Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge is to incorporate apples into your project since Johnny Appleseed's birthday was this week. I was super excited when I discovered that Our Daily Bread designs new 'Seasons Change' image was the same scale as the 'Autumn Tree' set....woo hoo!!! The tree was stamped onto a panel cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, then the grass was sponged over a scratch paper mask. The clouds were sponged over a die cut cloud, cut with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies set. The wheelbarrow from 'Seasons Change' was stamped on a different piece of cardstock, then cut out with the ODBD Custom Wheelbarrow Die and popped up with foam tape over the rest of the scene, which was partially water-colored and partially colored with markers.

Golden Fall
Hi, everyone! My card today was super quick and easy to make....with no coloring! I used gold embossing powder on white for the image and sentiment from the 'A-Maize-ing' set by Our Daily Bread designs. Here are the dies from Our Daily Bread designs which I used: ODBD Custom Indian Corn Die, ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies, and ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The background panel was dry embossed with a fall-themed embossing folder then cut out with the rectangle die. Before adding the top layers, some Iridescent Gold Glimmer Mist was sprayed. Gold cording and gold brads were added for embellishments.

Grande Birthday!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Penni aka razldazl...congrats, Penni!!! I chose this beautiful card to case today because I love the curved border and layout. For my card, I started by choosing a pattern from the ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection, cut the fancy border with the ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Border Dies, then placed the cut piece into a die from the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies set. The sentiment is from 'I Love Coffee' and the coffee cup was cut from the ODBD Custom Beverage Cup Dies set. The tiny hearts were cut with the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies set. Some paper piercing was added to the curve since it looked a bit plain. I will also be submitting this card to the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Fly Like A......Turtle?!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the 'Digital Pencil Too' site....so many fun digi images there! I bought this cute turtle stamp from Hobby Lobby to make my nephew's birthday card (since he requested a turtle theme), but had no idea what I was going to do with it, UNTIL I saw this adorable digi set from the inspiration site! Making this card actually made me giddy!!! Three balloons were cut from the ODBD Custom Balloons and Streamers Dies set; the clouds were sponged over a template cut from the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies set; the sentiment is from an ODBD set, Keep Climbing, and was cut out with the ODBD Custom Ovals Dies set, matted with the ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies. The olive frame was dry embossed then cut out with two dies from the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. A clear glaze pen was used for the eyes and sections of the shell to make them shiny.

Sorry, I Frogot!
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge is to incorporate feet or toes into your project since it is National Hobbit day. Do froggie toes count?! :)
This is a card for my nephew.....when I mailed his birthday card a few weeks ago, I forgot to include birthday money.....oops!!!! I love this oldie but goodie set by Stampin Up, 'Unfrogettable'....I have used it sooooo many times over the years! As a matter of fact, you can see all of my creations with this set by clicking HERE! For the background of the scene, I used a scratch paper mask for sponging the ground and the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies to cut a template for sponging the clouds. The main panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. I also used masking to place the frog on the toadstool and to place the crown on his head.

Coffee Is Always A Good Idea!
Hi, everyone! I'm sure by now that ya'all have seen the gorgeous samples by my Sistah Sticks (ODBD Design Team Sisters), featuring the new ODBD Custom Surprise Box Die? If not, you can see them in the ODBD Gallery HERE! Anyhoo.....you know me, I'm always trying to "think outside of the box" (pun intended!) when it comes to new and different ways to use ODBD's dies and stamp sets. This is one of those times. If you look at the large die which cuts out the box and flaps, picture the box upside down with the flaps (trimmed down and) folded in to make an enclosed box. I used cardboard so that it would be sturdy for the coffee station at work.
Once the box was glued together, it was decorated with a pattern from the ODBD Vintage Ephemera Paper Collection, along with the ODBD Custom Bitty Borders Dies, ODBD Custom Circles and Pierced Circles Dies. The fun sentiment is from 'I Love Coffee'.
This little box, while a bit short for the stir sticks, will be sturdy enough not to get knocked over, unlike the paper cup which is being used presently.
Here is a close-up view of the sentiment panel......I agree with this statement 100%!!!!!!
Next time I play with the Surprise Box Die, I'm going to create some bookmarks with the two long sections. One day I will make an actual Surprise Box, but I'm not sure yet when that will be....hopefully soon since I haven't tried it yet!
Thanks for visiting!
God bless!

Favor From The Lord
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Gail aka mamaxsix....congrats, Gail!!!! Wow, what an immense and awesome gallery...nearly 2000 projects!!! It was very difficult to choose from so many wonderful cards, but when I saw this cool faux wood card, I knew it was the one! I usually stay away from messy techniques but I just had to give this a try...it was so much easier than I thought! My card is for a co-worker who loves hunting, so I used the Father's Day set by Our Daily Bread designs, along with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles, Pierced Squares Dies, and Pierced Ovals Dies. The 'faux wood' look was created by swiping two different brown ink pads across a piece of mustard cardstock, then the panel was die cut and the edges inked.

