Hi, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving!
This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to find inspiration from the Horchow site......I fell in love with the purple, green, and white color combo of these gorgeous table linens. This week's Queen for the Day is Beverly aka ruby-heartedmom.....congrats, Beverly!!!! Her gallery is full of so many cool techniques, so I decided to try the stained glass technique as she did on this beautiful card. I tried a single image as she did, but it didn't turn out well, so instead I used the Ornate Background stamp from Our Daily Bread designs (available December 1st). The background was stamped onto white vellum with versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder, then the entire underside was colored with a sponge dauber in light purple, then markers highlighted the ornate designs. The vellum panel was adhered to white cardstock using a Xyron Sticker Maker Machine, then matted, paper pierced and popped up with foam tape over light purple cardstock. Since this is a birthday card for a dear friend, I also added a sentiment from the "Ornate Borders Sentiments", stamped over the "Ornate Borders and Flowers" design, cut out with the custom "Ornate Borders and Flower Die Set" (all available Dec 1st). The leaves were cut out with the ODBD "Fancy Foliage" Die Set.
Thanks for visiting today! Don't forget.....Our Daily Bread designs has a huge sale going on right now, plus Blog Candy.....check out the details HERE!
Have a very blessed weekend!!!

The Wind in Your Hair, The Sun in Your Face
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the extremely talented Julie Dinn aka Stampinjewelsd...congrats, Julie!!! I chose this beautiful card from her gallery to recreate. I really liked the sponging, the layout, and the five brads under the sentiment. The set I chose is from North Coast Creations (Our Daily Bread designs' sister company), called "King of the Road". This is a birthday card for my dad....I'm a couple of weeks ahead of schedule....yay!!

A Look Back at the ODBD November New Release
Hi, everyone!! Today, we are looking back at the new stamps and dies which were released by Our Daily Bread designs on November 1st. For my sample today, I have used The Earth set, along with five different cutting dies from the new ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Die Set...can you find all of the dies I used from the set shown below?
I have included two different photos, since metallics are so difficult to photograph. The first photo shows how awesome the copper embossed earth image turned out, but the 2nd really shows off the copper mirror paper, from which the shapes were cut. I couldn't decided between the two photos, so I left them both! :)
For added copper effects, after stamping the earth on the white strip with blue ink, copper embossing powder was sprinkled over the panel and heated from the under side of the cardstock to melt it to the paper. Why heat the underside, you ask? Answer: so that the embossing powder would not blow off from the gust of the heat tool. Please click on one of the photos if you'd like to see a close up of the sprinkles.
If you'd like to see more samples from the November sets, please visit my designer sisters below (and leave some love too!)

Thankful Daisies!
Hello there! Today I would like to share a birthday card which I made for a dear friend.....this "Daisy" stamp from Our Daily Bread designs is my go-to stamp for so many cards....I love it!! After stamping the daisy image, I covered it with a mask (which I cut out from scratch paper), then sponged a soft purple around the outside edges to give it a bit of a glow. The rest was colored with markers. The sentiment is from "God Loves You" (retired set). Another fave of mine is the "ODBD Fence Die" ....I use it every chance I get! I will be submitting this card to the Central Theme "Gratitude" Challenge...a Fan Club Members Only challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

The Lord is my Shepherd
Hello!! Today I would like to share a sympathy card which I made using the Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoast. This week's Featured Stamper is Susan Conrad aka One4Joy.....congrats, Susan! Susan's creations have brought a smile to my face for many years......her "quirky" and "artsy" style is so creative and fun. After taking a long cruise through her gallery, I chose this beautiful card to re-create. I used the same layout, but used different dies and added pearls. The image and scripture verse are from "The Shepherd" and the card base was stamped with the "Vine Background", both by Our Daily Bread designs.
Thanks again for visiting!

Wonderful Razzleberry World!
Hi, everyone! This week's Queen for the Day is Susie Nelson....congrats, Susie!!! Her gallery at Splitcoast is chock full of beautiful cards! I finally decided on this gorgeous card to re-create.....I loved the stamped background and general layout of this card. The stamped background on my card is the "Vintage Pattern Mini 2" Background stamp and the sentiment is from "The Earth", both by Our Daily Bread designs. The ivory sentiment panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Antique Labels and Border die set; the razzleberry mat was cut by hand after tracing the outside edge of the same die. The razzleberry ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy.

