Hello there!! I'm back with another Sneak Peek.....can't get enough of the new stamps from Our Daily Bread designs!!! This card features the new "Anchor for the Soul" set, which will be available on August 1st....only two sleeps away!! :)
I used the Sketch Challenge from Splitcoast for the layout. The image was stamped in Stazon Jet Black, then colored with markers and sponges. I cut out a mask to cover the image while I sponged the background scene over pieces of scratch paper. For the #2 panel, I cut a piece of burlap ribbon in half, frayed the edges, then used the leftover strings to stretch across the image and tie in the button. This is a birthday card for a co-worker....his fave color is navy blue, so I designed the card around that.
I will be submitting this to the ODBD Shining the Light Challenge, for sponging or stenciling....you still have a few more days to enter!!!
I'll probably see you again tomorrow with one more sneak peek before the release on Friday!!!

My Lifeguard
Hi, everyone!! Here is another sneak peek for the August release from Our Daily Bread designs. The image and sentiment are from 'My Lifeguard', which will be available on August 1st. For my card, I temporarily adhered two pieces of scratch paper to my white card, then stamped and sponged the scene before removing the masks. I wanted to keep it simple as possible, so just added a button and linen thread. I will be submitting this to the Our Daily Bread designs 'Shining the Light Challenge' which is to stencil or use sponging.
Thanks again for visiting with me!!

Happy Summer Flip Flops
Hello there!! Here is a second entry for this week's Splitcoast Color Challenge of aqua, teal, and coral. The flip flop border stamp and sentiment are from 'Life is Better', cut out with the 'ODBD Custom Flip Flop Border Die', and the shells were fussy cut from the image in the 'Anchor the Soul' set, all available August 1st from Our Daily Bread designs. Behind the flip flops is a panel which was embossed with 'Sand' embossing powder. Wanted to keep it simple so added a couple of scored lines with my Scor-buddy, some baker's twine, and two aqua pearls.

Let Jesus Lead the Way
Hi, everyone!! Woo hoo....it's the first day for Sneak Peeks from Our Daily Bread designs August New Releases!!! Today's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast gave a perfect opportunity to showcase the new 'Walk with Jesus' set (available Aug 1st). The Color Challenge is to use Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, and Pool Party with the 'dessert' option of watercoloring, so I cut a panel of smooth watercolor paper and used the three colors to lightly watercolor streaks for the background, matted it with coral, paper pierced the edges, then popped it up over the Pool Party card base.
Don't forget about the big sale over at Our Daily Bread designs and sister companies North Coast Creations and Artistic Outpost through Saturday, August 2nd!!

Framed Aster
Happy Monday!! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use your "Little Ribbon Scraps".....I immediately thought of some celery grosgrain in my stash....have about 20 2-inch pieces leftover from a mass project several years ago, so I was happy to build a card around one of those pieces which I cut into two leaves. I used two square dies to create a frame which was popped up over a square panel stamped in celery with the Gingham Background from Our Daily Bread designs. The flower was cut from the ODBD Custom Asters and Leaves Die set, sponged in daffodil. The sentiment is from the "Rose" set, also from ODBD, cut out with an oval punch.
Psssst......if you like the flower I created using the ODBD Custom Asters and Leaves Dies, you will be thrilled to know that they are on sale this week, along with many other items.....check out the news HERE!!!
Thanks for visiting with me today! FYI: Sneak Peeks for Our Daily Bread designs' August New Release begin tomorrow, so stay tuned!!!

Berry Sweet Strawberries
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoastis Heidi Tekunoff aka stamptek......congrats, Heidi!!! I chose this gorgeous card to recreate today using the following products from Our Daily Bread designs: Strawberries & Pickles (strawberry image), Strawberries (sentiment), ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Dies, ODBD Custom Beautiful Border Dies (which I embossed instead of cut and hand trimmed the bottom edge.) After adhering the white panel to the red cardstock, I used my regular paper piercer at the top and an ornare piercing tool (sharper and smaller tip) to pierce the imprints from the embossed border die. I couldn't resist and added some gingham ribbon and a bow tied with my Bow Easy, plus two pearls in the corner. To see a close up of the embossed border die and piercing, please click on the photo.

