Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a card created for two challenges over at MFT, the Color Challenge 206 and Sketch Challenge 633. This card began as a rare 'just for fun' card and had the card mostly completed when I got unfortunate news that I needed to send out a sympathy card for a friend. Instead of using a sentiment from the 'Spread Your Wings' set, I chose a more thoughtful sentiment from 'Essential Sentiments'. The butterflies were stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto ivory cardstock; a clear glaze pen was used as a resist, then the butterflies were sponged with the three colors for the challenge, then fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. The designer paper is also from MFT but is now retired. (I love getting good deals from the Clearance section!)

Cactus Fun
Hi, everyone!
Today I would like to share a fun card created for a co-worker's birthday. This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Urban Owl.....when I saw this cool cacti photo, it reminded me that I had not used my 'Let's Stick Together' stamp set from MFT in a while. The Color Challenge over at MFT was perfect for the images.....I hope the yellow background counts as a neutral! I stamped the pots onto the card first; I was going to mask them and stamp the cacti over them but instead I stamped extra pots to layer over the top. The pots were sponged with gray, fussy cut, and then coated with a clear gel pen. The cacti were colored with markers; the flowers were coated with a clear pen as well. The background was colored with a Blending Brush.

You're Purr-fect!
Hi, everyone!
Today I would like to share a birthday card created for my niece, using the My Favorite Things Color Challenge, along with Sketch Challenge #912 from Splitcoast. I combined the kitty image and sentiment from 'Housecats' with the Happy Birthday Circle Die and gingham paper which is now retired. The image was stamped on watercolor paper with Stazon Jet Black, water-colored, then fussy cut (since I forgot to order the dies). The following dies from Divinity Designs LLC were also used: Pierced Rectangles, Scalloped Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.

Happy 30th Anniversary!
Hi, everyone!
This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Karen aka ksenzak1....congrats, Karen!! I chose this adorable cas card for inspiration today. Tomorrow is Anniversary number 30 for hubby and I, so I created this card for him using the 'Wish You Were Hare' set by My Favorite Things. He knows how busy I am since I work full time plus design for Divinity Designs, so he doesn't want me to spend a lot of time on cards for him. This set was perfect for a one layer card. The image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black; the ears and nose were colored with a pink marker; a clear glaze pen coated the pink plus any of the spaces I wanted to stay white; lastly, the scene and image were colored with blending brushes and sponges using masking, reverse masking, and stenciling. Cutting several masks took a little while, but I love how it turned out. Since I don't have Copics, this is my fave way to color to achieve a smooth look. I used a journaling pen to add the 30 to the heart. The colors I used in my card are from the MFT Color Challenge, so I will be submitting to this as well.
