Hi everyone! I am so excited to announce that I was asked to be a guest designer for the Splitcoast Color Challenge for the month of October....yay!!!! This week's Color Challenge #446 is to use Summer Starfruit, Cajun Craze, and Soft Suede. What a fabulous opportunity to create another fall-themed card using some new sets by Our Daily Bread designs. The "dessert option" for the challenge is to decorate your bow with a button, charm, etc. The leaves and acorns are from "Autumn Blessings" and were cut out using the ODBD Custom "Fall Leaves and Acorn" Die Set; the quote is from "Thankful Song", and the embossed outline was created with the largest die from the "ODBD Elegant Ovals" Die Set. I have also incorporated this week's Featured Stamper Challenge.....this week's artist is Susie aka PaperPunchScissors....congrats, Susie!!! I fell in love with the layout of this beautiful card, so I used it for my sample here today (although I did add ribbon and a bow).
Thanks so much for visiting today! If you are seeing this Monday evening, come on back at 8 am in the morning for the October New Release from Our Daily Bread designs!!!

"Autumn Blessings" Sneak Peek
Hi, everyone! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create your card based upon the Pinterest Inspiration Photo shown at the left. Fall is my favorite time of year and Our Daily Bread designs has some amazing autumn-themed stamps for October. My card today is a Sneak Peek, getting ready for the big release tomorrow morning!
I started off with a Kraft card base, stamped with the ODBD "Wood Background", then stamped and colored three leaves from the "Autumn Blessings" set, then cut them out with the ODBD Custom "Fall Leaves and Acorn" Die Set and adhered them over a burlap ribbon banner. The sentiment is also from "Autumn Blessings".
Thank you for visiting today! Before I go, I do need to mention that Our Daily Bread designs has a sale again this week on select items....check out the deets HERE! Happy Shopping!
Have a blessed week!

Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice!
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It and Friday Free 4 All Challenges at Splitcoast were both about using squares, so I took this opportunity to make a birthday card for my sweet little niece, Madilyn, who will be four in a few weeks. The lady bugs were stamped with the Stamped-By 'Ladybug Mini' by Our Daily Bread designs, then cut out and glued onto panels which were stamped with the ODBD 'Stitch Background'. The sentiment is from the ODBD 'Little Girls' set and I felt that I just had to use the ODBD 'Gingham Background' to tie it all together!

ODBD Sneak Peek - Autumn Blessings
Hi, everyone!! Woo hoo, it's the weekend!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose any item from The Bella Cottage for your inspiration.....I really love the lavender, pink, and gold combination in this parfum photo....yummy!!!! For my card, I used alcohol inks on glossy cardstock, then heat embossed in gold with the "Leaves Background" stamp which will be available on Tuesday, October 1st. The sentiment is from another October set, "Autumn Blessings" and it's framed by "Mini Tags 1", which coordinates with SB Ribbon Tags Trio 3. The tag was stamped in dark purple, sponged in pink, and then accented with 'Gold Lame' Smooch paint to match the embossing.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a beautiful weekend!!

Chalkboard Birthday
Hi, everyone! I have created this birthday card using the Clean and Simple Sketch Challenge and Color Challenge of gray and green, both from Splitcoast this week. I really wanted to incorporate these two challenges together, so the ODBD "Chalkboard - Birthday and Thank You" set was just right for a masculine card.
Hey, just in case you did not know, Our Daily Bread designs has a sale going on this week on select items....check out the deets HERE!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Birthday!
Hello! My nephew chose Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the theme of his birthday party, so I had to figure out a way to create a matching card. I searched around for ideas, but ended up printing off a free on-line coloring page onto white cardstock, colored and cut out the Michaelangelo image and popped him up over a scene which was sponged over scratch paper. The sentiment is from the Our Daily Bread designs "Special Boy" set.

Rev Up Your Engines!
Hello! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Curt O'Brien aka indycurt....congrats, Curt! There were so many wonderful cards in his gallery with fun scenes, so I chose this one to recreate for a quick birthday card for my nephew's party this afternoon. He asked for a card with a dog, so Snoopy it is!!! Since I wanted to make a one-layer card, there was a lot of masking involved, but I love the tedious stuff!
The sentiment is from "Special Boy" by Our Daily Bread designs, the "Snoopy's Chopper" image is by Stampabilities, the dirt specks are from a Stampin Up classic, "Itty Bitty Backgrounds", and the trees are by Inkadinkado.
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your Sunday!!