Three Challenge Combo Cards!
Happy Saturday, everyone!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Leif Shop......I loved the colors of this phone case. The background of my card was stamped with the smaller floral image from the ODBD Be Joyful set, then colored with markers. Seeing the phone case with the camera cut-out inspired me to have a cut out as well, so I used a circle die to cut out a section, then stamped the sentiment in the negative space. I have also incorporated the Friday Free4All Challenge, which was to use a stamp repeatedly to create a background.
My second card was a work in process all week.....each day before work I would spend a few minutes on it and finally got it finished....whew!! I combined the Color Challenge in which I chose Daffodil, Strawberry, and Olive (and the dessert option of 'summer', the Sketch Challenge, and the Ways To Use It Challenge which was to use dots. The strip of designer paper is from the ODBD 'Blooming Garden Collection' and the stamps are from the ODBD set, 'Zinnia'. The flowers were colored with sponge daubers in daffodil first, then strawberry in the centers. The flowers and leaves were cut with the ODBD Custom Zinnia and Leaves Die set.
My third card today I made for the Queen for the Day Challenge.....congrats to Dianne Beans aka sarahebo....woo hoo!!! I chose this adorable card to recreate using the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set, the Pennant Swag Alphabet stamp set, and a brand new embossing folder (from Darice). The single letters for "have" were stamped one at a time, then cut out with a word window punch; the "fun" letters were stamped then punched out with a star punch. Using a paper piercer, I made holes at the top of each pennant, then sewed baker's twine through them. The colors for this card were inspired from another piece from the Leif Shop, this tea towel.
Thanks for visiting with me today!!
Have a blessed weekend!!

Serenity Beach
Happy Monday, everyone!!! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'A Day At The Beach'. I used a $1 clearance stamp which I bought at JoAnn's several years ago, along with a sentiment from the Our Daily Bread designs set, 'The Waves on the Sea'. The water was sponged over a piece of scratch paper and the clouds were sponged over a scalloped circle. The palm trees were stamped an extra time, cut out and popped up with foam tape; the beach was paper-pieced using a scratch piece of unknown paper which had a sandy look. The only embellishment I used was some cotton ribbon.
****Before I go, I have to let ya'all know that there is a huge sale going on at Our Daily Bread designs and both of their sister companies, North Coast Creations and Artistic Outpost. The sale will run thru Saturday, July 26 at 11pm EDT. Save 25% on selected products.....please visit each site for details.

Football Birthday Banner
Hi, everyone!! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the talented Karren Johnson aka Karrenj.....congrats, Karren!!! I chose this fun card to recreate.....I'm loving the new pennants and banners from Our Daily Bread designs this month.....I used the ODBD Custom Pennants Die set to cut out the pieces for the banner (SEI designer paper) and the little letters were stamped with the Pennant Swag Alphabet, then cut out with a circle punch and popped up with foam tape. The sentiment at the bottom is from Little Boys, also from Our Daily Bread designs.

It's Coming Up Roses!
Woo hoo, welcome to the weekend!!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a photo from Country Curtains for your inspiration......I LOVE Country Curtains.....I have been a customer there for nearly 18 years! Browsing through their site, I fell in love with the yummy colors of this ensemble, so I used two patterns from the ODBD Blushing Rose Collection, the rose panel and the pre-printed sentiment panel which was cut out with the ODBD Custom Vintage Labels Die Set. On each side of the rose panel are die cuts from the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die set. The card design comes from this beautiful card, created by this week's Queen for the Day, Katie Sims aka MattsGirl.....what a fabulous gallery!!

