Hi, everyone!! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the incredibly talented Kathy Roney aka rosekathleenr....congrats, Kathy!!! I chose this gorgeous card from her gallery to case, using the image from the 'Hand Knit' set (plus ODBD Custom Knitting Basket and Yarn Dies), sentiment from 'Sewing', embossed the background with the 'ODBD Custom Quatrefoil Pattern Die' and framed the basket with the 'ODBD Custom Doily Dies' from Our Daily Bread designs.
Thanks again for dropping by!! Come on back Monday morning for the September New Releases from Our Daily Bread designs!!!

Emboss Resist Doily Blessings
Happy Saturday!!!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find a photo from Audrie's Inspiration Pinterest board......I loved the colors of this photo and incorporated them in my card. The doily and sentiment I used are from 'Doily Blessings' from Our Daily Bread designs (available Sept 1st). The doily was clear embossed onto white cardstock, then using the embossing resist technique, I sponged green, yellow, peach, and pink inks onto the white cardstock. After matting the panel, the edges were paper pierced with a template and the piercing around the doily stamp was freehand. The paper button in the center was cut with the ODBD Custom Doily Dies set (also available Sept 1st). Pearls and baker's twine were added for embellishments. I will also be submitting this to the Friday Free4All Challenge, which was to use one little button on your project.

Doily Blessings / ODBD Sneak Peek!
Hi, everyone!! Today is the first day for sneak peeks of the September 1st new releases from Our Daily Bread designs.....woo hoo!!!! My shaped card and popped up doily were both cut out with the upcoming ODBD Custom Doily Dies Set. The scripture is from 'Doily Blessings', the designer paper is from the ODBD 'Blushing Rose Collection', and the ivory seam binding bow was tied with a Bow Easy. The general card design was based on this shaped card by Jenn Cochran, who is this week's Queen for the Day, along with our new QFTD hostess......congrats on both accounts!!!

Serenity Prayer
Hi, everyone!! Today's Color Challenge at Splitcoast is to use Old Olive, Calypso Coral, and Lost Lagoon, with a 'dessert' option of using something recycled. I used a stencil to blend the three colors together onto a one layer white card, then stamped the 'Serenity Prayer' from Our Daily Bread designs over it. I did not choose the 'dessert' option since I only had a few minutes to create the card before leaving for work.

College Encouragement
Hi, everyone! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to do some coloring on your CAS card. I made this card for a friend's grand-daughter who just went away for college. She is anxiously awaiting for her first piece of mail at her dorm, so a group of us are sending cards and letters to her this week to wish her well. I have used the 'Walk with Jesus' set by Our Daily Bread designs, colored with Pink Pirouette and Mauve Mist.
Before I go, just wanted to remind you that the "Dog Days of Summer" Sale is going on at Our Daily Bread designs and sister companies North Coast Creations and Artistic Outpost. Click on each company link in this paragraph to see the details. Happy Shopping!!

Sunset Beach
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Christyne aka Coconutmuffn....congrats, Christyne!!! I chose this beautiful card to case because I loved the Kraft card base and the cool layout with the curved panel. I used the 'My Lifeguard' set by Our Daily Bread designs. The image was stamped, cut out with paper snips and a craft knife, then popped up over a scene which was sponged over scratch paper. Instead of using a border die along the side, I used burlap ribbon since this is a masculine card. The sentiment is from 'Flip Flop Fun', also from ODBD.

Relax!
Happy Saturday, everyone!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the watercolor paintings of this Etsy store. I loved the soft yellow and brown tones of this seashell....though I did not have a shell stamp, I did use the sand dollar image from 'Ocean Treasures' and incorporated the same colors into it. After watercoloring the image, I also painted on some 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist for some sparkle. The sentiment is from the 'Flip Flop Fun' set. I will also submit this for the Friday Free4All Challenge which is to use one or two words.

