Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Kathy Straw aka MochaFrap....congrats, Kathy! I loved the fun layout of this super cute card, so I chose it for inspiration. I used the same layout with two rectangles and a banner, but instead of an image, I have used the ODBD Custom 'Thank You' Die along with a partial sentiment from the 'With Much Thanks' stamp set. My intention was to stamp the sentiment onto the metallic pearl banner, but ended up with a smudge so the boo-boo was covered up with a rectangle panel instead. The Thank You was also cut from the metallic cardstock, so I had to use permanent ink to stencil the die cut so that it wouldn't rub off. All three rectangles were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Double Stitched Rectangles' Dies. The designer paper is from the ODBD Easter Card Collection 2016.

Deer Silhouette Times Two!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the China Online Museum....so many beautiful works of art there! I fell in love with the colors in this beautiful painting and used them in two different masculine birthday cards. I will also be submitting this to the SCS Fan Club 'More is More' Challenge and 'Central Theme' of 'Forest Friends'. There are a lot of masculine birthdays in my family this month, so thought this would be a good opportunity to play in the MIM challenge. I have used the 'Deer Silhouette Greetings' set by North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs). For both cards, white panels were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, sponged aqua, green, yellow, and gray inks in the background, stamped the images in black, and added some paper piercing. For the 'more' version, a black frame and sentiment panel were cut from the same die set and popped up with foam tape.
Before I go, (you will NOT see this on the ODBD Blog), in case you aren't subscribed to the ODBD Newsletter, this weekend you can get free shipping on all orders from Our Daily Bread designs, North Coast Creations, and Artistic Outpost......shop all three companies HERE on one site; just choose 'Priority Shipping' (no code needed). International customers will receive $6.00 off of shipping. God's Blessings
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper is Michele Greenwood aka Whimsey....congrats, Michele! Wow, such a fabulous gallery with so many different styles! I decided to case this beautiful card. Instead of dry embossing the bottom layer, I decided to use the same pattern of designer paper throughout. Instead of sewing on my card as Michele did, I added some hand stitching. The flower and leaves were cut with the ODBD Custom Pretty Posies Dies and sponged with kraft ink. The sentiment is from the 'Thinking of You' set and the designer paper is from the ODBD Shabby Rose Paper Collection. The center rectangle panels were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies and ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies.

Bible Bookmark
Hi, everyone! Today I would like to share another bookmark I will be submitting for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast. I literally gasped when I saw the amazing colors in these bath salts....so gorgeous! I made this with another of the new Bible journaling stamps by Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Your Heart'. Since this stamp was too long to use with the ODBD Custom Bookmarks Dies, I used one of the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Dies to cut the top of the bookmark only.....see my tutorial on how I did this HERE....this is so easy, you won't believe it! Choose the die with the width you want, cut your paper strip so that it will fit within the die frame, then follow the instructions on the tutorial. Once my strip was die cut, stamped, and colored, I used a corner rounder at the bottom. I traced the top of the die onto aqua cardstock, cut by hand, trimmed the sides with a paper cutter and used a corner rounder for the bottom. This was so quick and easy that I will make more of these to give out at church!

Blessed Is The Nation
Happy Saturday, everyone!! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Uncommon Goods online store....I fell in love with the regal colors of this pedestal jewelry dish and thought that they would be perfect for a scripture bookmark with the 'The Nation' bible journaling stamp from Our Daily Bread designs. Since I do not own a journal-type bible, I have been having a blast making cards and bookmarks with the journaling stamps instead. I started by cutting a white bookmark with the ODBD Custom Bookmarks Dies set, stamped 'The Nation' in eggplant, colored with a yellow marker (and a clear glaze pen), then sponged navy blue onto the edges. For the mat, I traced the top of the bookmark die onto eggplant cardstock, cut the straight edges with a paper cutter, then trimmed the top and bottom by hand after adhering the bookmark.