Birthday Stars and Banners
Happy Friday!!! I woke early this morning, so I had time to play before work!! Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge at Splitcoast is 'bright and beautiful'....use bright colors. I thought of the color orange right away since it's out of my comfort zone. I used some Making Memories designer paper to create a birthday card for my nephew. The Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped with the Pennant Swag 2 set in teal and the letters were trimmed down by hand and adhered to the swags cut with the ODBD Custom Pennant Swag Die. The letters for 'Caleb' were stamped with the Pennant Alphabet, trimmed by hand and layered onto the pennants cut with the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set. Guy cards normally do not have pearls, but I couldn't resist since these matched perfectly!
Thanks for visiting! See you back here tomorrow! (Saturday is my very favorite stampy day of the week!!)

Looking Back.....the ODBD July New Releases
Hi, everyone! Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs July Release. Here is a project I created using a variety of new stamps and dies plus some which were previously released. I love how easy it is to mix and match stamps and dies from Our Daily Bread designs!!
First of all, the shadow-box frame I purchased a couple of years ago, either at Archiver's or Hobby Lobby....so sorry I can't remember, but rumor has it that you can still find them here and there. Inside the package was a template to help cut out your papers for decorating.....I was sure thankful for that! :) (Below are close-ups of each section and descriptions of products used.)
Each section is decorated with the ODBD Blushing Rose Designer Paper Collection; the green polka dot paper is from the ODBD Rustic Beauty Designer Paper Collection; the butterflies were stamped using the Butterfly Stamped-By Mini and cut out by hand.
The top section in the photo below also features a scripture from Cherry Blossom, the ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die Set (mitered at the top) and ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set (under the roses).
For the center section, I stamped the letters using the Pennant Alphabet Set, then cut them out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Die Set.
For the lower section, I used a verse from Scripture Collection 13, ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set, and ODBD Beautiful Borders Die Set (mitered at the bottom).
This cross-frame was a gift to my sister-in-law who just turned 40.....I wanted to make something special to help her to cope with the big 4-0 reality! Below is the matching birthday card for her, featuring the Pennant Swag 2 set, ODBD Custom Pennant Swag Die, ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set, Butterfly Stamped-By Mini, and the Blushing Rose Collection (designer paper by ODBD).

Seeds of Friendship
Hi, everyone!! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use at least three colors from the Design Seed Color Palette shown HERE. For my card I used Barely Banana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Cameo Coral, and Pear Pizazz, plus I included the "dessert option" and used a flower. The Bee Balm single and sentiment from The Good Seed were stamped directly onto the card; the Hummingbird single was stamped on a separate piece then cut out with the ODBD Custom Hummingbird Die, then popped up with foam tape. Both images were colored with markers. (All stamps by Our Daily Bread designs.)

Heaven and Earth
Hello!!! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Heather aka Rica.....congrats, Heather!! I chose this beautiful card to case since I loved the embossing resist technique, sentiment banner, and paper piercing. For my card, I started with glossy paper, stamped the Dahlia and Butterfly Single images in versamark, heat embossed with Ranger Antique White embossing powder, then sponged coral, pink, and yellow ink onto the panel, then buffed off the excess ink with a rag (embossing resist technique). The sentiment panel was cut by hand, stamped with a scripture from Happy Birthday, paper pierced, then popped up with foam tape. (All stamps used are from Our Daily Bread designs.)

Butterfly Banner
Hi, again!! I'm back with another card for the Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast......this time around I chose this gorgeous color combo to help me to create a birthday card for my neice, who loves purple and pink. The light purple oval was sponged through an oval die cut-out onto the card base. The butterfly image from Faith was stamped twice, cut out once with the ODBD Custom Butterfly Branch Die, and the butterflies were cut out again by hand then popped up with foam tape for dimension. The banner was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Swag Die, sponged in light purple and orchid, then the single letters from the Pennant Swag Alphabet set were stamped, cut out with a circle punch, then popped up with foam tape onto the banner. Crystal Effects glaze was added to the berries and butterfly bodies.

