Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to revisit a stamping memory...first technique, first stamp set, or remake a previous card. I chose the latter and recreated this one layer 'Summer Strawberries' card from 2014 since I liked the CAS layout and fruit theme. For my new card, the card base was cut from watercolor paper and stamped with the 'Lemon Branch' set from Divinity Designs (formerly Our Daily Bread designs). The image was colored with both watercoloring and markers, then coated with a clear glaze pen as a resist. Aqua ink was then sponged around the image. Since this is a one layer card, I chose not to watercolor around the image to prevent the card base from warping.

The Goodness of the Lord
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Barb Gregg aka Amisjag.....congrats, Barb!! There were so many cards I loved, but finally settled on this gorgeous card to case today. Not sure if you have heard, but Our Daily Bread designs is now Divinity Designs LLC...same company, different name. For my card, I am using the 'Fruit of the Spirit' set from the upcoming January 1st release, plus their new 'Flourishes' Embossing Folder. Since I cheated on Barb's design and added a layer, I kept both the card base and embossed panel the same color. After the navy panel was embossed, it was cut out with the DD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The doily was cut out with the 'Doily Dies' set and the flower spray was cut with the 'Bitty Blossoms' Dies. Instead of one vintage brad, I added two pearls in the same spot. The apple basket image was colored with markers direct to stamp, huffed and stamped off, then stamped onto the panel cut with the Pierced Circles Dies. Colored pencils were used to highlight the image and the sentiment was over-stamped in black.

Spring Birdies
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Unique Vintage......there is something about gingham which makes me so happy, so I chose this blue gingham dress. For my card, I began by stamping the background with the ODBD 'Gingham Background' stamp in light blue, then cutting out the panel with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The image from the 'Birdhouse' set was stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto watercolor paper, cut out with the ODBD Custom Large Banners Dies, then colored with markers and water-coloring. The 'Smile' sentiment is from the ODBD Custom Inspiration Words Dies. The bow was tied with a Bow Easy.

Assembly Line Snowflake Cards
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a group of Happy New Year cards stamped with various sizes and colors of snowflakes (from the 'Sparkling Snowflakes' retired set), plus a card featuring a panel created by 'stamping off' the snowflakes and then used for this week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast. When I began stamping the stack of cards, my scratch paper underneath began transforming into a gorgeous collage, so I grabbed a piece of white cardstock to use for stamping off instead. I used the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies to cut out the snowflake collage panel, plus two square frames for the sketch. The sentiment from 'Snowflake Sentiments' was stamped then cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, using the Die Resizing Technique so that the panel would fit the sentiment perfectly. (See the Die Resizing Tutorial in this post.) Clear gemstones were added to the snowflake centers. Stickles were added to the snowflake centers on the 'assembly line' cards. The sentiment on the group of cards is from 'Snowy Blessings'.

Quiet Beauty
Hi, everyone! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to feature stitching on your CAS cards, so I chose to use the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set to cut out the image from a 2003 SU set, 'A Beautiful Season'. Both stamps were colored with markers, spritzed with water, then stamped onto white cardstock. I will also be submitting this to the December 'Flea Market Flip' Fan Club Challenge since I used one of the oldest stamp sets I own and haven't used in over ten years. The last time I used this set, I didn't even own a digital camera!

Be Joyful!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Melody Schwartz aka lacyquilter....congrats, Melody!!! Wow, what an IMMENSE gallery...over 2700 uploads!! After cruising through every page of her gallery, I finally narrowed it down to this gorgeous card which helped me to create this birthday card for my niece. The card base was stamped with the 'Gingham Background' with Brilliant Blue; the main panel was created with the Wrinkle Free Distress (some call it the 'Smoosh' technique) with Brilliant Blue, Tempting Turquoise, and Lavender Lace ink. The
image and scripture from 'Be Joyful' were stamped with Stazon Jet Black once the panel was dry and cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. Sequins were added for a little bling.

God Is Good All The Time
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Lakeside Collection. I chose this awesome wall clock so that I could combine the Friday Free 4 All 'One Layer' Challenge and the Mixability 'Clock' Challenge. For my card, I began by masking off a square with post-it paper, then swiped the exposed card with ink pads and white-washed with acrylic paint for the 'faux wood' look, then stenciled various numbers. The clock hands and sentiment are from the ODBD set, 'God's Timing'. Once the mask was removed, the card looked a bit plain, so I used the same die from the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies to emboss around the inked section.

Winter Blessings To You!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Di aka DiHere....congrats, Di! I need to make some clean and simple Happy New Year cards, so these two beautiful cards supplied the inspiration I was looking for for my assembly line stamping. The sentiment is from 'White as Snow' and the ODBD Custom Dies used are: Neighborhood Border, Double Stitched Circles, and Double Stitched Rectangles. Stickles were added at the end for snowy sparkle. This card also fits the DEC18VSNJ challenge, so I will be submitting this to that gallery as well.

