Hi, everyone! For this week's Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast, I am using an awesome new stamp set from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Forever Friends'...I LOVE coneflowers!!! The image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black, colored with markers, fussy cut, then popped up with foam tape over the cloud background which was sponged using a template cut from the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies. The banner was cut with the ODBD Custom Pennants Dies, cut in half, then sponged to match the background. The pink frame was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies; the ODBD Custom Fence Die was cut out then stamped with the 'Wood Background' stamp, also by ODBD. Pink Baker's Twine is my only embellishment.

Featured Stamper Times Two!
Hi, everyone! Today's post covers this week's and last week's Featured Stamper Challenges from Splitcoast. This week's Featured Stamper is Kendra Sand aka jksand...congrats, Kendra! I fell in love with this beautiful card and decided to change the design from birthday to sympathy since I need to mail out a card this week, unfortunately. Instead of a straight edge, I used two dies from the ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Borders Dies along with a polka dot design from the ODBD Christmas Paper Collection 2014 pack. The lily and sentiment stamps are from 'Loving Memories'.
Last week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast was Lisa Somerville, one of my Sistah Sticks (design team sister from Our Daily Bread designs)! Lisa not only designs for Our Daily Bread designs, North Coast Creations, and Artistic Outpost, but she is "the machine behind the scene" of all three companies! Thanks, Lisa, for all you do!!!! After cruising through Lisa's IMMENSE gallery, I chose this beautiful card to case. Instead of a heart, I cut a birthday cake from the ODBD Custom Cakes and Candle Dies set, stenciled in turquoise, then adhered over some silver cord and a panel which was sprayed with turquoise Glimmer Mist. The sentiment was cut out with the ODBD Custom Celebrate and Wish Dies. Three clear gemstones were added for some sparkle to go along with the Glimmer Mist, silver cord and silver card base.

Butterfly Sunburst Hello!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Tim Holtz Mania Pinterest Board.....I chose this amazing card for my inspiration today. I couldn't find the stencil I wanted to use for this card, so instead I dry embossed and stenciled the ODBD Custom Sunburst Background Die. The butterfly and its mat were cut out with the ODBD Custom Fancy Fritillary Dies set. Ranger Antique Linen distress ink was used for both the butterfly and sunburst, then a little blackberry ink was added to the edges to match the ODBD Custom Hello Die and blackberry mat layer. Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist was heavily sprayed onto the background and butterfly and a gold metallic card base and gold sequins were used to coordinate with the shimmer. Unfortunately, the photo did not turn out great, even after multiple shots. It's very golden and shimmery in real life! I will also be submitting this to the "Less is More" (Use a Stencil) Challenge and the June Fan Club Central Theme at SCS (all about angles).

The Garden of Life
Hi, everyone! This week I have combined Splitcoast's Sketch Challenge #598 with the Color Challenge 588 which is Perfect Plum, Smoky Slate, and Pink Pirouette (I did not choose the dessert option of creating my own background, however). I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs for my card: Zinnia Set (flower and sentiment), ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Majestic Medallion Dies, and the ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Borders Dies. The zinnia flower was stamped in Stazon Stone Gray, then colored with sponge daubers; I did use a touch of yellow in the center, so the challenge police may come calling! :)

Happy Father's Day
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Vermont Country Store....I chose these herringbone blankets....LOVE blues and browns together!! Earlier this week, I came across this awesome Father's Day card by gosh2fly and decided to case the layout and tool idea for the three Father's Day cards I needed to make before Sunday. Today's Inspiration Challenge helped with the missing pieces needed in order to get started on them! I was grateful to have enough herringbone paper in my misc. paper stash to make three cards...whew! First off, I had to dig into my "retired colors file" and get a couple of pieces of SU Brilliant Blue, plus some silver metallic for the saw blade. The designer paper was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, the DAD letters were cut out with the ODBD Custom Alphabet Dies, the saw was cut out with the ODBD Custom Workshop Tools Dies, the father's day sentiment from 'Ride 'Em Cowboy' was heat embossed with silver embossing powder, and the curved border was cut with the ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Borders Dies.

Happy Birthday Cupcake!
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast can be interpreted so many different ways, for layered cards or clean and simple. My sample today is a bit in between. I used a heart instead of a circle plus the number 2 and 3 panels I chose to use the same designer paper separated by turquoise ribbon. For my card, I have used the following items by Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom Happy Birthday Dies, ODBD Custom Numbers Dies, ODBD Custom Cakes and Candles Dies, ODBD Custom Mini Stitched Hearts Dies, ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Dies, and the ODBD Birthday Bash Paper Collection. The designer paper had a rainbow of colors, but I focused on the pink and turquoise since my niece love pink.

Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Robin Lee....congrats, Robin! I fell in love with this fun design and used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs to re-create it: Sending My Love (Stamp/Die Duos), ODBD Custom Alphabet Dies, ODBD Custom Mini Stitched Hearts Dies, ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies (tiny hearts), ODBD Custom Pierced Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, the ODBD Old Glory Paper Collection (red polka dot) and the ODBD Chalkboard Paper Collection (black polka dot panel and die cuts). No explanations needed....just simple stamping and die cutting.

Time To Celebrate!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose your inspiration from the Abstract Art Pinterest Board.....I chose this stunning piece because I loved the colors and clock theme. This card is for my brother who just graduated from college....congrats, Sean!!! I knew I wanted to make a partial clock face with the ODBD Custom Numbers Dies, but I didn't have a circle die large enough, so I traced a roll of tape and cut a partial circle to sponge the black outline onto the card base which was cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The panel was then smooshed into a mixture of teal, brown, and rust inks plus Gold Glimmer Mist instead of water. Once it was dry, some sponging was added and the clock face image from 'God's Timing' was stamped multiple times. A portion of a sentiment from 'Time' was stamped to coordinate with the 'Celebrate' from the ODBD Custom Celebrate and Wish Dies set. The clock hands were cut from the ODBD Custom Matting Circles Dies set and trimmed evenly with the mat's edge. After adding three black brads to the corner, the matted panel was adhered to a black card base. Woo hoo, another flat card to mail with only one stamp!! :)

The Righteous Man
Hi, everyone! This week's Friday Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoast is "Weather or Not"....my card features sunshine. This is a birthday card for my brother-in-law. I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: 'Howdy' (scripture), 'Ride 'Em Cowboy' (cactus silhouette), the ODBD Custom Circles Dies (mask for sun), and the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies for both cutting out the image panel and for embossing the frame onto the kraft card base. Half of the cowboy image from 'Ride 'Em Cowboy' was stamped in black, then black ink was used over a scratch paper mask to complete the hillside. The sun and sky were sponged using mustard and ruby red ink. I wanted this card to be flat for mailing, so instead of adding brads or ribbon, I chose to add linen thread and a a bit of doodling around the edge.

Dear Friend
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast was super fun! I also combined this week's Color Challenge: Pool Party, Marina Mist, and Garden Green. For my card, the 'Belles Vignes' flourish vine image was white embossed onto white cardstock, then the three colors were sponged. The window was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies, then the panel was popped up with foam tape over the embossing resist sponged panel. The ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies were cut out of white cardstock, then sponged with the three colors; clear gems were added to give them a little "oompf" since the colors were light. The sentiment from 'Medallion Sentiments' was white embossed onto the aqua panel.

Sending Prayers Your Way
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from a Pinterest board filled with wedding shoes of all sorts. I chose this gorgeous photo because of the yummy colors in the bouquet. To match the colors, I cut out the background panel from a pattern from the ODBD Rustic Beauty Paper Collection with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, cut out the three butterflies with the ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies Dies, and cut out the scalloped border from the ODBD Custom Bitty Borders Dies. The 'Sending' die cut and the sentiment are both from the 'Sending My Love' Stamp/Dio Duos set. To keep the card mostly flat for mailing, I did not pop up any layers but did add a few pearls.

My first project is an 8 x 8 scripture journal scrapbook page.....this is the 2nd page I've created for my scripture scrapbook.....see my first page HERE. For this page, I started by printing out the entire 6th chapter of Ephesians plus 2 other verses onto a piece of cardstock in my stash which resembled parchment. One it was trimmed to 8x8, the edges were torn and inked heavily with gray ink. The letters from the ODBD Custom Alphabet Dies set were cut and adhered at the top; the scripture from 'Full Armor' was stamped directly onto the page; the knight from 'Armor of God' was stamped on white cardstock, water-colored, fussy cut, then adhered onto the page which was matted with gray cardstock.
My second project is an A2 card which also features the 'Armor of God' and 'Full Armor' sets. The knight from 'Armor of God' was stamped three times on white cardstock so that different sections could be popped up for dimension. The scripture from 'Full Armor' was stamped on white, then each line was fussy cut, sponged with gray, then popped up with foam tape. The blue framing was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Lavish Layers' Dies; the designer paper from the ODBD Americana Quilt Collection was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. Silver brads were added to two corners.