Rustic Mountains Birthday Card
Happy Friday!! Woo hoo!!! I'm excited about the weekend because I have some new goodies from Our Daily Bread designs for the September release....haha, yes, I'm a tease...you have to wait until next Friday when Sneak Peeks begin!!!
But meanwhile, I have made this card for two challenges over at Splitcoast.....today's Friday Free4All Challenge is to use one or two words only, no more. The card design is based on this gorgeous card by Diane Cramer aka fionna51 who is this week's Featured Stamper....congrats, Diane!!! The image I used is from 'Keep Climbing' and the sentiment is from 'Ornate Border Sentiments', both from Our Daily Bread designs. Instead of doodling, I used paper piercing. After seeing the photo, I wish I would have sponged it more, but too late now!! :)

Stenciled Ferns CAS Style
Hi, everyone!! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use stencils on your project. Two weekends ago, I picked up some stencils at the Cincinnati stamp show and I'm super excited to use one of them today!! The ferns were sponged in green and yellow against a white panel, then a sentiment from 'Anchor the Soul' by Our Daily Bread designs was stamped, paper pierced the edges, and added some cotton ribbon and three pearls.
Before I sign off, just wanted to let you know that Our Daily Bread designs has an awesome sale going on this week....check out the details HERE!

You Are So Cool!
Happy Saturday, everyone!!! Today I have made a card....just because! After the Dare To Get Dirty card-making marathon, my birthday card stash is in pretty good shape, so I'm stamping today just for fun!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to pick a color combo from the Designs Seeds Blog as inspiration......when I saw this delicious photo and color combo, I knew that I had to break out the "You're the Bomb" set from North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs). Growing up, my siblings and I would LOVE when mom would buy Melon Pops....so refreshing and so yummy!!! The image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, colored with celery and caramel, then coated with Versamark, covered in clear embossing powder, then heat embossed. The sentiment was stamped in celery and clear embossed as well. The background was created by sponging celery over a new stencil (LOVE!), then dry embossing on either side with a stars embossing folder, then scored two lines with my Scor-buddy to separate the sections.

Flip Flop Magnets
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways to Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is to use some sort of glaze on your project. As soon as I saw the new flip flops from Our Daily Bread designs, I knew I wanted to make some magnets for my mom, the Flip Flop Queen, and for my own refrigerator as well.
The largest images from Flip Flop Fun were stamped twice onto light brown cardstock; one image was cut out with the ODBD Custom Flip Flop Die Set, the 2nd just the straps were cut out and popped up with foam tape. The dies were traced onto a magnet sheet and cut out by hand so that they would be a smidge smaller than the paper; the adhesive was peeled off and the magnets were adhered to the back of the flip flops. After coloring and shading, Glossy Accents were used to coat everything and turquoise gems were added for decoration.
The next photo shows the flip flop magnets amidst part of our vacation collection.
I will definitely try again and make some more colorful ones....these were kind of a trial and error, but turned out good enough to share.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sand In Your Shoes
Hi, everyone! I stayed out of my stamp room for a couple of days to recover from DTGD week, but today's Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast was one I couldn't resist! I love when I can do a challenge before work...yay!! The sand dollar and sentiment are from 'Ocean Treasures' by Our Daily Bread designs. The card base is Naturals White, the two torn pieces are Sahara Sand, and the sand dollar was stamped on a scrap from my trash pile. I had previously tried to dry emboss with the ODBD Daisy Chain Background die and used the wrong sandwich so it didn't turn out like I wanted it. So, today, I spotted it and stamped the sand dollar on it, sponged it with blush and sand, then spritzed it with Pearl Glimmer Mist. The photo does not show the texture or shimmer, but it's really pretty in the real.

Stamped Embossing Folder Technique!
Woo hoo!! I finished the rest of the Dare to Get Dirty Challenges....just under the wire!! I'm so happy about how the background technique came out since I have not done this before today! I inked up one side of an embossing folder with yellow, 'thumped' with a brown and rust marker along some of the edges, spritzed the whole thing with water, then used it as a stamp on white cardstock. It only took a few minutes to dry, then I used a circle die to cut a portion out, in which I popped up a tag cut from the ODBD 'Recipe Card and Tags' Die Set, stamped with a sentiment from the 'Zinnia' set. The little bee is also from 'Zinnia' and was cut out with the ODBD 'Zinnia and Leaves' Die Set. I also used the circle die to cut a piece of burlap ribbon. (I put a piece of scotch tape on the back of the burlap before cutting so that it would not fray on the edges.)