Golden Autumn Days
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Village Hat Shop......I fell in love with the fall colors in this Flores Rancher's Hat.....if I were a hat person, I would buy this one!!!! For my card, I have used the 'Seasons Change' set by Our Daily Bread designs along with the ODBD Custom Wheelbarrow Die to cut out the image. The grass layer was cut out with both the ODBD Custom Grass Hill Die and the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies set to shape the bottom. Since this month's Fan Club theme is book related, I created a subtle script background with the Ecclesiastes scripture stamp from the 'Randi's Song' set, then stamped the 'Sunflower Mini' to coordinate with the wheelbarrow image. Some black embroidery thread was added to mimic the band around the hat.

You Are Awesome!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the uber-talented Tracey Fehr....congrats, Tracey! I chose this beautiful card to case today because I loved the rectangle framing. Since I needed to make a birthday card for my nephew, I turned her feminine design into a masculine one. Instead of the bow in the corner, I used a word die and sentiment from the 'You Bless Me So' Stamp/Die Duos set by Our Daily Bread designs. The 'Hunting Buford' image is from ODBD's sister company, North Coast Creations. The framing was cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies from some cammo designer paper from my stash, I think it is from Making Memories. Buford was fussy cut and popped up over a background sponged over a template cut from the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies and the grass was cut with the ODBD Custom Grass Hill Die.

Letterpress Blessings
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from a Pinterest board focusing on letterpress.....I fell in love with the cheerful color and floral design of this wedding invitation. I inked up a floral embossing folder with retired Summer Sun ink, embossed on watercolor paper, then cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The word die, little flower, and sentiment are from the 'You Bless Me So' Stamp/Die Duos set. I chose watercolor paper since the stationery was textured; I chose this sentiment since the font type matched the stationery, and this was the closest color I could find to match. This was quick and fun....will have to try it in another color!

Altered Steno Notebook
Hi, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to include images of clocks in your project. This is a small steno pad which I decorated for my hubby a few years ago when he got a promotion at work. I never got around to posting it, so now is the 'time' (pun intended!). Though the images are very faint, there is a clock image from 'Time' inked in burgundy, 'stamped off' on scratch paper, then stamped directly onto the designer paper. The verse is from 'Scripture Series 2'; the 'Scrolly Borders' set has since been retired.

In Everything, Give Thanks
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast was perfect for inking up my new 'A-Maize-ing' stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs. The image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, cut out with the ODBD Custom Indian Corn Die, then I used a craft knife to cut out in between the bow strands. Some linen thread was used under the Indian Corn to create the suggestion of a wreath. The largest green panel was cut with the ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies, stamped with the ODBD 'Wood Background' stamp, edges sponged, then smaller rectangles layered to mimic a door. Though the features of the door and wreath are not detailed, the suggestion of door panels is there. I think I have fallen in love with this color combo and may create some Thanksgiving cards with the same color scheme.

Blessings, Count Them One By One
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Marg Mortimer aka Margscardcrazy....congrats, Marg!!! I love to look at the very beginnings of a person's gallery to see how they have evolved through the years....I was inspired by this beautiful card from her very first day of uploading! I used the same layout and colors, but instead of the bookplate hardware, I used a die cut word and sentiment from the Many Blessings Stamp/Die Duos set by Our Daily Bread designs. In place of the stamped flourish, I used a die cut flourish from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Dies set and added little flowers cut from the ODBD Custom Pretty Posies Dies set. The panels were cut out of Authentique papers using the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies and the butterfly was cut from the ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies Dies set. Some tiny green pearls were added to the flowers and a pearl flourish was added for a butterfly trail.

Our Daily Bread designs September New Releases!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the September New Release party for Our Daily Bread designs! If you haven't seen the whole enchilada yet, check out the full release HERE on the ODBD Blog! If you'd like a chance to win a gift certificate for ODBD, follow the instructions below:
Below are the new and previously released items from Our Daily Bread designs which are featured in my card and scrapbook layout today:
I know that one of the themes this month is coffee, but the moment I saw the ODBD Custom Beverage Cup Dies, I knew I HAD to make a chocolate chip cookie card!! (***Pssst...this is one of the most versatile ODBD die sets EVER!!!) The cookies were cut from caramel cardstock using the ODBD Custom Circles Dies, sponged on the edges, then many chocolate chips were die cut and adhered. The "bite mark" was cut with one edge of the scalloped heart in the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Dies set. The sentiment panel, stamped with a sentiment from 'Rise and Shine' was cut out with the ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies set; the caramel mat and plaid design (from the ODBD Ephemera Essentials Paper Collection) were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set. I created a five-layer button by cutting out five circles with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies set, glued the layers together, used a heavy duty hole punch, then coated the top with Glossy Accents. If you'd like to see a tutorial to make your own buttons, click HERE.
My second project is a 6x6 scrapbook layout. My hubby and I LOVE to cruise and this is a photo he took of me as I was enjoying a cuppa joe the morning that we came to port in Labadee, Haiti earlier this year. (Sorry about the poor photo quality but I was in the shade of our balcony.) I chose a fun pattern from the ODBD Nautical Paper Collection for the background, then pulled the red and tan from the pattern for the framing which was cut with the ODBD Custom Ovals, ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals and ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The banner letters were stamped with the 'Pennant Alphabet' set, trimmed by hand, sponged, then layered over the pennant cut with the ODBD Custom Pennant Row Dies. The awesome sentiment is from the 'Rise and Shine' set.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
God bless!