What's The Scoop?
Hi, everyone!! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast was about 'Snow and Ice'....I put a twist on the challenge and came up with ICE cream instead! This was a super quick birthday card I made with the 'What's The Scoop?' set by North Coast Creations (sister company to Our Daily Bread designs). I have also used the following items by our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies, ODBD 'Vintage Ephemera' Paper Collection. The ice cream cone was stamped, colored with sponges and markers, coated with a clear glaze pen, then popped up with foam tape over a sponged oval shadow. The sentiment was stamped, cut into two sections, then popped up with foam tape as well.

Birthday Wishing Well
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is a 'miniatures' expert, Minnur! Wow, there are so many shadow boxes, cards, and creative projects to look at in her gallery. I loved the country feel, sunflowers, and rich colors of this gorgeous shadowbox, so I incorporated those colors and some country elements in my card. For my card, I clear embossed the Honeycomb Background on the mustard card base, cut a banner from the ODBD 'Blooming Garden' Paper Collection, cut the sentiment panel from the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies set, stamped the 'Wishing Well' image onto a panel cut with the ODBD Custom 'Ovals' Dies, stamped the bee from the 'Butterfly and Bugs' set, then cut him out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies set. Other than the added pearls, this card is flat and should mail easily.

Woo Hoo, it's Your Birthday!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast has a fun twist.....it's all about the envelopes first and cards second! Since I will be personally delivering this envelope and card to my nephew for his birthday, instead of leaving a space on the envelope for the address, I die cut his name instead. I have used the 'Who Loves You?' set from North Coast Creations, the NCC Custom 'Owl Family' Dies set, the Wood Background stamp by Our Daily Bread designs, and the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies set for a cloud template. The Wood Background was stamped onto the edges of the envelope and card panel, the tree limb was stamped, then using a black journal marker, doodled the edge of the tree so that it would match up with the limb. The owlie was colored with markers, adding a little pointilism for a little extra dimension.
Here is a close-up of the envelope and card:

Spring Wishing Well
Hello, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge at Splitcoast is to share what your little piece of the world is all about. I live in farm country....it's 'mostly' quiet except for when the four-wheelers come out to play or the cows next door get a little 'randy'! lol!!! My card today is very green, which is what my neighborhood will look like come spring! For my card today, I used the 'Wishing Well' set by Our Daily Bread designs, along with the Gingham Background stamp, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, and ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops (for sponging clouds).

Wishing You Success!
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge 575 at Splitcoast is a fun one.....I love clean and simple sketches!! Instead of a circle, I used a star, plus I flipped it to the left side. For my card, I used the ODBD Custom 'Wishing' Die, a sentiment from 'Wishing Words', some stars from the ODBD Custom 'Sparkling Stars' Dies, curved die from the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Border' Dies, and two patterns from the ODBD 'Patriotic Paper Collection'. The sentiment was heat embossed in white onto the navy blue card base. For the Wishing die, I used stars to dot the I's since the dots would have been near invisible against the designer paper. The curved star panel was created by using the 'non-leafy' curved die from the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Border' Dies; after making the first cut, the die was lined up again parallel to the first cut...very easy if you use re-positional tape.

Your Mercies Are New Every Morning
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Gunilla aka gunilla.holmqvist. Congrats, Gunilla!!! Wow, what an amazing gallery....I'm in love with her creative clean and simple style!!! I chose this beautiful card to case....loved the cut out words, loved the aqua/purple/green color combo and the birdie was a perfect touch! I am using one of the new Bible journaling stamps from Our Daily Bread designs, Your Mercies, along with the greenery flourish from the Belles Vignes set around the edges. Since I do not have a journaling Bible, I have been creating bookmarks and cards with the journaling stamps. The Your Mercies stamp was stamped twice in Stazon; the largest bird and all of the words were fussy cut and popped up for dimension onto the rectangle base which was sponged in aqua and the 'Belle Vignes' vines stamped on the edges. The dimensions of this card are 6 x 3-1/2...good thing I have lots of 12x12 cardstock in my stash!

