Travel Themed Wedding

Hi, everyone! This week's Ways to Use It Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'Paris in the Spring'. I am cheating a bit since this card was previously created for my niece's travel themed wedding. Other than the gold pearl, gold foil cardstock, and Blackberry Bliss cardstock, all other product used was from Divinity Designs LLC. Designer Paper: Romantic Roses 6x6 Paper Pad; Stamps: Wedding Blessings (embossed in gold); Dies: Lavish Layers, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer, Bitty Blossoms, Gift Card Pockets and Layers (inside view); and Foam Mounting Tape

Happy Marriage Recipe

Hi, everyone!  Happy Friday!!  This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to 'Put A Heart On It'.  My card today was made for a bridal shower. (The stamps, designer paper, dies, and embossing folder are from Divinity Designs LLC.)  The 'Happy Marriage Recipe' stamp was placed in my MISTI and stamped several times to make sure all of the words had even ink coverage.  The designer paper is from the 'Wedding Flowers' Slimline Paper Pad; the recipe card was cut out with the Recipe Card Die, matted on gold metallic then fussy cut around the edge, then matted on pink and fussy cut again (since there are no layering dies.)  The ivory background panel was dry embossed with the Flourishes Embossing Folder, cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, matted with the Matting Rectangle in gold, and adhered to the card which was cut with the A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer Dies.  Satin pink ribbon and tiny gold hearts (cut with the Clouds and Raindrops Dies) were added for finishing touches.

Happy Wedding Day Gatefold

Hi, everyone!  I am in love with this month's release from Divinity Designs LLC!!  The floral patterns from the new 'Wedding Flowers' Paper Pad are sooooo gorgeous!!  I used my favorite pattern for this gatefold design.  This front view shows the card closed and wrapped with the Belly Band Dies, decorated with the Mr. and Mrs. with Layers Dies, Spiral Sphere Die, Fancy Flourish Die.  The card base and layers were cut out with the Gatefold Card with Layers Dies and the tiny hearts are from the Clouds and Raindrops Dies.

This is the inside view......more of the delish designer paper from the 'Wedding Flowers' Paper Pad, plus I added a gift card holder which was cut with the 'Gift Card Pockets and Layers' Dies; a sentiment from the 'Lovebirds' stamp set was added to the gift card layer.  More tiny hearts were added along with a flower and leaves cut from the Bitty Blossoms Dies.

Divinity Designs LLC April New Release!

Hi, everyone!  This month's new release from Divinity Designs LLC is all about LOVE!! Check out all of the new stamps, dies, paper, and many AMAZING samples HERE!

Below are the new items featured in my post today.  For previously released items, please click on the links in each paragraph.

My first card features the new 'Love Birds' stamp set (LOVE this set so much!),  along with the Gatefold Card with Layers Dies, Wedding Flowers Paper Pad, Pierced Wedding Ring Background Die, Belly Band Dies, Scalloped Circles Dies, Pierced Circles Dies, Circles Dies, Clouds and Raindrops Dies (tiny hearts), Scalloped Rectangles Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, and Blending Brushes.  The birds were stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto Watercolor paper; the images were water-colored and while the panel was still in the die, pink ink was brushed on to create a soft background.

For my next card, I used the Pierced Wedding Ring Background Die, Mr. and Mrs. with Layers Dies, Wedding Flowers Paper Pad, Layering Hearts Dies, Clouds and Raindrops Dies, Mini Stitched Shaker Charms Dies, Pixie Gems, Foam Mounting Tape, and Blending Brushes.  The inside panel below features the same pattern from the Wedding Flowers Paper Pad, the Faith Hope Love stamp, along with the Pierced Rectangles Dies and Matting Rectangle; the card was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies.

My third card features the Lovebirds set (this time colored accurately!), along with a fun tropical pattern from the Cool and Casual Paper Pad, and the following dies: Ferns, Scalloped Rectangles, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, Scalloped Circles, Pierced Circles, Circles, A2 Portrait Card Base with LayerBlending Brushes were used to color the sentiment panel and Foam Mounting Tape was used to give dimension to the image and sentiment panels.  The image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto watercolor paper; I looked at a photo while water-coloring the Lovebirds so that I could get the colors right! I LOVE how it turned out and may have to make another card for  myself!!! :)

Divinity Designs LLC February New Releases!

