Birthday Lavender and Sailing Ship

Hi, everyone! Have two cards to share today, both are quick and simple...yay! For my first card, I cut a piece of scratch paper to the same size as my card, cut out an oval with a die, then used it as a stencil to sponge the light purple background. The image is from the 'Lavender' set and the sentiment is from 'Smell the Roses', both by Our Daily Bread designs. The only embellishments are matching ribbon to the ink and three pearls. This will be submitted to four Dare to Get Dirty Challenges.

My second card was based on the Ways To Use It Challenge, which is anything to do with ships or sailing. I stamped the image from 'Surging Sea' and sentiment from 'Smooth Sailing' (both from Our Daily Bread designs) onto Kraft cardstock, colored the water and ship with markers, then used a white chalk marker to add waves and color the sails. The marker is from Stampin dries instantly, so there is no smearing factor at all...yay! The card was stamped with the 'Fishing Net Background'. I added some burlap ribbon but nothing else, so that it could be mailed easily.