Golden Anniversary Card
Hello, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from any item at Eastern Accents.....this pillow with gold leaves and shaped beads helped me to create this anniversary card for my aunt and uncle.
The cake and 50th topper are from the "Anniversary Blessings" set from Our Daily Bread designs. The background die cut and foliage were cut from gold mirror paper which I purchased from the ODBD Show Booth earlier this year. The background die cut is the "ODBD Quatrefoil Pattern Die" and the flourish and leaves are from the "ODBD Fancy Foliage Die" set. The card base was cut out with SB Curved Rectangles and the frame is Radiant Rectangles. the hearts and flowers were painted with Gold Lame Smooch paint. After taking over 20 photos, this is the best shot I could get.....metallics are super difficult to photograph without a glare!
Thanks for visiting today! Have a beautiful weekend!!

Corner Bookmark Tutorial with ODBD Dies!
Hi, everyone! It's been nearly a year, but I have written a new tutorial for the ODBD Blog on how to create a corner bookmark using Our Daily Bread designs "Decorative Corners" cutting dies. Check out the tutorial HERE.
For the first bookmark, I have used the following products from Our Daily Bread designs:
ODBD Custom "Decorative Corners" Dies;
ODBD Custom "Recipe Card and Tags" Dies;
Recipe Card Icons;
Baking Tag Sentiments;
Gingham Background.
The next bookmark you may have already seen.....it was revealed on the September New Release post. I used the following ODBD products for this bookmark:
ODBD "Decorative Corners" Dies;
Vintage Border Background;
The Word of God (scripture).
Here is a view of the back side of the bookmark. I used the Bible image from "The Word of God", along with two separate words from the "Words of Faith" set.
Thanks for stopping by today.....and thanks for checking out the Corner Bookmark Tutorial on the ODBD Blog!

Holly Berry House Cross Magnet
Hi, everyone! Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use gold on your creation. This is a four layer cross which I made into a refrigerator magnet. The cross image (approx. size is 3-1/2 x 4-1/2) is by Holly Berry House....they make all kinds of beautiful stamps for 3d projects. I stamped the cross four times using Versamark, sprinkled Ranger Gold Detailed Embossing Powder over the Versamark, tapped off the excess powder, then heated with my heat gun to emboss the images. I then cut out all four crosses, smaller sections each time. Once they were all colored (with SU markers), I popped up the layers using 3M foam tape and added a few pearls. In order to make it a magnet, I stamped the cross image onto a magnet sheet and trimmed it out with my paper snips, then adhered it to the back of the cross.
Thanks for stopping by!

Tri-Shutter Scripture Card
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge is all about using designer paper in creative ways. I created this Tri-Shutter 2-1/2 years ago for a tutorial for Our Daily Bread designs, but never posted the photos here or in my gallery, so I will be submitting to the WT Challenge today. You can see the Tri-Shutter tutorial HERE on the ODBD Blog.
Since there is a lot to see with a Tri-Shutter, I have included quite a few photos. The stamps used are from the Our Daily Bread designs Scripture Collection 6, Scripture Collection 7, and the butterflies are from the "Faith" set. The designer paper is from Prima "Reflections", the crocheted lace is May Arts, and the pearls are Basic Grey. The folds were scored easily and quickly using my Scor-buddy.

Hippie Wanda
Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is dark blue, dark pink, and pear green ...perfect for this designer paper by Basic Grey! Since the paper was a little "funky", I had to dust off this "Wanda" set. Her quote says, "Remember when "hippie" meant a group of people.......and not the lower half of your body?!" I love this set, but you have to make sure and use it for someone with a sense of humor!!!! :)
Card details:
Stamps: Stampin Up 'Words By Wanda' ;
Designer Paper: Basic Grey 'Lauderdale';
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, SU markers and ink pads;
Accessories: Spellbinders Large Scalloped Ovals and Oval Nestabilities, Prima Flowers, Zva Creative Pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist, 'Ocean' Ultrafine Flower Soft (in center of flower), paper piercer and template, sponge daubers, foam tape, May Arts Satin Ribbon;
Techniques: Paper Piercing;
Size: 5-1/2 Square.

Apple Season
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is Julie E. aka Humma......congrats, Julie!!! Julie's gallery has such a wonderful variety of projects....I chose this beautiful card to re-create using the Our Daily Bread designs "Apples" set, along with the ODBD "Quatrefoil Pattern" die which was used to emboss rather than cut. (To emboss only with any cutting die, use the sandwich recipe you normally would to emboss what you have just die-cut.....cutting plate, die cutting side up, cardstock, embossing mat, embossing plate.)