Hi, everyone!  Wow, January flew by and now it's time for another new release from Divinity Designs LLC!  To see the entire new release plus all of the amazing designer samples, please visit the Divinity Designs LLC Blog or find them on social media.

Here are the new products I have featured in my three project for today:

My first card is a slimline design using the new Slimline Rainbow and Clouds Dies set, along with the 'Rainbow of Hope' stamp set, Neighborhood Border Die, Slimline Scalloped Rectangles Dies, Slimline Rectangles Dies, Slimline Card Base, and Sentiment Strips 2 Dies.  The rainbow was cut from white cardstock, the center strips removed from the rainbow, the remaining frame was colored with markers, then turned into a shaker by adding a layer of acetate and tiny cut foam tape strips to pop it up.  All of the sequins are from Divinity Designs LLC as well.....find these and more HERE.  Layered on top of the rainbow is the neighborhood die, which I carefully lined up and cut twice since it is A2 sized. (The trick is to leave the end of the die outside of the cutting plate so you can hand trim carefully line up the die again to continue the scene with the next cut. I then cut the neighborhood from white and hand trimmed the houses to adhere to the green panel.

For my next card, I have used the fun 'Peek-A-Boo with Layers' Dies set, along with the Wedding Wishes Paper Pad, tiny hearts from the 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies, Bitty Borders Dies, and the 'Long Lasting Love' stamp set. The view from the front of the card shows the greeting which I created with three stamps from the set; open the card to see the hidden panel magically appear! (Next photo)
The wedding cake image slides into place when the card is opened.  Make sure you watch Lisa's video to see how easy this card is to make.  There are instructions printed within the die packaging as well.
My third card features the 'Rainbow of Hope' set, A2 Rainbow and Clouds Dies, along with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer Die, and Crystal Rhinestones.  The rainbow was cut from white cardstock, then adhered to another white panel to keep all of the pieces together.  After water-coloring the rainbow, it was popped up with foam tape,  The sentiment was white embossed onto the blue background then the crystal 'raindrops' and baker's twine were added.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  It's greatly appreciated!!

Love and Happiness

Hi, everyone!  One of my younger brothers got married on Saturday and this is the card I made for him and his new bride!  Their wedding colors were royal blue and lavender, so I used those colors for the card.  The floral image panel is just one of ten designs (4 of each design) from the ODBD 'God's Beauty' Coloring Pages set.  After water-coloring the flowers, the center of the coloring page was fussy-cut out to create an aperature.  The panel was popped up with foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment is from 'Wedding Blessings' and the royal blue panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies

Happily Ever After

Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Kelly Acheson aka Technique_Freak....congrats, Kelly!  I chose this gorgeous wedding card (the one on the left) to case today due to the clean layout and cool heart cut-out design.  For the top layer of my card, I chose a subtle pattern from the ODBD 'Wedding Wishes' Paper Collection, cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies and ODBD Custom Tulip Heart Die. The tiny heart was cut out with the ODBD Custom Layering Hearts Dies and the sentiment is from 'Long Lasting Love'.  The satin bow was tied using a Bow Easy. This was a very quick card to make....yay! I will also be submitting this card for this month's Fan Club theme of Sunrise/Sunset, for the 'new beginnings' angle.