40th Birthday Roses
Happy Saturday, everyone!! My favorite challenge of the week over at Splitcoast is the Saturday Inspiration Challenge.....this week we are to choose a color palette from The Perfect Palette blog.....I loved the vintage colors of this beautiful color combo. I needed to make a birthday card for my sister-in-law's 40th birthday, but wasn't sure which style to go with. The Blushing Rose Collection designer paper pack from Our Daily Bread designs was just right! The pennant sentiments from Pennant Swag 2 was stamped in brown onto a lighter pattern from the Blushing Rose Collection, then cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Swag Die. I traced some chipboard numbers onto the designer paper, fussy cut, sponged the edges, then popped up with foam tape. The Butterfly Stamped-by Mini was fussy cut as well. The Zva roses were adhered over a flourish from the ODBD Custom Fancy Foliage Die Set.
Since I'm off to an early start, I think I'll choose another color palette and head back to my stamp room. See you later, alligator!!

Tranquility of the Sea
Happy Friday!! Woo hoo, the weekend is almost here!!! Do you have any fun plans? If the humidity is low, I will definitely spend some time outside, but if not, my air-conditioned stamp room always welcomes me!!
Today's Friday Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create a project with a vacation theme.....I needed another masculine birthday card, so I chose to use the ocean image from "The Mighty Sea", a sentiment from the "Fishing" Mini-set and a new banner die from the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set.....all from Our Daily Bread designs. The card design is based on this gorgeous card from the immense gallery of Janine aka Jay_Bee, who was just dubbed Queen for the Day......congrats, Janine!!! Instead of designer paper, I chose to use burlap ribbon instead for more of a masculine look, plus it matches the linen thread which was wrapped around the banner tag. The scene was colored partly with markers and some sponging with ink pads and sponge daubers.
As always, thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Soar Like An Eagle
Hi, everyone! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers is "Tantalizing Texture"....use at least three types of texture on your project....I used dry embossing, distressed edges, and hand stitching with linen thread. I needed a masculine birthday card, so I chose the mountain image from Keep Climbing; the small letters (cut out with a small square punch and popped up with foam tape) and the banners at the bottom are both from the new Pennant Swag Alphabet Set (all stamps by Our Daily Bread designs).

Aster Thank You
Hi there!! Today's Color Challenge at Splitcoast is coral, daffodil, and olive......I just had to make a quick card before work today since these are some of my fave colors! I used daffodil and olive cardstock with the ODBD Custom Asters and Leaves Die Set, sponged the centers of the flowers with coral and stamped a sentiment from the Ornate Borders Sentiments stamp set, also from Our Daily Bread designs. The one layer design was inspired by this gorgeous card by Karen Dunbrook, who is the Featured Artist for the Clean and Simple Challenge this week.

Casing Karen - Birthday Banner
Hello!! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge is to choose an item from Karen Dunbrook's amazing gallery to case....I chose this adorable birthday card to recreate. Instead of designer paper, I used white with a polka dot embossing folder; instead of buttons for the banners, I used pearls. The banners were cut with the new ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set and the sentiment is from Sentiments Collection 2. The designer paper, along with the dies and stamp, is also from Our Daily Bread designs, called the "Rustic Beauty Collection".

Double Feature - Case x 2
Hi, everyone! Hope you all are having a fabulous holiday weekend!
Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Nancy Thomas aka nancyt.....congrats, Nancy!! I chose this wonderful card from her amazing gallery to recreate using some dies and stamps from Our Daily Bread designs. The boat was created out of three dies from the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set plus half of a punched circle. The sails were made by using the largest pennant die with white cardstock then cutting it in half. Instead of a rectangle for the sentiment panel like Nancy's card, I decided to use a banner from the Pennants Die Set along with a stamp from the Bookmarks-Verses set. The designer paper is from the ODBD Christian Faith Collection and the clouds in the center section were sponged over a scalloped circle.
My second card I made for the Queen for the Day Challenge, also at Splitcoast. This week's Queen is Marion Rivas aka mr33634....congrats, Marion!! I chose this beautiful CAS card to recreate. Instead of using an embossing folder, I used the ODBD Daisy Chain Background Die (sponged the centers in yellow and popped up the panel with foam tape); instead of hearts, I cut a flower using the ODBD Asters and Leaves Die Set; the sentiment panel was cut with the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set, stamped with a sentiment from the Ornate Borders Sentiments set, layered onto green ribbon.
Thanks for visiting!