Pinterest Inspired Pink Roses
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the weekend!!! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose an item from this Pinterest Board to inspire your card or project.....I chose these beautiful pink roses on this crazy beautiful wedding cake!! Until now, I have not allowed myself to look at Pinterest since I know that I would get hooked.....after seeing Audrie's board, I am glad that I have set those rules for myself.....what a fabulous page, but now I KNOW if I go back, I'll be in trouble!!
This rose image is from LaBlanche.....I picked it up at the North Coast Creations show booth last year. The shaped card was cut with Spellbinders Fleur De Lis Squares; the image panel is Spellbinders Labels 15. The May Arts satin ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy.
Thanks for visiting with me today!
Have a very blessed weekend!

Sunflower Blessings!
Hi, everyone! This card was inspired by the ODBD Shining the Light "One Layer" Challenge, along with this week's Sketch Challenge (to the left) and Ways To Use It "Sweet as Honey" Challenge over at Splitcoast. The card was embossed with a honeycomb embossing folder, then lightly inked with Ranger Antique Linen. The sunflowers are from the "Harvest Blessings" set by Our Daily Bread designs and were cut out with a custom "Sunflowers" cutting die. The sentiment is from "Sentiments Collection".

Blessings In Blue
Hello!! Today I would like to share a super fun card which I made for the ODBD Shining the Light "One Layer" Challenge, plus two challenges over at Splitcoast. The Clean and Simple Challenge is to use stencils......I didn't have any metal ones, so I made one with a Chevron border punch. The Color Challenge this week is to use Coastal Cabana, Tempting Turquoise, and Pacific Point, so I sponged the three blues through the punched chevrons onto a white panel. Though not very visible, there are score lines from my Scor-buddy on each side of the chevrons. The sentiment is from the "Blessings" set by Our Daily Bread designs......I use this set a lot on the inside of my cards, but I used it on the outside this time since the arrows went with the chevron theme.

You're Such A Peach!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Lee Murphy aka LuvLee......congrats, Lee!!!! My goodness, Lee has a HUGE gallery full of creativity and variety.....I enjoyed every single page!! I decided to recreate this beautiful card, using the "Peaches" set from Our Daily Bread designs. I used the ODBD Quatrefoil Pattern die as an embossing plate to create the embossed background. The cardstock is ivory, but looks white in the photo for some reason. The ribbon is by May Arts and pearls by Zva Creative.

I Found The One Whom My Soul Loves!
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a very simple anniversary card I made using the new ODBD Custom "Decorative Corners" die set, along with a verse from the previously released set, "Love Scriptures". The largest corner die was cut out of Wisteria cardstock, the embossed sections were colored with a glitter pen, then the die cut was adhered to a white panel which was scored with my Scor-buddy. Once the verse was stamped, I used a heart shaped stencil to pierce around it....this one I did not want to try free-hand! :) After adding some matching ribbon and bow (tied with a Bow Easy), several sprays of "Pearl" Glimmer Mist were added for sparkle.
I will be submitting this to the Dynamic Duos Challenge, to use plum and one other color.....I guess my other color would be black for the scripture verse....hope that counts!!
Thanks so much for visiting today!
God bless!

My first card samples features the awesome "Apples" set. I love the image and the sentiments and scriptures are fantastic!!! The smaller words coordinate with the Recipe Card line!
The shaped card and layers were cut out with Spellbinders "Nested Apples". The center apple was stamped with the ODBD "Gingham Background" in mustard.....I thought the dark red and mustard went well together! The three little apples were cut out from the larger image from the "Apples" set. The paper piercing was done by hand and the layers were adhered with foam tape to give a little dimension.
I will also be featuring one of two new exclusive die sets for this month, "Decorative Corners". The cut-out and piercing details are amazing! Kudos to Michelle Laycock for the designs!! These corners can be used to embellish cards, scrapbook pages, photo frames, 3d art, and many more projects, including a corner bookmark like shown below.
To create this corner bookmark, I cut a square piece of cardstock which was the same width as the corner die. The front and back of the white panel was stamped using the Vintage Border Background. Behind the stenciled cross is the fold line where the two sides met after scoring and folding from the top center. The corner die cut piece was adhered with craft glue. The bottom edge was punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. The scripture is from a previously released set by ODBD, "The Word of God". Since I will be using this in my Bible, I did not add any extra embellishments or ribbons, however, you can really "dude it up" if you like! These are super simple and fast to make!
Here is another view, with the bookmark in use....the page just slips right under the top flap:
