Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Chrysi aka knoxville8625....congrats, Chrysi!!! I chose this beautiful card for the gorgeous colors and clean framed layout. My little niece, Paxton, loves llamas so I used the 'Llama Tell You' set from Divinity Designs LLC for her birthday card. I am remiss that I didn't add a black mat, but I'm not deconstructing it now! :) The Pool Party card base was swiped with a Pool Party ink pad, creating a faux wood look....the color on color came out very close to Chrysi's Coastal Cabana card base. The llama was stamped onto a white panel cut out with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, then the background was sponged while the panel was still in the die (in order to maintain the white border.) Since the image panel looked a bit plain, I added a fence cut with the Farm Fence Die and the sentiment was stamped on and matted with the Sentiment Strips with Layers Dies (from the April Blessings Box). Two matching gemstones were added as a simple embellishment.

Divinity Designs LLC May New Release
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the new release party for Divinity Designs LLC!!! It's another super fun, creative release.....check out all of the new products HERE, plus designer samples and info on how you can win some goodies!!
Here are the products I've used in my two new samples for today plus the sneak peek from earlier this week:
My first card features the new 'Everyday Shirt' Dies set, the new 'Cool and Casual' Paper Pad, part of the exclamation point from the new 'Alphabet Caps' Dies, and some previously released dies: Couture Collection, Pierced Circles, and Sparkling Stars. When I saw the southwestern paper pattern, I knew I wanted to create a shirt with a bolo tie....the circle and star was easy but it took me a while to figure out what to use for the tie ends which are usually metal......until I looked on my desk and saw the exclamation point in the new alphabet set!!! Perfect shape and size...yay!!!
For my next card, I began by creating a Wrinkle Free Distress (or "smoosh") panel by smudging two aqua and two brown inks on a craft sheet, spritzed some water, then mopped up the color with a piece of watercolor paper (you can also used regular cardstock). Once dry, the panel was cut out with a Pierced Rectangle Die, then stamped with the 'Footsteps' Stamp/Die Duos set. I wanted the footsteps to be inset, so I cut out the foot prints with the custom die and set them aside. Several layers of cardstock were layered behind the panel and the die was used to cut the layers through the same openings. The panel was adhered to the white mat which was cut with the Matting Rectangle, then the foot prints were sponged a little darker and adhered into the die cut openings. The turquoise card was cut out with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies. For the finishing touches, some linen thread was added, along with some shrink plastic foot prints which were stamped with Stazon Timber Brown, cut out with the die, then heated with a heat gun to shrink.
Some of you may have seen this card a few days ago....it was a sneak peek of the Alphabet Caps Dies and a tropical pattern from the 'Cool and Casual' Paper Pad. If you'd like to read more about how it was created, click HERE.

Relaxin' in the Tropics!
Hi, everyone! It's time for a new Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast! Plus, you're getting a sneak peek of the 'Cool and Casual' Paper Pad and 'Alphabet Caps' Dies from Divinity Designs LLC! When I saw this week's sketch, I wasn't sure how to tackle it....paper strips, stenciling, die cuts? I decided to go with the tedious route and started with a rectangle and then cut each opening with a single square die. It took a few minutes to die cut all of the squares, but it was not difficult. Once the frame was all cut out, it was popped up with foam tape over a tropical pattern from the 'Cool and Casual' Paper Pad, then embellished with the Hibiscus Dies set, Tropical Leaves Dies, and Alphabet Caps Dies in place of the sentiment strip. Other dies used: Pierced Rectangles, Matting Rectangle, and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies.
Thanks once again for stopping by! Stay tuned....the May release for Divinity Designs LLC will be revealed on Friday, the 29th!

Cowboy Sunset
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Chris aka fargets...congrats, Chris! I cannot resist a good sunset, so I chose this awesome card to case (copy and share everything) from her gallery. Instead of sponging my background this time, I used an awesome print from the Landscapes Paper Pad (from Divinity Designs LLC) and paired it with stamps and dies from the April Blessings Box: Happy Trails (clear stamps), Cowboys and Cactus Silhouettes, Pierced Frames; and the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set.