Seek and Find
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Shutterstock site.....I loved the monochromatic tones of this awesome forest photo. For my card, I began by creating a large panel with the Wrinkle Free Distress technique, which some are now calling the 'Smoosh' technique. Three shades of brown ink pads were smooshed onto a craft sheet, spritzed with water, then white cardstock mopped up all of the ink. Once the panel was dry, two shaped panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Pierced Vintage Labels Dies, for the image panels on front and back of the flip card. The pine images from the 'Seek Me' set were inked first with Close to Cocoa, then Chocolate Chip; each time the stamp(s) were inked, they were spritzed with water before stamping. The first photo is the front of the card when folded (will fit into an A2 envelope).
This photo shows the front panel as it's being flipped open.
This photo shows the inside image/scripture panel which also was stamped with the 'Seek Me' stamp set. To match the scripture verse, 'Seek' and 'Find' banners were cut with the ODBD Custom Alphabet Flags Dies, backed with white cardstock then 'tied' together with linen thread. At the bottom of the card, a scene was created using the following ODBD Custom Dies: Curvy Slopes and Trees and Deer. Before adhering the image panels, they were both matted with the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Dies. The card base and ODBD 'Ephemera Essentials' plaid design were all cut out with the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Flip Fold and Layers Dies. A greeting panel was added to the back side of the card in order to write a birthday message for my Dad; the layer die used for the Seek Find panel was used to cut out the greeting panel..perfect fit! :) For the finishing touch, three 'faux brads' were added to the front corner (leftover die cut pieces from a previous project, coated with a clear glaze pen.)

Snowflake Hugs Times Two!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Victoria aka Hawaiian....congrats, Victoria! When I saw this gorgeous card in Victoria's gallery, it looked like something I could try to recreate with Alcohol Inks and Lift Ink. I began by covering a piece of Yupo paper with pink, purple, and teal alcohol inks. The sentiment and snowflakes from the SU set 'Beautiful Blizzard' were then inked with Alcohol Lift Ink, stamped onto the Yupo panel and then stamped onto a piece of white cardstock. (Lifting and stamping the snowflakes was not difficult, however, the stamp has to be cleaned each time.) Once the two panels were finished, they were trimmed, matted, then the cards were finished with Dazzling Diamonds glitter glue (which did not show up in the photographs...grrr!).
This week's Clean and Simple Challenge is 'December Birthdays'. The card below, with the snowflakes and sentiment lifted from the alcohol ink panel in the card above, fits this challenge perfectly. Both my sister-in-law and her daughter are Christmas babies, so snowflakes are perfect without being 'Christmas-y'.

Saxophone Birthday
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a quick card created for my nephew's birthday. He began playing the saxophone in school this year and is excelling so far...we are so proud of him!! I knew I wanted to use the saxophone image from 'Marvelous Things' from Our Daily Bread designs for his card. The image was colored with three different markers before stamping onto a panel cut with the ODBD Custom Large Banners Dies. The background paper is from the 'Notable Notes' Paper Collection and was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The tiny stars were cut out with the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies.

Cupcake Celebration
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jessica Kruegel aka jexterra.....congrats, Jessica! I chose this adorable cupcake card from her gallery as inspiration today. For my card, two white panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies; on one, the 'Cupcake' single was stamped, watercolored at the bottom and sponged at the top; the largest panel was scored with a Scor-buddy. A partial piece of designer paper from the NCC 'Sweet Shoppe' Paper Collection was cut with the same die, using the Die Re-sizing Technique. A craft knife was used to cut through the cupcake so that the single candle (cut with the ODBD Custom Birthday Candles Dies) could be inserted. The sentiment was cut with the ODBD Custom Celebrate and Wish Dies. The sprinkles, embossed areas of the candle, and the sentiment were highlighted with a clear glaze pen and two red gemstones were added. I will also be submitting this card to the Fan Club Central Theme since I used scoring on the white panel and since the candle is parallel to the rectangles.

Tropical Dream
Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, and Blushing Bride with the 'dessert' option of foliage. For my card, I used the following ODBD Custom Dies: Frangipani, Bitty Borders, Inspiration Words, and Pierced Rectangles. The light pink panel was dry embossed with striped embossing folder so that I may also submit this to the Fan Club Central Theme Challenge for November.

Woodland Serenity
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use wooden images, embossing folders, stencils, etc. For my quick card, I chose to combine the 'Wood Background' and 'Seek Me' stamp set, along with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. The Wood Background was inked in Crumb Cake, spritzed with water, then stamped onto white cardstock. The trees from 'Seek Me' were inked in Mossy Meadow and over-stamped onto the wood image. Three faux brads were punched out and added to the corner.

Our Daily Bread Designs December New Releases
Hi, everyone! Another month has flown by and it's time for another new release from Our Daily Bread designs! Check out all of the new stamps and die sets HERE, along with more samples and details on how to win some goodies!
Here are the ODBD products featured in my two projects for today:
My first card is a flip fold design. The card base was cut out of chocolate cardstock using the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Flip Fold with Layers Dies; the extra layers were cut out with hunter green and white using the ODBD Custom Double Pierced Vintage Labels Dies and coordinating ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Dies. The designer paper layers are from the ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2017. The stamps used are from the new 'Seek Me' set and the die cut accents were cut with the ODBD Custom Pinecones Dies. The first photo shows the front of the card when it is closed.
This is the open view which shows another scene and scripture on the back of the flip panel.
My next card also features the 'Seek Me' stamp set, ODBD Custom Double Pierced Vintage Labels Dies, and ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Dies. Both tree stamps from 'Seek Me' were used to create this scene, with the same ink, but stamped off for lighter shades. The 'Wood Background' was inked in moss green, stamped onto the card base, then spritzed with water and stamped onto a piece of recycled cardboard. The stamped cardboard layer was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. Linen thread and trees and the buck cut from the ODBD Custom Trees and Deer Dies were added as finishing touches.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
God bless!
