God's Neverending Love
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Hideko Lagan aka PapercraftBoutique....congrats, Hideko! What an amazing gallery! I fell in love with this gorgeous card! Unfortunately, I do not have any watercolor paper, but I did my best to recreate her design using the 'Dahlia' stamp and sentiment from the 'Fragrance' set, both by Our Daily Bread designs. The dahlia was white embossed on a white panel cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, sponged with two shades of pink, then adhered to the white card base. Instead of a sequin, I added three tiny pink pearls.

My Light and Salvation
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is a former design team sister of mine from Our Daily Bread designs, super talented DJ Rants.....congrats, DJ!!!! I chose this awesome masculine card to case....I loved the offset panels and the large fish design element in the corner. To conserve on paper, I don't make square cards often these days, so I changed her design to an A2. To keep my card flat for mailing, I decided to leave off the ribbon. This is a birthday card for one of my nephews. The lighthouse image from 'Light of the World' was inked in navy, 'stamped off', then stamped onto a white panel cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The scripture verse was stamped in red over the image after the panel was sponged with kraft ink. The anchor from the 'You Anchor Me' Stamp/Die Duos set was die cut from kraft and stenciled in red. The nautical designer paper is from the ODBD Nautical Paper Collection.

Tea Bag Art Inspiration
Happy Saturday!!! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Tea Bag Art board on Pinterest. I thought that this tea bag with the white lilies was so cool and I loved the cocoa colored background. I dug into my stash of Close to Cocoa cardstock (which has been retired for quite a few years) for my card base. The small sentiments from 'To My Favorite', from Our Daily Bread designs, were stamped directly to the card base. The 'Stargazer Lily' image from the 'Beauty' set (also from ODBD) was stamped with Versamark on the card and then stamped onto the white tag with Stazon Jet Black, highlighted with markers, then coated with a clear glaze pen (to act as a resist). Cocoa, rust, and light tan inks were sponged around the image and on the edges of the tag, then water was spritzed over it to mottle the inks a bit. Since I didn't have any fancy colored staples, I used Stazon Timber Brown ink to stain a regular staple stack before placing them back inside the stapler. I did not have white string to mimic the tea bag string, so I used linen thread instead. I will also be submitting this card to the Friday FreeAll Floral Challenge and the ODBD Shining the Light Challenge, which is 'Anything Goes with ODBD Stamps'.

Our Daily Bread designs 9th Anniversary New Release!
Hi, everyone!! Welcome to the 9th Anniversary Blog Hop for Our Daily Bread designs! Wow, nine years!!! I literally jumped for joy when Kelley asked me to be on the design team way back in the fall of 2008 and I am so blessed to still be a part of such an amazing company! Thanks, ODBD!!!
This year's anniversary release is short and sweet, and badly needed!!! The awesome new ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies and super versatile "Celebration" set can be used for sooooo many different combinations and any occasion you can think of!!!!
If you'd like a chance to win some ODBD goodies, please follow the instructions below:
* Sandy * Cathy * Angie (me!) * Lisa * Robin * Julie * * Kathy * Dawn * Grace * Lori * Chris * Helen *
Here are the products featured in my two cards today:
First up is a birthday card for my Mom, who loves blended red and yellow tulips. I knew I wanted to make a '29 again' card since it wouldn't be polite to advertise the real number! :) The numbers from the ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies were cut from white and stenciled with yellow to match the background panel which was cut with the ODBD Custom Circle Scalloped Rectangles Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The image from 'Tulips' was stamped in black, cut out with the ODBD Custom Tulip Die, colored with markers, then popped up with foam tape. The sentiment panel was cut with the smallest die from the ODBD Custom Circle Scalloped Rectangles, but was 're-sized' to make it shorter so that the 'again' sentiment from 'Celebration' would fit perfectly. (To resize this die, it was only cut half way the first round, then flipped around and re-positioned so that the scalloped matched, then cut half way on the other end.)
My next card was created for my hubby for our 25th anniversary coming up (good thing he doesn't read my blog!!) I chose the new Artistic Outpost Vagabond Treasures Paper Collection for both the background and for the numbers, since it was "manly"! The numbers were cut out of the designer paper with the ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies, then matted with kraft cardstock. To create the perfect mats for the numbers, I traced the outlines of the dies onto the cardstock and cut out with scissors. Since there are no dramatic curves, this was very simple to do. The sentiments from 'Celebration' were stamped onto panels cut from the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies. The gears were cut out of rust and kraft with the ODBD Custom Steampunk Gears Dies for embellishments and both rectangle panels were cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. I love how all of the piercing coordinates!
Thank you for helping us to celebrate!!!!
God bless!

Howdy / Masking Tape Technique
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Linda aka bubblestx4....congrats, Linda!!! I loved so many awesome cards from Linda's gallery, but I finally decided on this intriguing card....such a cool idea with the inked masking tape! I have quite a few masculine cards to make this week, so this was a perfect choice! I started by cutting a piece of scratch paper, tore it at an angle, then adhered torn pieces of masking tape over it. Before adhering the back of the scratch paper to the card base, rust and brown inks were sponged over it, which darkened the edges of the tape. I chose the 'Howdy' set by Our Daily Bread designs since I did not have a skull image like on Linda's card. On a panel cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies (matted with the ODBD Custom Circles Dies), the image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then sponged with Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight.

Grateful
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from the Crane and Co website......I gasped when I saw this gorgeous embossed note card....one of my favorite colors! (My first craft room was painted this color!!) Though I do not have an embossing folder with orchids, I used Almost Amethyst cardstock (retired from SU) with a floral embossing folder. The sentiment is from 'Small Script', also from SU.

Love Endures All Things
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Lyn Tomlin aka Rebeccaof.....congrats, Lyn! I chose this beautiful card to case today because I loved the angled design of the background designer paper and button embellishment. I decided to color up one of the new patterns from the 'God's Blessings Coloring Pages' pack from Our Daily Bread designs (using this week's Color Challenge 624 colors), so I had to flip Lyn's layout to the side to make it work. Since I'm too chicken to add real stitching to my cards, I used the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies to give the designer paper panel (both are from the ODBD Birthday Brights Paper Collection) a finished edge.

Inspired Grunge Butterfly
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Moleskine Pinterest board. I chose this gorgeous journal art as inspiration for my 10-minute card. (Well, actually 15 minutes but it took 5 to find this stamp set from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'God's Love', which is retired now.) The grunge butterly image was inked with Not Quite Navy, then spritzed with water before stamping. The butterfly outline was stamped in black for definition. Once the quote was stamped, the panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies and adhered to a white card base. I chose not to add any embellishments so that it will mail easily.
