Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Carolyn aka snowmanqueen...congrats, Carolyn!!! Wow, so many gorgeous projects to choose from....I eventually came back to this beautiful card.....such a fun layout! Instead of a Christmas tree, I used the ODBD Custom Layering Hearts Dies set to cut out a heart from the ODBD Heart and Soul Paper Collection. While the heart was still inside the die, I used a black journaling pen to add 'faux stitching'. The pennant was cut out of a burgundy piece from the ODBD Old Glory Paper Collection using the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies set. As with Carolyn's card, I added faux stitching around a rectangle. The sentiment is from 'To My Favorite'. The tiny hearts were cut out with the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies set. I had trouble with the twine....couldn't get the same look as Carolyn's card, so I opted for three loops on each side instead of two.
Thanks for visiting!

Inspired Irises
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Threadless site.....I chose this cool photo for my inspiration. The purple and white reminded me of a pattern from the ODBD Whimsical Wildflowers Paper Collection. My card is for a co-worker's birthday.....she loves purple irises, so this worked out great! The image from 'Iris', also from ODBD, was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then watercolored. The image panel and designer paper were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, the sentiment panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies, and the butterfly was cut out with the ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies Dies. Satin ribbon (bow tied with a Bow Easy) and three pearls were added as embellishments.

Happy Birthday, Cowboy!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Lynne Jardine aka Ruby-dooby-doo....congrats, Lynne! I chose this super cute card to case today because I loved the layout and doodling around the edges. I changed the stamps and colors since I needed some masculine birthday cards for this month, but kept the layout and doodling. I loved this layout so much that I made five identical cards! The cowboy image from 'Ride 'Em Cowboy' was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then the background was colored with sponges and ink using masking and reverse masking. The following dies were used as well: ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies, and the ODBD Custom Circles Dies. The three 'faux brads' were created with a hole punch.

A Happy Hello!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Oh So Beautiful Paper site.....I loved the color combo and cool die cut design of this ensemble. For my card, the designer paper from ODBD 'Whimsical Wildflowers Paper Collection' and a white panel were both cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The white panel was then cut with the ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Borders Dies, sponge with yellow, then the image from 'A Happy Hello' was stamped in eggplant and highlighted with markers. The sentiment was cut out with the ODBD Custom Ornate Ovals Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Ovals Dies. This card took about twenty minutes to create.....yay!!! I will also be submitting this to the ODBD Shining the Light Challenge, which is a color challenge this month.

A Look Back at the ODBD January New Release
Hi, everyone! Today we are re-visiting this month's awesome releases from Our Daily Bread designs. This has been a super fun release to work with all month! Here are the new and previously released goodies which are featured in my two projects for today's post:
My first project for today is a card which features the new Bible Journaling stamp, 'His Timing'. Since I do not have a journaling Bible yet, I'm enjoying creating bookmarks and cards from these awesome stamps! I paired this stamp with the cool new ODBD Custom Steampunk Gears Dies since they fit the theme of the vintage clocks. I cut several gears out of scratch paper, glued the edges together and made my own stencil in order to sponge the background panel (cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies). Then, more gears were cut out of black and copper to place inside the frame cut out with the ODBD Custom Lavish Layers Dies. The gear dies were introduced last week along with the Artistic Outpost new releases. (Psst.....some of you may not know, but Our Daily Bread designs, North Coast Creations, and Artistic Outpost are sister companies. You can order from all three companies in one store, with only one shipping charge....check them out HERE!)
My second project is a "cookie basket" created with the ODBD Custom Bountiful Basket Dies. These little baskets are so fun and easy to make.....you can stamp them, use designer paper, or leave them plain....there are so many ways to decorate them!!! Since I had fresh toll-house cookies for my basket, I chose to use the 'Baking Tag Sentiments' (cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies), the Gingham Background stamp for the layers, and red brads to match the heart on the sentiment.
Please visit the ODBD Blog and my Designer Sisters' blogs for more inspiration:

Warm Congratulations
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast is called 'Warm Up!'....this may be stretching it a bit, but how about warm colors and paper that looks like a flannel shirt? I LOVE flannel....I have several 'girly' flannel shirts that I wear in the winter, even at work! For my card I chose a pattern from the ODBD Old Glory Paper Collection, the ODBD Custom Congratulations Die, ODBD Custom Steampunk Gears Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, and the curves were cut with the ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Borders Dies. The word die is usually straight but it was flexible enough to curve....I glued down a few letters at a time in order to get the right spacing.

