Hi, everyone! Happy Friday!! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'Put A Bird On It'....I needed a quick masculine card to put in the mail, so I grabbed the 'Home' set by Artistic Outpost, plus designer paper from the Weathered Wood Collection and Double Stitched Rectangles Dies from Divinity Designs LLC. This was a very simple and quick card.....stamping, tearing, and lots of sponging on the edges, and a bit of linen thread and off it went into the mailbox.
Thanks for stopping by!

Live In The Sunshine
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jill aka JD from PAUSA....congrats, Jill!! I have been a fan of Jill's work for many years.....after cruising through her awesome gallery, I finally decided on this amazing card since I'm a sucker for sunsets and silhouettes! For my card, I have used 'The Outpost' set from Artistic Outpost. I will also be submitting this card to Stacy's 'Tank of Gas' Getaway VSN Challenge since this country scene reminds me of Young's Dairy in Ohio which is a little over 2 hours away.....I have made it there and back on one tank (depending on the vehicle!). Since this stamp was not a full silhouette, I sponged dark gray and green to shadow the scene against the sunrise/sunset. The sky was also sponged, with yellow, orange, and red. To keep it flat for mailing, I used a small hole punch to create 'faux brads' for the black layer. The edges of the card base were sponged for a little dimension.
Thanks for visiting!

Glorify Him
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Carlene aka Chatterbox-1....congrats, Carlene!! I cruised her entire gallery and finally picked this super cute card. I used the following elements in my card for today: masculine theme, gears, linen thread, banners, and a wonderful message for the recipient. The following items were used in the making of my card today: ODBD God Verses 2, ODBD Custom Large Banners Dies, ODBD Custom Steampunk Gears Dies, and a pattern from the Artistic Outpost 'Vagabond Treasures' Paper Collection. The card base was cut out with the largest banner die using the Shaped Card Technique; the scripture panel was cut out by hand after tracing the inside of the die which was used for the mat.

Live In The Sunshine
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at splitcoast is Tapdancer....I chose this beautiful 'Bare Tree' card to case today. It reminded me of the Artistic Outpost set, 'The Outpost', which has a giant tree image. This will be a birthday card for one of my adult nephews. The image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then colored with sponges using masking; the sentiment was cut apart, sponged and adhered separately. The panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and linen thread was added at the bottom as twine was added to Tapdancer's card.

Happy 50th Birthday
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Washi Arts.....I chose these metallic papers since the colors reminded me of the designer paper I used to make this 50th birthday card for my brother-in-law. I love when designer paper does most of the work....this Artistic Outpost 'Vagabond Treasures' Paper Collection is so perfect for guy cards! The numbers were cut in black with the ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies and popped up with foam tape over the designer paper panel which was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. The sentiments stamps from the ODBD 'Celebration' set were stamped in black, then cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies set; the longest pennant die was used for each, but 're-sized' to fit the words perfectly. Some black twine was used as the only embellishment so that the card would be mostly flat for mailing.

The Extra Mile
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Audrie's 'Beautiful Baskets' Pinterest Board. I absolutely LOVE the colors in this gorgeous basket! The design of this card began with the fun and colorful alphabet designer paper from the Artistic Outpost 'Vagabond Treasures' Paper Collection, which led to plum cardstock and mustard ink for sponging. This new 'School Bus Driver' set by Our Daily Bread designs is so fun! The bus was stamped on yellow and again on white so that I could cut out and paper piece the sections together. The sentiment was stamped on panels cut with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies (the top pennant was re-sized to fit the word perfectly).

Our Daily Bread designs May New Releases
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs May New Release party!!! This month's theme is about school, Sunday School, teachers, and bus drivers.....see all of the super fun stamps and dies HERE. If you'd like a chance to win some goodies, please follow the instructions below:
* Cathy * Kathy * Dawn * Sandee * Angie (me) * Julie * Lisa *
* Chris * Diana * Robin * Sabrina * Helen * Lori *
Here are the new and previously released items used in my projects for today:
For my first card, I used the fun new 'School Bus Driver' set, but transformed the 'School Bus' into a 'Church Bus' by stamping individual letters with the 'Pennant Swag Alphabet' set. After the letters were stamped, the rectangle was cut out then the edges were lined with a black marker. The bus was stamped on red cardstock and again on white so that the various pieces could be cut out and paper-pieced together. The stop sign was white embossed on white, then colored with a red marker, cut out and adhered. Red and yellow gemstones were added for the lights at the top. The fun designer paper is from the ODBD Americana Quilt Paper Collection; the panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Squares Dies and ODBD Custom Squares Dies.
Next up is a bookmark and card which was created with the new 'Sunday School Teacher' set and the coordinating ODBD Custom Crosses Dies.
I fell in love with this designer paper from the Artistic Outpost 'Vagabond Treasures' Paper Collection, so I based my color scheme around it. The cross and sentiment from 'Sunday School Teacher' were heat embossed with espresso powder onto ivory cardstock. The cross was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Crosses' Dies; the sentiment panel was cut from the ODBD Custom 'Ornate Ovals Dies'; both were popped up with foam tape. Dark brown embroidery thread was braided for both the card and bookmark. The ODBD Custom Deco Border Die was cut from ivory and sponged with rust and brown.
For the bookmark, the same piece of designer paper was used with the ODBD Custom Bookmarks Dies; the mat was trimmed by hand. As with the card, the scripture and cross were heat embossed. Instead of using a brad for the center of this cross, I used a metallic cut out from a previous project so that the bookmark would be flat inside the Bible or whichever book the recipient chooses to read.
Thanks for hanging out with me and my Sistah Sticks today!
God bless!

