Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to choose a card from Jen's gallery (Miss Boo) and recreate it in a CAS fashion. I chose this beautiful card from her gallery....I loved the colors, the polka dots, the corner punch, and perfect paper piercing. My card did not end up as CAS as originally planned, but here it is!
I have used several stamp sets and dies from Our Daily Bread designs in the making of this card. The largest jar from the "Canning Jars" set was stamped and cut out with the ODBD Custom Canning Jars Die Set, the "jellybeans" are from the "Canning Jar Fillers 2" set (these are actually regular beans, but I colored them red and coated them with Glossy Accents). The jar cover, banner, and corner embellishment (cut out with the Ornate Borders and Flower Die Set) were all stamped with the Gingham Background. The sentiment is from the "Little Girls" set.
Thanks for visiting with me today! Come on back first thing in the morning for the ODBD January New Releases!!!! Yay!!!
Have a safe and blessed New Year!!

Lavender Fence - ODBD Sneak Peek!
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast Stampers is Cary aka Miss Minx....congrats, Cary!!! I cruised through every page of her beautiful gallery and decided to recreate this super cute card.....I haven't made a fence like this in years, so I thought it would be fun to use an upcoming January set by Our Daily Bread designs called "Lavender" (available January 1st). The fence was created by stamping the "Wood Background" stamp (also from Our Daily Bread designs) onto gray cardstock, then used a small tag punch to create the planks, sponged the edges, adhered them to the image panel, added a strip across along with some mini brads and a tag.

Clean and Simple Birthday Cake x 2
Happy Monday, everyone! I have two cards to share with you today....one is the "Less is More" version and the other is "More is More" version, which is the same card but "ramped up" a bit! The "More" version is based upon the Mojo Sketch for this week......I couldn't resist since it was a very simple design! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is "Cakes, Pies, and Desserts", so I used the "Cake Single" and birthday sentiment from "All Occasion Sentiments", both by Our Daily Bread designs. I will also be submitting this to the "Less is More" challenge.....choose any previous challenge.....I chose the challenge from March 5th, to use pastel colors.
Thanks for stopping by today! Please let me know which version you like best! Have a fabulous week!!

Words Cannot Express.....
Hi, everyone! Hope you are having a fabulous weekend! Since it's wet and "goopy" outside, I've been watching football and doing some stamping. This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Roberta aka stampin' nana.....congrats, Roberta!!! I chose this beautiful card to recreate.....I loved the design with the four squares.....a cool design, but still clean and simple....yay! I cut four matching squares, stamped each with the corner stamp from Ornate Borders and Flowers, using my friend the Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner, sponged the edges then adhered them onto the aqua cardstock. The sentiment is from the No Words set. (Both stamp sets are from Our Daily Bread designs.)

CAS Inspiration from Birgit
Happy Saturday, everyone!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose your inspiration from Birgit's blog, Rapport fran ett Skrivbord, which translated to English means "Report from a Desk". Birgit (aka Biggan) is one of my all time fave stampers/artists over at Splitcoast.....her style is so artsy and creative!!! I chose this beautiful card to re-create, using masking with scratch paper and sponging. The silhouette and sentiment are from "Find Beauty" from North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs).
Thanks so much for visiting with me today!

She leaves the most encouraging comments all through the gallery!! I chose this beautiful sympathy card to recreate. The sentiment is from the ODBD set, Sharing your Sorrow, the butterflies were fussy-cut from the Stamped By- Butterfly Mini stamp, and the flourish is from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set. The crocheted lace is from Prima.

Punch Art Froggie Birthday
Hi, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find an item from Michael Kors.....I used this gorgeous green purse with brown leather tassles as inspiration for my card today. My sister-in-law requested a frog themed birthday card this year.....when I saw the green bag, I knew that today was the day to make her card! Instead of using the same ole frog stamps I usually use, I decided to create my own frog out of punches and die cuts. I used scratch paper and different dies and punches for trial and error until I found the right combination, then cut the pieces out of cardstock. I used the Gingham Background and Ornate Border Sentiments, both from Our Daily Bread designs.