Thoughts Of You
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Twila Davis aka tjdstampsalot.....congrats, Twila!!! I chose this stunning card for inspiration today to help me create a card for a co-worker who is retiring due to health issues. Since my co-worker's fave color is purple, I changed Twila's blue theme to purple, changed the stamps and designer paper, but kept the awesome layout. The roses from 'Rose Bouquet' were stamped on white, fussy cut, colored with markers, then popped up with foam tape over a strip of designer paper from the ODBD Christian Faith Paper Collection. Both the top white panel and designer paper were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies (the same die was used for both....the strip was cut using the die-resizing technique.) Three tiny pearls and a white bow were added for embellishments.

Under His Wings
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the 'Altered Diaries' Etsy site.......I thought that this journal was very cool and it reminded me of one of the new Bible Journaling stamps from Our Daily Bread designs, 'Find Refuge'. After my card was finished, I realized that I should have used banana cardstock instead of ivory for a better match to the inspiration photo, but what's done is done! :) Since the journaling stamp is 5-1/4 tall, there was not room to put designer paper at the top and bottom, so I put the strips down each side instead. The designer paper is from the ODBD Vintage Ephemera Paper Collection; the feathers were watercolored to coordinate with the paper. Some baker's twine was added to mimic book binding.

Hi, everyone!
Thanks so much to Chrisd, Maxine, and Robyn, for commenting on last week's "How To Create a Bookmark with Any Die" post! I have a craft room FULL of crafting supplies (and lots of hand-made cards), so I would like to reward all three of you! Maxine and Robyn, I have your addresses already, but Chrisd, please send me an email to angelladcrockett at yahoo dot com. (Note: I spelled it all out so that spam generators wouldn't pick it up as easily!)
Thanks again, ladies! I'll be rounding up your goodies later in the week and will probably ship them out on Monday.
Blessings!

St Teresa Quote for Featured Stamper
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Pam aka wearestampers....congrats, Pam! I fell in love with this super cute card.....what a clever design!!! I changed up the colors and stamps, used designer paper, and added baker's twine, but kept the layout as close as possible. I used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs to create my card today: 'A Happy Hello' stamp set, ODBD Plum Pizazz Paper Collection, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies (for cutting the designer paper and for embossing the stitches in the card), ODBD Custom Mini Stitched Hearts Dies, and the tiny hearts are from the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies set.

Two Dress-Inspired Cards
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the 'I Don't Wear Dresses' tumblr site. I chose two different dresses and made two cards.
I fell in love with the rich blackberry colors in this dress and it made me think of tulips for some reason....winter has just begun but I'm ready to see my spring flowers popping up! For my card, I mixed an 'oldie but goodie' stamp, 'Tulip Corner', with a new die cut, the ODBD Custom 'Happy Birthday Script' Die, plus the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, and little hearts from ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies (all items are from Our Daily Bread designs). The image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then water-colored with Blackberry Bliss, dark at the base and gradient toward the tips of the petals. Once I was finished with the water-coloring, I flicked the wet paintbrush over the ivory panel. The word die was cut in half so that it would work with this image. Instead of dotting the I, a tiny heart was placed there instead. I will also be submitting this to the Less Is More 'Ombre' Challenge and ODBD Shining the Light Color Challenge (I chose the three shades of purple on the left).
My second card is based on this blue floral dress......I cannot pass us royal blue flowers!!!! For my card, I cut out a panel with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, stamped it all over with the image from 'A Happy Hello', added a border cut with the ODBD Custom Deco Border Die plus thin satin ribbon. The sentiment was cut out with the ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Ovals Dies. Three tiny pearls and a bow were added for simple embellishments.

Pooh Bear Name-frame Gift and Card
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a card and name-frame created back in November for a new little bundle of joy in our family, our new niece, Molly! In order to match Molly's nursery, since I do not own any Pooh stamps, for both the card and nameframe, I fussy cut the Pooh characters out of some scrapbook paper. For the card, I started by cutting out the pink panel with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, then cut out the circles with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies. The sentiment is from the 'Pennant Flag Verses' set; the sentiment and mat, along with the pennants at the top were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies and ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies. Peeking through the circle cut-outs is a panel which was stamped with the ODBD 'Gingham Background' stamp; the white mat at the bottom was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies set. The tiny hearts are from the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies set.
For the frame, Pooh scrapbook paper was used for the background and the fun image. The following items from Our Daily Bread designs were also used: ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennants Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Alphabet Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies (sponged clouds), ODBD Custom Grass Hill Die, ODBD Custom Fence Die, ODBD 'Little Girls' stamp set (sentiment).