Peaceful Park Sympathy
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from 'A Cottage in the City'....unfortunately I needed to make a sympathy card and this Town Square Bench led me to creating a peaceful park scene with items from Divinity Designs LLC. The background was sponged with dye inks and sponge daubers, then cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies; the bench, bird, lawn, and tree (the tree leaves were also used as a shrub) are from the April Blessings Box. Additional dies used: Matting Rectangle and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer.

Happy Mother's Day
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways to Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create a one layer card. The challenge police may come after me since I already made this card, but had not posted it yet. I used the 'Pressed Flowers' and sentiment from (unknown name), both from Stampin Up. For the flowers, I used markers direct-to-stamp, starting with Daffodil Delight in the center, Lovely Lilac on the leaves, Brilliant Blue to highlight the petals, then Old Olive for the greenery. It took a little bit to do this multiple times, but I love how it turned out and I ended up with NO smudges.....a miracle! :)

Dump Truck Birthday
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge #802 over at Splitcoast was super fun! I needed a birthday card for my nephew who just turned four and he LOVES any kind of heavy equipment or trucks. When I saw the 'caution tape' stamp in the 'Dump Truck Birthday' set from Divinity Designs LLC, I knew this was the right set for the sketch layout! I began by cutting out the background panel with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, the bottom layer with the Matting Rectangle Die, and the card base with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies. The caution tape was stamped at an angle, then cut out with a paper trimmer. Once the strip was cut, I trimmed a bit more from each side so that there would be separation of the sections. The background was sponged over scratch paper masks for the dirt and the Clouds and Raindrops Dies for the clouds; the dump truck was stamped, fussy cut, colored with markers, then popped up with foam tape. Four balloons (for birthday #4) were cut out with the 'Happy Birthday' Dies set and popped up with foam tape after adding baker's twine.

Inspired by Beauty and the Beast
Hi, everyone! One of my great nieces is obsessed with red roses right now because of Beauty and the Beast, so I used what I had on hand to create a themed birthday card for her. This week's Sketch Challenge #801 over at Splitcoast provided the most perfect layout! I began by stamping the triple rose image from the 'Rose' stamp set (retired) from Divinity Designs LLC, then fussy cut a single rose, an extra leaf, and an extra rose petal in order to balance the image. The sentiment is from the 'Beauty' stamp set. The sentiment, background, and image panels were cut with the Pierced Rectangles Dies; the frame was cut with the 'Lavish Layers' Dies; the white mat was cut with the Matting Rectangle Die, the card base was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies; the yellow panel was dry embossed with the 'Flourishes' embossing folder. Red grosgrain ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy for the finishing touch.

Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast has sunset written all over it!! Sunset scenes are so fun to create! I began by sponging/blending pink, orange, and yellow inks onto a white panel and then die cut the Pierced Frames and western scene out of black. All of the stamps and dies are from the April Blessings Box collection from Divinity Designs LLC. Some of the layers are popped up with foam tape for dimension. This card is for my niece's 18th birthday.

Mother's Day Hibiscus
Hi, everyone! It's been a few years, but I am proud to be part of the Sketch Challenge team over at SplitcoastStampers again!! This week's sketch is number 800....wow!! If you are a member at Splitcoast and submit a card for the challenge, you could win some cards and other goodies from the Sketch Team, including my card shown here!
When I saw this week's sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Delicate Doily Die and 'Great Faith' Stamp/Die Duo set from Divinity Designs. After visiting Hawaii twice back in the 90's, tropical flowers just melt me into a big puddle and I'm so in love with this stamp set!! The hibiscus flowers were stamped with Stazon Jet Black, water-colored with several colors of orange and pink, then highlighted with markers. I used a circle die to cut out the center of the doilies. The 'Mother' sentiment was cut out three times with the 'Family Names 1' Dies set; the background was embossed with the Flourishes Embossing Folder and cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies set.