Just Married and Punny Notecards
Hello!! With my two cards today, I have completed 46 of the 49 Dare to Get Dirty Challenges! Tonight is the deadline....I hope to combine the last three when I get home from work today.
For my first card, I have used several items from Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Die Set, ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die set, Chalkboard Fan Background, and Wedding Blessings. The hand-made flower was made with a Martha Stewart punch which had to be dusted off before using...eek!! I thought about making a bow with the black embroidered ribbon, but thought it might look too cluttered. I used every black, grey, and white button from my stash....looks like I need to go shopping...darn!! :)
Next up is a set of four notecards, with a belly band to hold them together. Instead of sharing photos of all four of them, I cropped the four images and combined them into one. Each one has some sort of bling, whether it be stickles, glitter pen, or pearls. The stamps I used for the sassy notecards are from 'Very Punny' and the sentiment on the belly band is from a hostess set, the name of which I forgot to write down.
Thanks so much for visiting!

So Grateful
Hi, everyone!! Today's card is a combination of eight different Dare to Get Dirty Challenges over at Splitcoast. Though I can't share the challenge details here, I can share how it was created. I dusted off two Stampin Up sets which haven't gotten any love in a looooong time, 'Peaceful Pastoral' and 'Cute Converse', along with some Basic Grey 'Indian Summer' designer paper. The image and sentiment were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, the background colored with sponges using masking, then the image was colored with markers and 'Gold Lame' Smooch to coordinate with the gold brads and antique gold metal corner accent. Two patterns from the designer paper pack were cut into 1/4" strips and woven together. The main colors used were Crisp Cantaloupe, Rich Razzleberry, and Raspberry Ripple....I will definitely use the Cantaloupe and Razzleberry together again.....I think it's so yummy, kinda like rainbow sherbet!!!

Quilted Hearts Shaker Card
Happy Friday, everyone!! For my card today, I have combined the Friday Free4All Challenge (to use stripes...I used an embossing folder) plus five Dare To Get Dirty Challenges as well. Though this took several hours to make, it was super fun.....I haven't made a shaker card in a while! All of the hearts were cut out with the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Die Set. The designer paper used for the small hearts is from the ODBD 'Heart and Soul Collection'. After cutting out the hearts for the inner quilt pattern, the leftover strip of designer paper was so cool that I just had to incorporate it, so I layered it onto a wide piece of pink satin ribbon, then layered some smaller cut hearts in the center. For the shaker part, I traced the large die onto a piece of acetate, then trimmed it down by hand, adhered it with Scor-tape to the top frame, then added two layers of foam tape around the heart (it takes two layers in order for the beads to be able to move around.) The sentiment is from 'Little Girls', also by Our Daily Bread designs. A couple of pink pearls were added, plus a small pink bow, tied with a Bow Easy.

Birthday Lavender and Sailing Ship
Hi, everyone! Have two cards to share today, both are quick and simple...yay! For my first card, I cut a piece of scratch paper to the same size as my card, cut out an oval with a die, then used it as a stencil to sponge the light purple background. The image is from the 'Lavender' set and the sentiment is from 'Smell the Roses', both by Our Daily Bread designs. The only embellishments are matching ribbon to the ink and three pearls. This will be submitted to four Dare to Get Dirty Challenges.
My second card was based on the Ways To Use It Challenge, which is anything to do with ships or sailing. I stamped the image from 'Surging Sea' and sentiment from 'Smooth Sailing' (both from Our Daily Bread designs) onto Kraft cardstock, colored the water and ship with markers, then used a white chalk marker to add waves and color the sails. The marker is from Stampin Up...it dries instantly, so there is no smearing factor at all...yay! The card was stamped with the 'Fishing Net Background'. I added some burlap ribbon but nothing else, so that it could be mailed easily.

