie's "Rain Board" on Pinterest. I chose this photo of adorable cookies and used the pink and yellow colors along with the polka dot theme. This week's Queen for the Day is Penny aka Pawallen142......congrats, Penny!! I chose this beautiful card to re-create using the Zinnia set from Our Daily Bread designs, along with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die Set to cut out the flowers. The zinnias were clear embossed on white, sponged with yellow and pink, then liquid pearls was added to the centers.

Keep My Lamp Burning
Happy Saturday, everyone!! For my card today, I have combined a couple of challenges from Splitcoast this week. Firstly, congrats to the super sweet and uber talented Kathy LeDonne for being dubbed Queen for the Day.......I chose this beautiful card to recreate since I haven't used the "Keep My Lamp Burning" set for a long time and I loved her layout and ribbon across the bottom. Since I knew what stamp set I wanted to use, I then went to the Inspiration Challenge to find a great masculine color combo.....I chose this set of throws from West Elm which had a combination of blue, gray, and brown.....perfect!!! The lighthouse and scripture verse were stamped in Navy, the sky was sponged in light blue (and kraft around the edge) and the lighthouse was sponged in kraft to keep the neutral theme going. Kept it simple, added only paper piercing, ribbon, and one silver brad in the compass for embellishments.

Lattice Framed Quatrefoil Heart
Hi, everyone! It's another "snow day" for me, so instead of going to work this morning, I headed to my stamp room to finish this tribute to my dear sweet designer sister, Robin Clendinning aka stamperrobin, who was dubbed Queen For The Day over at Splitcoast Stampers......congrats, Robin!!!! Her gallery is full of amazing techniques and so many different styles....eye candy for everyone!!! I chose this gorgeous card as inspiration for my card. I originally planned to keep the all-white theme, but decided to mix in some pink since I will be sending it to Kelley for the ODBD show booth (she loves pink!!) For this card, I have used some new dies from Our Daily Bread designs. The frame was created by cutting out four lattice borders from the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die Set, stenciled each with pink ink, then a mitre cut was used on the corners in order to piece them together. The scalloped heart frame was cut out by combining the two largest dies from the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Die Set. The small pink heart in the center was cut by hand after tracing the outside edge of the die which cut out the flourish heart from the "Bless Your Heart" set. The Quatrefoil Pattern Die, cut in white, was trimmed to fit and adhered to the back of the scalloped heart frame and then popped up with foam tape for dimension.
I will also be submitting this for this week's ODBD Shining the Light 'L-O-V-E' Challenge....L = lattice border, O=Ornate Hearts,V=Valentine, E=embossed die cuts.
Thanks for stopping by today!

God's Blessings To You
Hello there! I am regrettably late in creating a card, but could not pass up the chance to celebrate a previously crowned Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast, one of my designer sistahs over at Our Daily Bread designs, Cheryl Scrivens aka CherylQuilts!!! Cheryl is one of the sweetest people I have ever met.....she has the biggest heart and it's made of gold! It was an absolute honor to case one of her beautiful cards! If you have not before, you have got to visit her Splitcoast gallery or ODBD gallery and check out her amazing God-given talents!!! I really loved the clean layout and punched border of this gorgeous card so I chose it for inspiration for a birthday card for a mentally disabled friend who's favorite color is orange (and she likes cats). The kitty image is from the ODBD set, Cat Sympathy, and the sentiment is from Mini Tags 3(retired). The grass was sponged over a piece of scratch paper and the clouds were sponged over a scalloped circle.