CAS Beautiful Wishes
Hello there! Happy Saturday!! I sooooo love Saturdays.....not just because I don't have to go to work, but I LOVE to play along with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast each week. This week, we are to choose a photo from a Japanese blog, Nunu's House, about miniature houses and their decorations.....wow, talk about artwork!! I chose this pink cake with white flowers. I love this Sizzix embossing folder because it makes Clean and Simple cards so quick and easy! The pink cardstock was embossed with the folder, then the flowers and stems were colored with an SU Chalk Pen. I was going to add some white ribbon, but decided that the pearls and paper piercing were the only embellishments needed. The sentiment is from the Our Daily Bread designs "Sentiments Collection 2" set, heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Thanks for visiting with me today!
Have a beautiful weekend!!

Serenity Birthday
Hi, everyone! This is a birthday card for my brother, who loves to fish. I have used three challenges in the making of this card. This week's Shining the Light Challenge over at Our Daily Bread designs is the awesome sketch to the left of this paragraph....this was very fun....and pretty quick too!! Also, over at Splitcoast Stampers, the Color Challenge this week was a buffet of aquas and gray....I chose to combine Smoky Slate with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Island Indigo....my dessert option was "thumping" technique.....the background and image stamp were both inked with an ink pad, then "thumped" with colored markers to give a variation in color. The background worked well, but the technique on the image was not very visible since the colors used were similar. Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge is to create a birthday card.....no problem, my brother's birthday is Sunday, so now I'm ahead of schedule....yay!!!
The background is the "Fishing Net Background" stamp and the image and sentiment are from "The Waves on the Sea", both sets are by Our Daily Bread designs.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a very blessed weekend!!

You Take The Cake!!
Happy Saturday, everyone!! I LOVE having a Saturday with no plans.....that means I get to spend at least a couple of hours in my stamp room....yay!!!! Stamping is priority #1.....housework will have to wait on me! :)
Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose an item from this Pinterest page.....I was inspired by these gorgeous foliage covered votives. I've been wanting to make a birthday card with this bear for a while, but did not have a clear vision until today. The design of the card comes from this week's Queen For The Day, Dara.....congrats, Dara!!! I saw this beautiful card in her fabulous gallery and knew it would be a perfect layout to use.
All of the paper and stamps are from Stampin Up....rare for me since I usually use all ODBD, but I had to go back to my roots and go with SU! The adorable bear is from "Under the Stars", the cake is from "Simply Sweet", the trees are from "Wide Open Spaces", and the sentiment is from "Sassy Sayings 2".

God's Blessings To You
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a birthday card I made a couple of months ago for a co-worker, but am just now posting. The design came about from a Technique Lover's Challenge over at Splitcoast, which was to create an angled background. I chose two patterns from an Authentique 6x6 pad, stamped a sentiment from Mini Tags 3 by Our Daily Bread designs onto the neutral piece, added paper piercing and some denim ribbon. This was very quick and very simple to do.....I love when that happens!! :)
Thanks so much for visiting with me today!

Hello My Friend!
Hi, everyone!! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is Old Olive, Calypso Coral, and Real Red. On a white panel, I sponged red, coral, and olive over a silhouette mask (Prima Co.). The CAS (Clean and Simple) Challenge this week is stitching/faux stitching, so I paper pierced the edges and used the Faux Stitching technique by connecting the pierced holes with a white chalk marker. The silhouette was spritzed in olive by using my Air Art Tool and an olive marker. The sentiment is from "Sentiments Collection 2" by Our Daily Bread designs. Olive pearls were added as the only embellishment. I made this card in about 25 minutes....yay, another record for me!!

You Mean the World to Me!
Hello, everyone! This week's Queen for the Day over at Splitcoast is Ruth aka RDey.....congrats, Ruth!!! After taking a long cruise through her wonderful gallery, I chose this beautiful card to recreate, using the "Vintage Pattern Mini 1" Background stamp and sentiment from "The Earth", both from Our Daily Bread designs. The photo looks like black and white, but the ink and cardstock are navy blue. I will also be submitting this to the CAS-ual Friday "Embossing" Challenge.
In case you haven't seen it yet, there is another fabulous sale this week over at Our Daily Bread designs.....check out the sale items and details HERE!