Life is Better in Flip Flops
Hi there!!! This week is Sketch Challenge #500 over at Splitcoast....wow, 500!! The challenge is to choose a sketch from 400-499...I chose number 451 since I love CAS and I love banners. Instead of using designer paper for the banners, I stamped my own with 'Flip Flop Fun' and 'Life is Better' from Our Daily Bread designs, then colored each with sponge daubers in blue, blue-green, and green ink. To match the flip flop image, the card was embossed with a Polka Dot embossing folder. I will also be submitting this to five Dare to Get Dirty Challenges. I don't know if I will be able to complete all 49 challenges this week, but I'm definitely making a dent so far....yay!!!

On The Beach
Hello! I have another "funky" but fun card to share today!! The triangle shaped card's fold is at the top and opens from the bottom. I have combined a couple of Dare To Get Dirty Challenges along with today's Color Challenge of Cherry Cobbler, Wild Wasabi, Pool Party, and Daffodil Delight (plus no focus on flowers or sentiments). The sentiment stamp I used is from 'Flip Flop Fun' from Our Daily Bread designs and the other stamps in the scene are from an 'oldie' stamp set from Stampin Up, 'On The Beach'. The waves and sand were colored with sponge daubers and ink; the detailed items were colored with markers. This will be a birthday card for my nephew, Ethan, who saw the ocean for the first time recently and was transformed into a totally different kid...he loved it!!!!

You Will Never Walk Alone
Hello! Happy Monday!! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge is to choose a card from the amazingly talented and super creative Tenia Sanders-Nelson's gallery....congrats, Tenia, for being featured this week! You know that you are a ROCK STAR in my book!! I had not seen this awesome card before and I fell in love with it, so, after I quit giggling over it, I had to case it today! I used the 'Walk with Jesus' set and 'Christian Faith Collection' designer papers, both from Our Daily Bread designs.

Fun and Funky Watermelon!
Hi again!! After church, lunch, and a quick nap, I squeezed four more Dare To Get Dirty Challenges into this card. I will save this for one of my niece's birthdays later in the year. The sentiment at the bottom is from the 'Flip Flop Fun' set and was stamped directly onto some Basic Grey 'Lemonade' paper which coordinated with the felt watermelon. The polka dot banner was cut from ODBD 'Blushing Rose Collection' designer paper with a layer of vellum as a mat. The letters at the top from the 'Pennant Alphabet' set were stamped with Stazon onto a re-purposed stamp package insert, cut out with scissors, made into stickers, and layered onto the pennants cut with the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Die Set. The bumblebee from the 'Zinnia' set was stamped, cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Zinnia and Leaves' Die Set, colored with a yellow marker and glitter pen, then adhered with foam tape. To match the black gems in the watermelon and the black pearls on the banner, I used Black Stickles for the bee trail. Yes, it's a bit 'funky', but I love the fun colors!! :)

Dare to Get Dirty Challenges
Hello!! I have three cards to share with you for today. Each of these are for different Dare To Get Dirty Challenges over at Splitcoast Stampers.....if you are a Fan Club Member, this link to the challenge thread will work. If the link doesn't work for you, that means that you NEED to join the Fan Club because you are missing out on so much fun stuff and access to the Dirty Dozen gallery each month.
For my first card, I used a brand new set from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Anchor the Soul'. The image, anchors, and sentiment were stamped in Navy Blue, the 'Fishing Net Background' was stamped with Sahara Sand, and everything was sponged with Sahara Sand as well. The navy twill was repurposed.....it came tied around a stack of washcloths......score!! The little anchor was fussy cut, tied onto the ribbon with some linen thread. While I had the linen thread out, I decided to pierce an extra hole at each corner and do some hand-stitching. I will save this for my hubby's birthday in a couple of months....good thing he doesn't read my blog! :)
My next card features part of the image from the 'With Deepest Sympathy' set by Our Daily Bread designs. I used a reversing stamp to stamp the reflection. The scene was colored with sponge daubers and ink pads on the solid parts and markers on the detailed part. The verse is from 'Scripture Collection 10', also from ODBD.
My last card for today was fun to make.....haven't made a window card in a while! The window, curtains, and valance were cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Window' Die Set, the foxglove image is from the 'Bloom' set, the sentiment is from 'Ornate Borders Sentiments', and the designer paper is from the ODBD 'Rustic Beauty Collection'.
Thanks for visiting with me today!!