You Will Find Refuge
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is 'Something old, new, borrowed, and blue'. The old part is covered by the antique copper brads which I bought when I first discovered stamping. The new is the Bible Journal stamp, 'Find Refuge'. The borrowed part is the design which was borrowed from this awesome card by Marilyn....I love the eagle with just the blue sky and no scene...very powerful with the scripture verse! The blue part is the sponged sky. My card today is a birthday card for a co-worker who loves eagles. As soon as I saw the new Bible Journaling stamp, 'Find Refuge', from Our Daily Bread designs, I knew that I had to use the 'On Eagles' Wings' along with it. The scripture was stamped on a white panel which was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies; the clouds were sponged over a template cut out with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies; the eagle was fussy cut, colored, then popped up with foam tape over the rustic burlap-type ribbon. Three metal brads were added as a subtle embellishment without taking the attention off of the scripture and eagle.

God Bless!
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use something new on your card. For my card, I used the new 'A Happy Hello' stamp set by Our Daily Bread designs. The floral image was white embossed on a white panel cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, cantaloupe ink was sponged around it, then markers highlighted parts of the flowers and leaves. The sentiment was also white embossed, cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies (both die cuts were resized to make them shorter). The sentiment panel was placed so that it looked like a flower box. Cantaloupe baker's twine and green pearls were the only embellishments.

How To Create a Bookmark From Any Die
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share how to create a bookmark or tag out of any open centered cutting die. For my bookmark sample, I have used the largest die from the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Dies.
The first step is to choose a die with an open center which will be the top of your bookmark or tag; measure the inside edge of the die. For my bookmark, I cut a piece of cardstock which was 2-1/2 inches wide.
Next, place the top of the cardstock through the center and under the cutting side of the die. Line up the sides evenly and tape down. Once the die is run through your cutting machine, only the top of the panel will be cut.
Trim the bottom to your chosen length and round the corners if desired. Punch or die cut hole or slot in the top so that you may add ribbon, cording, etc.
Here is the finished bookmark which was featured in the new release post this month for Our Daily Bread designs. The products I used along with the Vintage Labels Dies are 'His Timing' (Bible Journaling stamp), the clock image from 'Time', and the ODBD Custom Circles Dies. Once the bookmark was stamped and sponged, it was adhered to gray cardstock; the straight edges were trimmed with a cutter and the shaped edges were trimmed by hand.
Here is a bookmark created earlier this year with the same die set with the 'Your Heart' Bible Journaling stamp.
Thanks for sharing your day with me! Anyone who comments on this post by Friday, Jan 6, will have a random chance to win some goodies! Please make sure that I will be able to contact you either through your blog or email.

Congratulations!
Happy New Year, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is Tara aka tkcspot......congrats, Tara!!! I chose this super cute card to case so that I could try out my new ODBD Custom Congratulations Die from Our Daily Bread designs. Since my die was longer than her congrats stamp, I flipped Tara's card design sideways, used stars instead of dots, but kept the same colors and basic design. I also used red ribbon, but did not add a knot or bow so that it would be flat for mailing. The designer paper at the bottom is from the ODBD Patriotic Paper Collection, the stars are from the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies, and the top panels were cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies.

Our Daily Bread designs January New Releases
Happy New Year, everyone!!!! Welcome to the January New Release party for Our Daily Bread designs!! This month we have new stamps, dies, and some new gorgeous designer paper to share.....see the entire new release HERE. If you'd like a chance to win some goodies from Our Daily Bread designs, follow the instructions below:
* Sandee * Dawn * Chris * Angie (me) * Lisa * Grace * Diana *
* Cathy * Julie * Robin * Sabrina * Helen * Kathy * Anita *
Here are the new and previously released items from Our Daily Bread designs which are featured in my projects today:
For my first project, I have created a basket with the new ODBD Custom Bountiful Basket Dies set, the ODBD Custom Mini Stitched Hearts Dies, Gingham Background stamp, Dresden Quilt stamp, Rex from 'You Are Pawsome', and a sentiment from 'Be Mine'. I was intimidated by the basket die set when I first saw it, however, it was easy as pie! My husband suggested that I make a basket of puppies, so I took that cute idea and ran with it! Rex is actually two-sided......after finishing one image on white cardstock, I stamped again onto a piece of vellum, colored the image, created a sticker out of it, then adhered the mirror image to the back of the cardstock. For the quilt, I stamped and colored two of them, then gently folded them to fit into the basket and sandwich the puppy in between. Once I had the folds in the right places, I glued the quilts to the puppy and the puppy to the bottom of the basket.
My second project is a bookmark on which I used one of the new Bible Journaling stamps, 'His Timing', along with the clock image from 'Time'. The top of the bookmark was cut out with the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Dies and the little circle was cut with the ODBD Custom Circles Dies. On Monday, I will post a tutorial on how to create tags and bookmarks from any open centered cutting dies. (Pssst......anyone who comments on Monday's tutorial post will have a chance to win some goodies!)
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
God bless!