Bride & Groom In CAS Style

Happy Saturday, everyone!  This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Audrie's Ongoing Inspiration Genius Awards Pinterest Board......I fell in love with this simple but elegant design with the curved edge and beautiful designer paper.  For my card, I chose a beautiful gray pattern from the ODBD Wedding Wishes Paper Collection and a sentiment from the 'Long Lasting Love' set.  When I chose this card, I didn't realized that the die I had planned to use from the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders Dies' had a curve which was opposite of my inspiration choice, so I cut the back side of the designer paper, re-pierced the tiny holes from the front and deepened the score lines so that the embossing from the die would be visible on the front side. The edges of the paper were lightly sponged with gray ink.  Instead of the two black pearls, I cut out two tiny gray hearts with the ODBD Custom 'Umbrellas Dies' set. Sheer gray ribbon was added...just because! :)

To Have and To Hold

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Nathalie Fournier aka Magouille...congrats, Nathalie!!!  I chose this beautiful card to recreate using the Long Lasting Love set by Our Daily Bread designs.  Instead of using an embossing folder for the background, I cut the irridescent peach panel using the ODBD Custom Scalloped Chain Die, but left all of the cut pieces intact.  Two little hearts cut with the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies and a tiny satin bow were added for simple embellishments.

May Your Love Grow

Hi, everyone!  This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to focus on backgrounds, whether it be designer paper, background technique, embossing folder, etc.  I chose to use some gorgeous new designer paper from the ODBD Wedding Wishes Paper Collection, along with an upcoming stamp set, called 'Happily Ever After'. The designer paper was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies and matted with the largest die from the ODBD Custom Snowflake Sky Dies.  It's crazy how quick and easy this card was to make.  One stamp, two dies, and designer paper....I will definitely make more like this!!

Love is Patient, Love is Kind

Hi, everyone!  This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Mandi Mance aka mandianna....congrats, Mandi!  I chose this beautiful card to recreate, but changed the butterflies to hearts. The three large hearts were cut from the ODBD Chalkboard Paper Collection using the ODBD Custom Mini Stitched Hearts Dies, The small heart was cut from black cardstock with the same die set.  The scripture verse is from the 'Birdhouse' set, also by Our Daily Bread designs.  I will also be submitting this to the DTGD16cathymacA challenge.

Inspired Wedding Cards

Happy 4th of July, everyone!!  This morning I made two cards for the Splitcoast Inspiration Challenge #500!!  This week's challenge is to find inspiration from the Green Wedding Shoes site......I loved this challenge so much that I made two cards!  My first card was inspired by this gorgeous bouquet.....loved all of the purple tones!  The wild rose image and quote from the ODBD set, 'Fragrance', and butterfly from 'Butterfly and Bugs' were embossed in gold on ivory cardstock; the flowers and butterfly were 'painted' with various shades of Glimmer Mist instead of inks....oh boy, how they shimmer in person!  The little tag, cut from the ODBD Custom 'Mini Tags' Dies frames a sentiment from 'Home Sweet Home', also embossed in gold.

My second card was inspired by this scrumptious wedding bouquet.  I used the same set, 'Fragrance', since it embosses so beautifully, but this time with white embossing powder.  Once again, I used Glimmer Mist for watercoloring.  Hind sight being 20/20, my camera would not pick up the white embossed quote on the ivory cardstock, so I sponged and pierced a circle around it to make it visible.  Not quite the card I had envisioned, but it was the easiest solution without creating another panel for the sentiment.

Just Married and Punny Notecards

Hello!!  With my two cards today, I have completed 46 of the 49 Dare to Get Dirty Challenges!  Tonight is the deadline....I hope to combine the last three when I get home from work today.

For my first card, I have used several items from Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Die Set, ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die set, Chalkboard Fan Background, and Wedding Blessings.  The hand-made flower was made with a Martha Stewart punch which had to be dusted off before using...eek!! I thought about making a bow with the black embroidered ribbon, but thought it might look too cluttered. I used every black, grey, and white button from my stash....looks like I need to go shopping...darn!! :)

ODBD Ornate Hearts Dies, ODBD Beautiful Borders Dies, Wedding Blessings, Chalkboard Fan Background, Card Designer Angie Crockett

Next up is a set of four notecards, with a belly band to hold them together.  Instead of sharing photos of all four of them, I cropped the four images and combined them into one.  Each one has some sort of bling, whether it be stickles, glitter pen, or pearls. The stamps I used for the sassy notecards are from 'Very Punny' and the sentiment on the belly band is from a hostess set, the name of which I forgot to write down.

Thanks so much for visiting!

God bless!