Mint Chocolate Refuge
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from a Winter White Pinterest board......I fell in love with the color combo from this photo of hot cocoa, so I used mint green, espresso brown, and a touch of light blue in my card. The 'My Refuge' stamp is one of seven new Bible Journaling stamps from Our Daily Bread designs. Since I do not have a journaling Bible, I made a card instead. The stamp was inked in mint green, then the scripture was colored in brown with a marker before stamping onto white. Once the panel was trimmed, light blue and brown were sponged around the edges. The border die is from the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Dies set and the little flowers on the card base were stamped with the Boho Love set. To mimic the cocoa sprinkles from the photo, some brown ink was spritzed over the image.

Rockin' With Elvis!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Kathy LeDonne.....woo hoo, congrats, Kathy!!! I chose this rockin' card to case...super fun silhouette and I loved the stenciling and colors. For my card, I heat-embossed everything in black, then sponged blue, green, and yellow as Kathy did on her card. The background is Our Daily Bread designs' 'Grunge Piano Background', the tiny music notes are from 'Just a Note', also by ODBD. The Elvis silhouette and sentiment are from Crackerbox Rubber Stamps. The dies I used for the image and sentiment are from Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Rectangles Dies, ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies, and ODBD Custom Ovals Dies.

Watercolor Wishes
Happy Saturday! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from The Wildlands Etsy store which features the coolest modern watercolor art.....I chose this gorgeous butterfly for my inspiration piece. For my card, I made a negative die cut mask from the ODBD Custom Fancy Fritillary Dies set, used both sponging and watercoloring (with Pearl Glimmer Mist instead of water), then added some splatters of turquoise after the mask was removed. I used the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies and ODBD Custom Circles Dies to emboss around the butterfly. To finish the card, I added paper piercing, baker's twine, the ODBD Custom 'Wishing' Die and the 'Wishing Words' set for the sentiment. I will save this for one of my many nieces' birthdays coming up.

Our Daily Bread designs January New Releases!
Happy New Year!! Welcome to the ODBD January New Release Party!!! What better way to celebrate than with some new goodies from Our Daily Bread designs! You can see the entire new release HERE! If you'd like to win $ for stamps at Our Daily Bread designs, follow the instructions here:
* Cathy * Julie * Dawn * Robin C. * Robin T. * Lori * Sandee *
* Angie (that's me!) * Lisa * Chris * Sabrina * Diana * Silke *
Here are the new and previously released items from Our Daily Bread designs, which are featured in my two projects today:
My first project is an 8x8 journal page. The new 'My Shepherd' journaling stamp was stamped on the left side of the panel, colored with markers, then a clear Glaze Pen was used on the sheep so that the sponged clouds wouldn't turn them blue...it was much easier to glaze them rather than mask them. The lamb from 'The Shepherd' was stamped three times using masking, colored parts of them with a blush marker and sponged the grass with green ink before adhering the fence which was cut with the ODBD Custom Fence Die. The cloud background was created by sponging aqua ink over a template cut from the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies set. Some of my fave scriptures were printed from my pc, trimmed by hand, edges sponged, then popped up with foam tape. (Note: for a closer look, click on the photo.) This was very fun to make....I can't wait to create the next page for my scripture journal scrapbook.
My 2nd project is a bookmark. These new stamps were designed with Bible Journaling in mind, but they make the best bookmarks too!!! The white panel was cut out with the largest die in the ODBD Custom Bookmarks Dies set; the outside mat was trimmed by hand on the curved lines and trimmed with a paper cutter on the straight edges. Once 'The Anchor' image was stamped, the rope, anchor, shells, and clouds were colored with markers then coated with a clear Glaze Pen. Once the glaze was dry, I put the panel back into the die, then used sponges to color in the rest....the glaze pen acted as a resist. By putting the white panel back in the die before sponging, the white edge stays protected. I was going to give this to someone at church, but it makes me happy so I think I'll keep this one and make more bookmarks for my church group!
