My Queen Plus Happy 14th Anniversary to Divinity Designs LLC!

Hi, everyone!  This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to incorporate gold on your project.  My card today was created for a co-worker to give to his wife for her birthday.  The crown from 'Princess' (a retired set by Divinity Designs LLC) was stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto gold metallic paper, then fussy cut. Gems, pearls, and glitter pen were added as embellishments.  Here are the other items (also by Divinity Designs LLC) used to create this card: Christian Faith Collection Paper Pad, Dies: Large Alphabet, Alphabet Caps, Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, A2 Landscape Card Base with Layer; Rhinestones, Foam Mounting Tape.

Happy Anniversary to Divinity Designs LLC!!!

Hi, everyone!  Today marks the 12th anniversary for Divinity Designs LLC (formerly known as Our Daily Bread designs)!  I joined the design team just seven months after the company was started and I can't believe how time has flown!  It's been exciting to see how just a few stamps sets has turned into a full line of stamps, dies, stencils, embossing folders, and paper collections!!!  It has been a blessing to be a part of this family for so many years.  Now, on to the celebration!!!  To see all of the beautiful stamps, dies, and new paper collection, plus some awesome designer samples, please click HERE.  If you follow us on social media, there may be some free goodies in your future!

For my two card samples today, here are the products featured:

For my first card, I tried a new-to-me stained glass technique to show off the awesome new Floral Background Die and one of the sentiments from "I Believe".  It's not a difficult technique, but it takes several layers of cardstock.  First, I cut two white cardstock panels and adhered them together using my Xyron Sticker Maker.  I used the Floral Background Die to emboss only on this double panel so that I could see where to color.  All of the colored sections you see were water-colored; once dry, a panel was die cut with the Floral Background Die and adhered to frame the colors.  Then, Glossy Accents were used to coat all of the colored area (make sure the glaze touches the framing for a more complete look.)  Another frame was die cut and adhered to give more dimension.  You could add even more layers but I felt that it was good as is.  Since I didn't want to cover up the background, the sentiment from "I Believe" was stamped onto vellum and cut out with the Pierced Circles Dies and glued just inside the border of the circle.  The stained glass frame was adhered to a turquoise panel which was cut out with the Matting Rectangle Die, then adhered to the card which was cut out with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Die.

My next card features another sentiment from "I Believe", a gorgeous pattern from the Watercolor Paper Pad, along with the following items which were previously released: Center Step A2 with Layers Dies, Inspiration Words Dies ("Believe"), Alphabet Flags Dies (the letter "I"), Ornamental Crosses Dies, Bitty Borders Dies, and Double Stitched Rectangles Dies.  The sentiment was gold-embossed onto vellum, cut out with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, then turned into a sticker with a Xyron.  The additional die cuts were cut twice (violet and metallic gold) and layered for added dimension.

Our Daily Bread designs 10th Anniversary!!!

Hi, everyone!!  Our Daily Bread designs turns ten years old today.....woo hoo!!!  It is true about time flying when you're having fun because we've been having a blast for ten years now!!  Kelley has released some beautiful new stamps and dies for the Anniversary celebration.....see the entire anniversary release plus all of the designer samples HERE.

Here are the new and previously released items featured in my four projects for today:

First up is a 50th anniversary card which I made for some dear friends, using the following ODBD products:  God Verses 2, ODBD Custom Fancy Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Dies, ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, and one of my fave patterns from the ODBD Wedding Wishes Paper Collection.

Next up is a matching frame to go with the 50th anniversary card.  I have used the following items for this framed gift:  God Quotes 2, ODBD Custom Fancy Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Dies, ODBD Custom Letter G Die, ODBD Custom Letter D Die, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, and the same pattern from the ODBD Wedding Wishes Paper Collection.

Next up is a fun card using the God Verses 2 set, along with the ODBD Custom Letter M Die, ODBD Custom Fancy Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Dies, ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies Dies, and ODBD Beautiful Blooms Paper Collection.  Since spelling the word 'Mom' took some space, instead of my normal A2 sized card, this one ended up approx 6 x 4.

My last card features the ODBD God Quotes 2 set, along with the ODBD Custom Fancy Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Faith Border Die, ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies Dies, and a beautiful pattern from the ODBD Vintage Ephemera Paper Collection.

My Favorite 10 ODBD Projects!

Hi, everyone! Happy Birthday to Lisa at Our Daily Bread designs!!

Hi, everyone!  Today we are throwing a surprise birthday celebration for Lisa Somerville, who works behind the scenes to keep the ODBD machine running smoothly! Lisa is the un-sung hero who keeps our team organized, writes the posts and tutorials for the ODBD blog, Facebook, social media, adds new products each month to the ODBD store and gallery, and much, much more! We are so grateful for all that Lisa does for our team and for the entire company!  Thanks, Lisa!!!

In honor of Lisa on her birthday, Kelley has released (secretly, without Lisa knowing it) a special new Stamp/Die Duo set, called 'Friend to Friend'.  Check out all of the team projects here on the ODBD Blog.  Pssst......if you comment on the ODBD Blog on the birthday post for Lisa, you have a chance of winning one of five 'Friend to Friend' sets!!!

Along with the awesome 'Friend to Friend' set, here are all of the items featured in my two card samples for today:

My first card features the 'Friend to Friend' Stamp/Die Duo set, along with the ODBD Large Banners Dies and ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles.  The background was created by dabbing several colors of ink onto a craft sheet, spritzing with water (and glimmer mist), then 'mopping' up the ink with cardstock. Colorful sequins were added as simple embellishments.

My second card features the 'Friend to Friend' Stamp/Die Duo set, along with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, and a pattern from the ODBD Christian Faith Paper Collection.  The dragonflies were watercolored to match the designer paper then popped up on foam tape. Burlap ribbon and antique copper brads were added as embellishments for a rustic feel.
