Shabby Poinsettias for a Queen!

Hi, everyone!  This fun little 4 x 4 card was made for the Queen For The Day Challenge over at Splitcoast, plus for the Shabby Tea Room "Pretty Baubles" challenge to use the colors in the inspiration photo (to the left) , plus add a bird.  The reigning Queen at SCS is Crafty Julia.....congrats, Julia!!!   I chose this beautiful card to re-create, although I chose to make a shaped card instead of A2.

Faithfulness To The Skies

Hi everyone! Today's Ways to Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to incorporate birds on your project. This Prima 'Madeline' Notecard was perfect for the challenge...already had the beautiful bird printed on it. This was a very quick and easy card....all I had to do was add my scripture stamp and pop it up onto my card!  I am also playing along with the Shabby Tea Room Challenge, to use the photo at the left for inspiration, plus include a rose.  The Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge is to use three of something...I used three pink roses.

Card 'Ingredients': Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Faith';
Cardstock: SU Early Espresso and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: Prima 'Madeline' designer paper and matching Notecard;
Ink: SU Early Espresso;
Accessories: Prima Lace, Zva Creative Pearls and Flowers, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, Paper Piercer and template, foam tape;

Flower Soft Oriental Garden

Hi everyone! Today's "Ways To Use It" Challenge over at Splitcoast is "Year of the Dragon"....since I don't have any oriental type stamps, I went straight to my Flower Soft storage bin. I bought this Flower Soft Oriental Scenic Window Kit about a year ago and forgot all about it. These kits are so easy....just cut out the pieces, layer them with foam tape for dimension, then add your Flower Soft to embellish...so quick and easy! The pre-printed scenes are already super gorgeous, so it doesn't take much Flower Soft to ramp them up! The sentiment is from an Our Daily Bread designs Anniversary Set, "Sentiments Collection".

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Sentiments Collection';
Cardstock: Stampin Up Cajun Craze and Whisper White;
Designer Paper: SEI 'Homestead';
Accessories: Flower Soft Scenic Windows - Oriental, Flower Soft used: Ultrafine Strawberry, Citrus Crush, and Burnt Sienna, Spellbinders Labels Three Dies, foam tape, paper piercer and template;
Size: A2.

In The Beginning Was The Word

Hello, everyone! Just wanted to share a fun card I made for the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge this week.....I couldn't pass up this sketch....I have trouble coming up with simple layouts for cards, so this helped me so much! This sketch gave the perfect opportunity to use the new "The Word of God" set by Our Daily Bread designs....this scripture verse from John is one of my all time favorites!!
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1

The Bible image was stamped in Versamark and heat-embossed with Ranger Fine-detail Gold Embossing Powder, cut out with paper snips and an exacto knife, colored with SU Markers and popped up over the three panels cut from My Mind's Eye designer paper. The scripture verse was gold-embossed as well.

Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'The Word of God';
Cardstock: SU More Mustard and Whisper White(image);
Designer Paper: My Mind's Eye 'Sunshine';
Ink: Versamark, SU Markers;
Accessories: Ranger Detail Gold Embossing Powder, heat tool, paper piercer and template, May Arts Crocheted Lace, Zva Creative pearls, Exacto Knife, foam tape, 'Irridescent Gold' Glimmer Mist;
Size: 5 x 6-1/2.
