Hi, everyone! It's time for another Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast!! I used two of my older Stampin Up sets, Art of Life and Small Script, along with a floral pattern from the Petal Promenade paper pack. The flower was colored with markers direct onto the stamp, then huffed to moisten the ink before stamping onto white cardstock. All of the papers were cut the old-fashioned way, with a paper trimmer and scissors.....no dies for this one!! Linen thread and three peach pearls were added for embellishments. This will go into my birthday stash...yay!

God's Glory
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create a CAS card with a sailing theme. I made this card in under 15 minute using a piece of designer paper from the 'Landscapes' Paper Pad, sentiment from 'Happy Trails', and the following die sets: A2 Portrait Card with Layer, Pierced Frames, Sentiment Strips with Layers, and the sailboat from 'Park Silhouettes'. Note: most of these items are from the April Blessings Box subscription from Divinity Designs LLC.

Thanks Berry Much!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Cathy McCauley aka cathymac.....congrats, Cathy!! Wow, what an IMMENSE gallery.....it took me a long while to choose a card to case, but finally decided on this beauty! For my card, I chose the 'Raspberries' set from Divinity Designs LLC, along with the following items: Rustic Beauty Paper Collection, Fence Die, Slimline Grasses Die, Pierced Rectangles Dies, Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, Double Stitched Circles Dies, Circles Dies, Matting Rectangle Die, and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Die. The image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black, colored with markers, then cut a scratch paper mask and sponged the yellow and aqua background while the panel was still in the die. Before removing the mask, some matching splatters were added to the background as in Cathy's card. The fence, grassline, gems, and sentiment panel were added at the last. (Note: the Raspberries set and Slimline Grasses Dies will be released on July 1st.)

Sand and Surf Vacation Shirt
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways to Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'Sand and Surf'. For my card, I began by creating a Wrinkle Free Distress (or 'Smoosh') panel with two shades of brown and two shades of aqua. (Simply swipe ink pads onto a craft sheet, spritz with water, then smoosh your paper into the ink.) After the panel was dry, it was cut out with the 'Everyday Shirt' Dies by Divinity Designs LLC, stamped with the 'Footsteps' Stamp/Die Duos set, and adhered to the card base cut out with the 'Couture Collection' Dies. This was so fun to make...and easy too! The toughest part was handling the tiny, tiny buttons!! :)

Ray of Sunshine
Hi, everyone! I had a blast creating this CAS card for the Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast! It took me a while to decide what the corner element to the sketch would be and then I saw the 'Hello Sunshine' set by Divinity Designs LLC. The sun image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto a white panel cut out with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set. I kept the panel inside the die while all of the sponging was done, to keep the white border. The clouds were sponged over a template cut with the Clouds and Raindrops Dies. The sentiment was stamped, yellow baker's twine was added, then the sun was embellished with a glitter pen.

Sailboat Sunset
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Patti aka pspapercrafts....congrats, Patti!!! I actually chose features of two different cards since they both spoke to me.....loved the rippled water and boat theme of this beautiful card and fell in love with this cute card because of the layered framing. For my card, I chose a pattern from the Landscapes Paper Pad (by Divinity Designs LLC), die cut the outer frame with the Pierced Frames Dies and then used the Pierced Rectangles to cut the center panel. The scripture from 'Lovely Day' was stamped directly on the designer paper; the sailboat (cut with the Park Silhouettes Dies) and the tree (cut with the Cowboys and Cactus Silhouettes Dies) were added to embellish the scene. The black card base was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set.

Bazinga Ball Pit Treat Box
Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast (Red, Blue, Green and a 'dessert' option of yellow) was absolutely perfect for a gift I wanted to make for a co-worker who LOVES The Big Bang Theory tv show. The color challenge colors are the same colors as Sheldon's robe in the famous ball-pit scene and the 'dessert' option of yellow was perfect for the Bazinga sentiment. For the box, I used the Splitcoast tutorial for the '3x3 Note Card Box'...I have used this tutorial many times, but this time I cut a square out of the lid and adhered a sheet of acetate to the inside. The plaid paper is from the 'Boho Bolds' Paper Collection by Divinity Designs LLC and the following dies used are also from DD: Alphabet Caps, Double Stitched Squares, and Squares.

Celebrate Life
Hi, everyone! It's time for a new Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast!! I've been having fun digging into my older Stampin Up sets.....some of them haven't seen ink in over a decade. The image I have used for this card is from 'Feathered Hope' and the sentiment is from 'So Many Sayings'. I'm in love with Lemon Lime Twist plus I'm gaga over gingham, so I used a piece from the Gingham Gala paper pack. The image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black, partially watercolored, partially colored with markers, and the sky was sponged. The sentiment and mat were punched with the Word Window punch. Coral baker's twine was used to match the coral ribbon in the image and some irridescent sequins were used as a finishing touch.

Father's Day Tropical Shirt
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Kawaii Pen Shop....I chose this tropical planner to help me with one of my Father's Days cards for next week. I think my Father-in-law will get a kick out of it since we have just booked a family cruise for next spring. The card base was cut with the Couture Collection Dies set and the rest was cut with the Everyday Shirt Dies set; the fun paper is from the 'Cool and Casual' Paper Pad (all items are from Divinity Designs LLC). For the inside panel, I traced the inside lines of the card base die and cut it with a paper trimmer and scissors....a perfect mat! This whole card was quick and easy to make.....I am so grateful for all of the fun cutting dies these days...no more creating things from scratch like we used to....well, not as much, anyway! :)

Spring Garden
Hi, everyone! It's time for another new Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast!! This week's layout has so many possibilities, but I'm happy when I'm able to make a quick, clean and simple card! For my card, I chose one of the first Stampin Up stamps set I ever bought, Spring Garden, plus the following dies from Divinity Designs LLC: Double Stitched Rectangles, Double Stitched Ovals, Ovals, and Clouds and Raindrops (cloud stencil). This was a quick and easy card....simple stamping and simple die cutting. The fanciest thing about it is the butterfly, on which I used the 'Rock and Roll' technique to highlight the colors of the wings.

CAS Mother's Day Card
Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast matched this card so perfectly that I am "challenge cheating" once again and posting for the challenge. I used the same stamps as this card, Stampin Up 'Pressed Flowers' and 'All Year Cheer II', but with different colors. The flowers were colored with markers, then stamped onto a white card base (after some huffing). A small strip of marigold paper was added to the top instead of ribbon.

Deer Silhouette Sunset
Hi, everyone! It's time for another new Sketch Challenge over at SplitcoastStampers!! I definitely stretched the boundaries on this one and used images instead of the circles plus three rows of layered hills in place of the three strips. The stamps I used are from 'Deer Silhouettes' by Divinity Designs LLC. This is a definite go-to set when I need a quick masculine card. The background panel was sponged, stamped, then cut out with a Double Stitched Rectangle Die. The card base was cut out with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set, then stamped with the Wood Background stamp. Six strands of black embroidery thread were used to tie around the card front and make a bow. Yeah, I know, bows aren't very masculine, but I just couldn't get a knot to look right, so I gave up and gave in to a bow! :)