The Whole Earth is Full of His Glory!
Hello!! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Kristine aka stampwithkristine......big congrats!!! What a fabulous gallery!! I finally decided on this beautiful card. When I saw Kristine's card, I immediately thought about "The Earth" from Our Daily Bread designs.....I stamped the earth image three times on SU Naturals Ivory cardstock, used a square punch to cut out three different portions, then sponged them in Marina Mist ink, and matted each in blue and black. The only embellishment is black metal brads....I did not add my trademark paper piercing since the clean lines looked good to me without it for once!
Thanks for stopping by today! I love when you visit!!

ODBD Steampunk Wedding Card
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a Steampunk style wedding card I made for my step-brother and his new wife. This may not be 100% Steampunk, but it's as close as I could get with the supplies I had on hand! I will be submitting this to today's "Charm City Cakes" Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers......I chose the "Bohemian" cake fourth row down, far right....sorry, no way to link it directly. I will also submit this to the Our Creative Corner Challenge, which is Steampunk TicTacToe...I used the gears/texture/transport (birds) option. The Word Art Wednesday blog has an "Anything Goes" Challenge this week, plus Stampin' Royalty has an "Anything Goes" Challenge, so I will gladly submit to those as well!
The birdcage from the Our Daily Bread designs "To The Lovebirds" set and the banner from "Banner Sentiments" were both heat embossed in copper, then cut out with the ODBD Custom "Birdcage and Banner Dies" Set. (Two sets of the little birds were cut from the same die set.) I made two of the birdcages also....since the hinge opens, I wanted the same view from the inside (as shown in the 3rd photo). The red mats for the birdcage and banner were cut by hand.
I used the same birdcage die to cut out the scripture panel, which was lined up directly with the closed birdcage. The scripture is from the ODBD "Love Scriptures" set. The gears on the right are by Tim Holtz, but the rest of hardware is from various companies.....stuff I've had in my stash for a long time. Some of the items did not match, so I colored them with a copper metallic pen. The designer paper is Basic Grey "Curio", the rose ribbon is Stampin Up and the crocheted lace was an RAK from my Design Team Sister, Sabrina.....Mwaaah to you, Sabrina girl!!!
I had one gear left, so I decided to use it on the inside, with two little punched hearts inside it. The sentiment is from the ODBD set, "Love One Another".
Thanks for visiting with me today!

My first sample is a 6x6 scrapbook page of my hubby a few weeks ago when we were on vacation in Frankenmuth, Michigan. Talk about perfect timing for this month's stamps......woo hoo!!! The earth image and sentiment (which I cut apart after stamping) are from the new "The Earth" set. The earth image was colored "direct to stamp" with markers in rust and blue, then stamped on vanilla cardstock and cut out with the "ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Die Set". Paper Piercing, then faux stitching (with a marker) were added to add interest without a lot of embellishments. The designer paper is from Authentique. I will be submitting this page to the ODBD Shining the Light "No Ribbon or Lace" Challenge for this week.
My next sample features the "Earth Verses" set, which coordinates with "The Earth". Since I had already used the earth image twice, I decided to use this beautiful map pattern/designer paper from SEI "Promise Me" along with this awesome verse and some frilly details. The border and sentiment panel were both cut out using the "ODBD Custom Antique Label and Border Die Set". The sentiment panel was stamped in pink with one of the new background stamps, "Vintage Pattern Mini 2", overstamped with the scripture verse, then sponged, adhered to the mat, paper pierced by hand, then popped up with foam tape onto the card.
This is a sneak peek which I shared earlier in the week, using the "The Earth" set along with the "Vintage Pattern Mini 1" Background stamp.
This was also a sneak peek, featuring "Vintage Pattern Mini 1" Background, "Earth Verses", and the ODBD "Christmas Paper Collection 2013".
Thanks for hanging out with me and "the Breadsticks" today!