Take Me Home Country Roads
Hi, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'The Wheels Go Round and Round'. My 'wheels' are on this vintage truck from the Artistic Outpost set, 'Home'. I picked up this awesome stamp set at the Our Daily Bread designs booth at the Indy stamp show last month. 'Vintage' is not my normal style, but there were a couple of AO sets on my wish list for a while. I started out by cutting the ivory panel with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set before stamping. The sentiment is part of the truck stamp, so I used masking to stamp the truck alone and to stamp the sentiment on a separate piece in order to cut the words apart. Using masking on the truck, the trees were stamped in the background. The card base was swiped with rust and brown ink pads to create the 'faux wood' look. Antique copper brads were used as accents.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Get ready for extra posts from me this weekend so that I may do some catching up on cards I've created recently!

Our Daily Bread designs 9th Anniversary New Release!
Hi, everyone!! Welcome to the 9th Anniversary Blog Hop for Our Daily Bread designs! Wow, nine years!!! I literally jumped for joy when Kelley asked me to be on the design team way back in the fall of 2008 and I am so blessed to still be a part of such an amazing company! Thanks, ODBD!!!
This year's anniversary release is short and sweet, and badly needed!!! The awesome new ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies and super versatile "Celebration" set can be used for sooooo many different combinations and any occasion you can think of!!!!
If you'd like a chance to win some ODBD goodies, please follow the instructions below:
* Sandy * Cathy * Angie (me!) * Lisa * Robin * Julie * * Kathy * Dawn * Grace * Lori * Chris * Helen *
Here are the products featured in my two cards today:
First up is a birthday card for my Mom, who loves blended red and yellow tulips. I knew I wanted to make a '29 again' card since it wouldn't be polite to advertise the real number! :) The numbers from the ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies were cut from white and stenciled with yellow to match the background panel which was cut with the ODBD Custom Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The image from 'Tulips' was stamped in black, cut out with the ODBD Custom Tulip Die, colored with markers, then popped up with foam tape. The sentiment panel was cut with the smallest die from the ODBD Custom Circle Scalloped Rectangles, but was 're-sized' to make it shorter so that the 'again' sentiment from 'Celebration' would fit perfectly. (To resize this die, it was only cut half way the first round, then flipped around and re-positioned so that the scalloped matched, then cut half way on the other end.)
My next card was created for my hubby for our 25th anniversary coming up (good thing he doesn't read my blog!!) I chose the new Artistic Outpost Vagabond Treasures Paper Collection for both the background and for the numbers, since it was "manly"! The numbers were cut out of the designer paper with the ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies, then matted with kraft cardstock. To create the perfect mats for the numbers, I traced the outlines of the dies onto the cardstock and cut out with scissors. Since there are no dramatic curves, this was very simple to do. The sentiments from 'Celebration' were stamped onto panels cut from the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies. The gears were cut out of rust and kraft with the ODBD Custom Steampunk Gears Dies for embellishments and both rectangle panels were cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. I love how all of the piercing coordinates!
Thank you for helping us to celebrate!!!!
God bless!

Sing From The Soul
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge 585 over at Splitcoast was pretty challenging for me.....it took me a long while to figure out my plan of action. I finally settled on the 'Songbirds' set by Artistic Outpost, plus the 'Chalkboard Fan Background' by sister company, Our Daily Bread designs. The fancy frame was stamped in gray, fussy cut around the outside, then stamped the songbirds and sentiment in gray as well, then sponged the edges and birdies with cantaloupe. I went way out of my comfort zone and distressed the edges of the background panels...eek!, then sponged them in gray before adhering them to a white mat which was then paper pierced. I didn't have any ribbon that would work with these colors, so I created a banner for an additional sentiment instead.
