Hi, everyone! I was experimenting with different inks with the 'Ink, Spray, and Smash' technique...this one has yellow, pink, and cantaloupe on watercolor paper. Once dry, I used the ODBD Custom Big Balloon Die to cut out the balloon (the outside of the die was traced on banana cardstock, then cut out by hand for a mat. The greeting is from the Big Birthday Bolds stamp set. Behind the balloon is a panel cut out with the ODBD Custom Lattice Background Die. Pink baker's twine and yellow sequins were added as finishing touches.

Living Waters Masculine Birthday Card
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Carol aka CreatingInColors......congrats, Carol! I chose this awesome card to re-create today. Instead of the 'Safe Travels' set by ODBD, I chose the 'Living Waters' set, along with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies for framing. I switched sides with the sentiment and added two silver brads to balance it out.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Strength and Dignity
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Antique Farmhouse site....I am a sucker for royal blue, so I chose this gorgeous designer paper for inspiration. For my card, I used a set which I had not used in years, 'Mom' by Our Daily Bread designs. The floral corner image was stamped multiple times using masking and a butterfly was cut with the ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies Dies set. Sequins were added for embellishments.

Pearly Pink Birthday Gift Set
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share a gift box which I made for a co-worker who loves Smarties candies. I used the same pink metallic cardstock which matches her birthday card shown below.....the original post for the card is here. The box, lid, and cut-out were all cut with the ODBD Custom The Giving Gift Box Dies set and the word die was cut with the ODBD Custom A Gift For You Dies set. The clear window was cut from one of the clear sheets from the stamp packaging.

Beautiful
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast has me aching for spring! We are to find inspiration from Schreiner's Iris Gardens.....I fell in love with these gorgeous 'Strikingly Dramatic' lilies. For my card, I have used the 'Beauty' set along with the following ODBD Custom Dies: Flower Lattice Border Die, Pierced Ovals, and Ornate Ovals. The lilies were stamped with Stazon Jet Black and water-colored. After the card was finished, I realized that my colors were not as deep as the inspiration photo....too late! :)

Happy Bird-Day To You!
Hi, everyone! This weeks Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to incorporate any type of bird on your CAS card....I dusted off one of my older Stampin Up sets, Love Ya Bunches, for today's card. I have hundreds of SU sets which haven't seen ink in years, so it made my heart happy to use this one today! The birdies and sentiment were stamped onto a white card base, the grass was sponged over a piece of scratch paper, then the clouds were sponged over a punched scallop circle. I didn't have any SU red baker's twine, so I used Lucky Limeade to match the grass.

Celebrating You
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Michele Reynolds aka Michelerey....congrats, Michele!!! Wow, Michele has over 4000 photos in her gallery....there were so many that I fell in love with! I was looking for inspiration to help me create a birthday card for my Step-Dad.....this gorgeous card was perfect! I used the ink, spray and smash technique with navy blue and turquoise inks......somehow the panel came out looking purple, so I dug out some Vintage Violet cardstock (retired) for the card base. Once the inked panel was dry, it was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles. The sentiment is from 'Celebrating You'. There was a piercing template on my desk, so I decided to use piercing under the 'Dragonfly Single' instead of twine. Turquoise enamel dots and ink splatters were added to match the water-colored dragonfly.

Gift Box / Gift Card Holder Set
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Spoonflower site......I fell in love with this yellow lace pattern and was inspired to create a matching gift box and gift card holder. For the box, I used the ODBD Custom 'The Giving Gift Box' Dies, along with the ODBD Custom 'Happy Birthday Caps' Die. The matching gift card holder was cut from the ODBD Custom 'Gift Card Holder' Dies set with tags from the ODBD Custom 'A Gift for You' Dies set, along with a sentiment from All God's Blessings Stamp/Die Duo. The tiny hearts were cut with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies. When I started out, I did not intend to use black, however, the word die was not very visible, so I added the black shadow to it then coordinated the box and gift card holder with the little black hearts.

Happy Birthday Heart Balloons
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge is to use any of the four suits from playing cards....I chose to use hearts. I have used a partial sentiment from 'Big Birthday Bolds' along with the following ODBD Custom Dies: Birthday Balloons, Happy Birthday Caps Die, Clouds and Raindrops Dies (tiny hearts), and Pierced Rectangles (resized) to cut a strip from the ODBD Birthday Bash Paper Collection.

Happy Retirement!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is Amy Marshall aka Kalla Walla.....congrats, Amy! I am a huge fan of Amy's work and have featured her several times in the past few years for ODBD Customer Card of the Day. I am super excited that she was chosen for this honor! After cruising every page of her gallery, I chose this fun card to case today. I loved the tropical theme, twine, and the message written in the sand, so I incorporated those elements in this retirement card for my Step-Dad who will be retiring this month after being at the same job for 47 years! The image and sentiment are from the 'Happy Retirement' set and the background panel was stamped with the 'Rope Background'. The scene was colored with sponges/ink and markers. The following ODBD Custom Dies were used: Pierced Squares (resized), Pierced Rectangles, and Circles Dies (reverse mask for sponging the sun). Metal brads and linen thread were added as finishing touches. I will also be submitting this to the Fan Club Central Theme since I used a die technique (there is no tutorial on SCS yet, but I used the die-resizing technique to separate the sentiment from the image panel using the same square die.)
Here is a matching gift card holder I made with the following ODBD Custom Dies: Gift Card Holder, A Gift For You, Sparkling Stars, and on the inside: Pierced Rectangles Dies and a sentiment from 'Today and Everyday'.

Please note that prizes for our blog hops are now offered on social media instead of the ODBD Blog, however, you can find all of the information HERE for your chance to win!
Here are the products used in my three samples for today:
For my first card, I began by cutting the white panel and designer paper (Birthday Brights Paper Collection) with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. The sentiment stamp from 'Celebrating You' was stamped multiple times while inking and 'stamping off' to get the variance in color. The ODBD Custom Leafy Edged Borders Dies set was used to cut the curved border. The ODBD Custom Birthday Balloons Dies were cut in coordinating colors and tiny stars cut from the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies set were added as accents.
My next project is a 6 x 6 scrapbook layout using a photo from my niece's first birthday party. My brother actually made the cupcake shaped cake for her and I knew that I would scrap this photo.....this months sets were a perfect opportunity!! The cupcake and sentiment are from the 'All God's Blessings' Stamp/Die Duo. A single candle from the ODBD Custom Birthday Candles Dies set was cut and tucked into the cupcake after making a tiny cut with a craft knife. Here are the additional products used: Old Glory Paper Collection, ODBD Custom Birthday Balloons Dies, ODBD Custom Alphabet Dies, ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Ovals Dies.