Lavender and Navy Inspiration
Hello!! Happy Saturday!!! It's a cold but sunny day here in Indiana, with several inches of snow on the ground.....a perfect day to stay warm inside and do some stamping!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at SplitcoastStampers is to choose an item from Hollanders for your inspiration. I absolutely flipped over this lavender and navy floral pattern......what a yummy color combo!!!
The background of my card was stamped in light purple with the Ornate Background. The stamped frame and ornate flower are from Ornate Borders and Flowers set and were both cut out with the ODBD Custom Ornate Borders and Flower Die Set. The sentiment is from Sentiments Collection and the flourish is from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set. The navy blue satin ribbon is from May Arts and the pearls are from Zva Creative.

Gone Fishing with Buford!
Hi, everyone! I'm so excited......I was asked to make a sample for this week's Queen For The Day Challenge.....woo hoo!!! Big congrats to GailNM for being dubbed Queen!! What a fabulous gallery......I cruised through it several times!! Since I needed to make a birthday card for a male co-worker, I chose to recreate this beautiful card.....I loved the shaped frame and beautiful background. For my card, I used the Fishing Buford single from North Coast Creations, along with the Fishing Net Background and sentiment from Little Boys from Our Daily Bread designs.

Our Daily Bread designs December New Releases!
Hi there! Welcome to Our Daily Bread designs' December New Release party!! Kelley has done it once again.....this months stamps and coordinating dies are AMAZING!!!! Here are the new releases:
For my two samples (and sneak peek), I have used combinations of all of the new products....they are so easy to mix and match!!
For my first sample, I used the No Words set for the sentiment, Ornate Background stamp, the Ornate Borders and Flowers Set, the ODBD Custom Ornate Borders and Flower Die Set, the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set, and SB Decorative Labels One Dies. The light pink ink on the ivory cardstock was a bit difficult to photograph, but looks very soft and pretty in person. Feel free to click on the photo for a close up view.
My second sample features the Ornate Background stamp, the Ornate Borders and Flowers Set, the ODBD Custom Ornate Borders and Flower Die Set, the Ornate Borders Sentiments, and the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set. Using the teal ink makes all of the beautiful details of the stamps clear and visible.....I LOVE these new beautiful patterns!!
This next card was a sneak peek on which I used the Stained Glass technique to show another way to use the Ornate Background. The background stamp was white embossed on vellum, then the underside of the vellum was colored with markers, then adhered to a white mat.
Please visit my designer sisters below to see more samples with these gorgeous new sets and dies. There will be three random comments chosen from these blogs and the winners will receive a $25 gift certificate toward stamps from Our Daily Bread designs! You have until December 2nd at 9 pm EST to leave your comments. The winners will be announced on the ODBD Blog on December 3rd.

ODBD Sneak Peek - Stained Glass Birthday
Hi, everyone! Hope you all had a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving!
This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is to find inspiration from the Horchow site......I fell in love with the purple, green, and white color combo of these gorgeous table linens. This week's Queen for the Day is Beverly aka ruby-heartedmom.....congrats, Beverly!!!! Her gallery is full of so many cool techniques, so I decided to try the stained glass technique as she did on this beautiful card. I tried a single image as she did, but it didn't turn out well, so instead I used the Ornate Background stamp from Our Daily Bread designs (available December 1st). The background was stamped onto white vellum with versamark, heat embossed with white embossing powder, then the entire underside was colored with a sponge dauber in light purple, then markers highlighted the ornate designs. The vellum panel was adhered to white cardstock using a Xyron Sticker Maker Machine, then matted, paper pierced and popped up with foam tape over light purple cardstock. Since this is a birthday card for a dear friend, I also added a sentiment from the "Ornate Borders Sentiments", stamped over the "Ornate Borders and Flowers" design, cut out with the custom "Ornate Borders and Flower Die Set" (all available Dec 1st). The leaves were cut out with the ODBD "Fancy Foliage" Die Set.
Thanks for visiting today! Don't forget.....Our Daily Bread designs has a huge sale going on right now, plus Blog Candy.....check out the details HERE!

Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the extremely talented Julie Dinn aka Stampinjewelsd...congrats, Julie!!! I chose this beautiful card from her gallery to recreate. I really liked the sponging, the layout, and the five brads under the sentiment. The set I chose is from North Coast Creations (Our Daily Bread designs' sister company), called "King of the Road". A Look Back at the ODBD November New Release
Hi, everyone!! Today, we are looking back at the new stamps and dies which were released by Our Daily Bread designs on November 1st. For my sample today, I have used The Earth set, along with five different cutting dies from the new ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Die Set...can you find all of the dies I used from the set shown below?
I have included two different photos, since metallics are so difficult to photograph. The first photo shows how awesome the copper embossed earth image turned out, but the 2nd really shows off the copper mirror paper, from which the shapes were cut. I couldn't decided between the two photos, so I left them both! :)
For added copper effects, after stamping the earth on the white strip with blue ink, copper embossing powder was sprinkled over the panel and heated from the under side of the cardstock to melt it to the paper. Why heat the underside, you ask? Answer: so that the embossing powder would not blow off from the gust of the heat tool. Please click on one of the photos if you'd like to see a close up of the sprinkles.
If you'd like to see more samples from the November sets, please visit my designer sisters below (and leave some love too!)

Thankful Daisies!
Hello there! Today I would like to share a birthday card which I made for a dear friend.....this "Daisy" stamp from Our Daily Bread designs is my go-to stamp for so many cards....I love it!! After stamping the daisy image, I covered it with a mask (which I cut out from scratch paper), then sponged a soft purple around the outside edges to give it a bit of a glow. The rest was colored with markers. The sentiment is from "God Loves You" (retired set). Another fave of mine is the "ODBD Fence Die" ....I use it every chance I get! I will be submitting this card to the Central Theme "Gratitude" Challenge...a Fan Club Members Only challenge at Splitcoast Stampers.

The Lord is my Shepherd
Hello!! Today I would like to share a sympathy card which I made using the Featured Stamper Challenge at Splitcoast. This week's Featured Stamper is Susan Conrad aka One4Joy.....congrats, Susan! Susan's creations have brought a smile to my face for many years......her "quirky" and "artsy" style is so creative and fun. After taking a long cruise through her gallery, I chose this beautiful card to re-create. I used the same layout, but used different dies and added pearls. The image and scripture verse are from "The Shepherd" and the card base was stamped with the "Vine Background", both by Our Daily Bread designs.

Wonderful Razzleberry World!
Hi, everyone! This week's Queen for the Day is Susie Nelson....congrats, Susie!!! Her gallery at Splitcoast is chock full of beautiful cards! I finally decided on this gorgeous card to re-create.....I loved the stamped background and general layout of this card. The stamped background on my card is the "Vintage Pattern Mini 2" Background stamp and the sentiment is from "The Earth", both by Our Daily Bread designs. The ivory sentiment panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Antique Labels and Border die set; the razzleberry mat was cut by hand after tracing the outside edge of the same die. The razzleberry ribbon was tied with a Bow Easy.

CAS Beautiful Wishes
Hello there! Happy Saturday!! I sooooo love Saturdays.....not just because I don't have to go to work, but I LOVE to play along with the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast each week. This week, we are to choose a photo from a Japanese blog, Nunu's House, about miniature houses and their decorations.....wow, talk about artwork!! I chose this pink cake with white flowers. I love this Sizzix embossing folder because it makes Clean and Simple cards so quick and easy! The pink cardstock was embossed with the folder, then the flowers and stems were colored with an SU Chalk Pen. I was going to add some white ribbon, but decided that the pearls and paper piercing were the only embellishments needed. The sentiment is from the Our Daily Bread designs "Sentiments Collection 2" set, heat embossed with white embossing powder.
Thanks for visiting with me today!

Serenity Birthday
Hi, everyone! This is a birthday card for my brother, who loves to fish. I have used three challenges in the making of this card. This week's Shining the Light Challenge over at Our Daily Bread designs is the awesome sketch to the left of this paragraph....this was very fun....and pretty quick too!! Also, over at Splitcoast Stampers, the Color Challenge this week was a buffet of aquas and gray....I chose to combine Smoky Slate with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana, and Island Indigo....my dessert option was "thumping" technique.....the background and image stamp were both inked with an ink pad, then "thumped" with colored markers to give a variation in color. The background worked well, but the technique on the image was not very visible since the colors used were similar. Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge is to create a birthday card.....no problem, my brother's birthday is Sunday, so now I'm ahead of schedule....yay!!!
The background is the "Fishing Net Background" stamp and the image and sentiment are from "The Waves on the Sea", both sets are by Our Daily Bread designs.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a very blessed weekend!!
