Hello, everyone! Since most of my family does not visit my blog, I am fairly safe to post two different Mother's Day cards before next weekend! These were both created with the ODBD Custom Star Quilt Die and a sentiment from 'Mother's Day'. For the first card, I used ODBD Easter Card Collection 2016 Designer Paper along with wisteria cardstock, baker's twine, and buttons.
Here is another version using a different color scheme. This designer paper from the ODBD Cozy Quilt Collection looked really good with coral cardstock and I love that I had matching buttons!
Thanks for visiting!!!

Happy 50th Anniversary!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Wayfair site......I am in love with this wall medallion mirror! Hubs and I have been wanting to get rid of our current decorations which are dust collectors and find some simple pieces to hang instead...this may be our place to shop! My in-laws are celebrating their 50th anniversary this week....what an amazing milestone! So, I broke out the gold metallic cardstock and gold embossing powder. I have used the following items by Our Daily Bread designs for this card: Medallion Background, Medallion Sentiments, ODBD Custom Flourishy Frame Dies, ODBD Custom Majestic Medallion Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Dies, ODBD Custom Birds and Nest Dies (flower). After embossing and die cutting, lots of little pearls were added to accent the medallion design.

Living Water
Hi, everyone! The layout of this week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast screamed "masculine card" to me, so I used it to create this birthday card for my father in law. I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs for my card: the old mill image and scripture stamp are both from the 'Living Water' set; the birthday sentiment is from 'Little Girls', ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Circles Dies, and ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies.

Murphy's Birthday Balloons!
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast is a simple one...yay!! I had originally planned on a very clean and simple design, but once I decided on Birthday Murphy by North Coast Creations, I got carried away with the fun colors and paper! The designer paper background is from the ODBD Cozy Quilt Paper Collection; the polka dot die is by Spellbinders, the rectangle framing was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles and ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies. The sentiment from 'Deer Silhouette Greetings' (by North Coast Creations) was stamped on green twill ribbon. The image was stamped directly onto the designer paper (simply because I didn't want to fussy cut around the balloon strings!) and another was stamped on white, water-colored, then cut out and popped up.

Polka Dot Posies for My Friend
Hi, everyone! When you subscribe to the Fan Club at Splitcoast Stampers, there are monthly challenges and special events throughout the year in which you may participate. My card today will be submitted to a couple of the monthly challenges. For my card, I dusted off an old Stampin Up set, called Polka-Dot Posies since it fit so well with the Fan Club Inspiration challenge which included red, black, polka dots, and more. The flower was stamped in red, overstamped the flower center in black, then fussy cut and popped up over the background which was stamped several times with the sentiment stamp then dry embossed with a polka dot folder. Gingham ribbon, red button, and paper piercing were added for embellishments.

Give Your Worries & Cares To God
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast made me a bit uncomfortable at first glance since it appeared to have many layers, but after I decided to use burlap for three of the pieces, the rest came together easily...whew! I started with a sage card base, then the kraft, designer paper, and scripture panel were all cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. The designer paper is from the ODBD Cozy Quilt Paper Collection and the scripture stamp is from Scripture Series 3. The two strips of burlap are from the same roll as the banner, cut down the middle and the hem trimmed off of each side. I used a tangerine button and sage baker's twine to bring out the colors of the designer paper. I will also be submitting this to the ODBD Shining the Light Recipe Challenge: O= Our Daily Bread designs stamps, D=double row of ribbon, B=burlap, button, or baker's twine, D = double stitched rectangles dies.

Let It Sew, Let It Sew, Let It Sew!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Seaweed Kisses site.....I fell in love with the peach/hot pink color combination of these smash books , so I used these colors to create this altered spiral notebook. I started by cutting a 3 x 5 piece of apricot cardstock, stamped the 'Dresden Quilt Stamp' by Our Daily Bread designs in Stazon Fuschia ink, highlighted parts of the stamp with an apricot marker, created some faux stitching with a pink marker, stamped a sentiment from 'A Time To Mend', then adhered three paper buttons which were cut out with the ODBD Custom Matting Circles Dies set. To match the holes in the notebook, one piece of paper was cut out of the notebook in order to punch the holes in the same places. With scissors, a snip was made for each hole; after adhering the cover, each section at the top was pressed through the wire and adhered to the cover. If you'd like to see a photo tutorial of this easy-peasy alteration, click HERE.
