Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast is a fun one! I love sponging scenes with scratch paper, so I decided to make one scene and cut it into the sections for the sketch layout. I started by stamping one of Our Daily Bread designs' bible journaling stamps, The Anchor, colored the images, coated each with a clear glaze pen, then sponged the scene around it by using scratch paper masks. Some extra sea shells were stamped and cut out for the bottom panel, and some waves were added to the shoreline with a white pen. Some doodling was added to each section for a little interest since the sponging was pretty light.

Beautiful Wishes
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to incorporate circles in your CAS card....I've got tons of polka dots, a button, three black pearls, plus the round holes from paper piercing...circles galore!! I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs in the making of my card: ODBD Custom Pretty Posies Dies, 'Sentiments Collection 2', ODBD Squares Dies, ODBD Stitched Rectangles Dies, and the Old Glory Paper Collection. I will also be submitting this for four of the March Fan Club challenges as well: Central Theme: It's the Little Things (words of kindness plus mini polka dots); Sketch Challenge; Inspiration Challenge; Word Play: M=multi-layer flower, I=ink (black), N=no coloring, I=ink (red for sponging). Also, this week, on the "Less is More" challenge blog, the challenge is to use Polka Dots, so I will add my card there as well.

Pink Hope
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Jenn Shurkus....congrats, Jenn!! I chose this beautiful card to case. I loved the simple elegance of this design with the three butterflies in a row. For my card, I cut three butterflies with the ODBD Custom 'Tres Papillons' Dies from coordinating patterns from the ODBD Easter Card Collection 2016, sponged the edges in pink, popped them up with foam tape and added liquid pearls. The polka dot panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Lavish Layers Dies from the ODBD Pastel Paper Pack. The sentiment from 'Grace's Hope' was white embossed on coordinating pink designer paper, then trimmed into a banner shape. Some sequins were added as an embellishment.

My First Try At Bible Stamping
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge is to use book pages or print for your project. I am submitting this for the challenge since I actually stamped IN a book....a new bible for my nephew's 18th birthday. This was a little nerve-wracking since I had never done any bible journaling and was afraid that I would mess it up, but it turned out okay....whew! All three stamps are from Our Daily Bread designs: the eagle is from 'On Eagle's Wings', the verse is from 'Scripture Collection 1', and the mountain image is from 'Keep Climbing'.
Thanks for visiting today!
Have a blessed weekend!!

Sing From The Soul
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge 585 over at Splitcoast was pretty challenging for me.....it took me a long while to figure out my plan of action. I finally settled on the 'Songbirds' set by Artistic Outpost, plus the 'Chalkboard Fan Background' by sister company, Our Daily Bread designs. The fancy frame was stamped in gray, fussy cut around the outside, then stamped the songbirds and sentiment in gray as well, then sponged the edges and birdies with cantaloupe. I went way out of my comfort zone and distressed the edges of the background panels...eek!, then sponged them in gray before adhering them to a white mat which was then paper pierced. I didn't have any ribbon that would work with these colors, so I created a banner for an additional sentiment instead.

ODBD Anniversary Week - My Three Favorite Cards
Hi, everyone! As ODBD's Anniversary week is winding down, we have a super fun post for today. Some of my Sistah Sticks and I have picked out three of our personal favorite creations from the past year to share with you. See all of our faves together in this post.
If you'd like to be one of three winners of a gift certificate, follow the instructions below:
* Angie....that's me! * Cathy * Chris * Dawn * Grace * Julie * * Lisa * Lori * Robin * Sabrina * Sandee *
**For each of my three cards, I have copied and pasted the details from the original blog posts (since I was too lazy to re-write them all! lol!!)
My first card was a birthday card for my niece. Here is what I wrote, "She requested purple, green, and black....no problem! Usually it takes me a while to design a card, but this time I instantly thought of the following items from Our Daily Bread Designs which would work together: the awesome butterfly from 'Boho Blessings' (cut out with the largest of the ODBD Custom 'Fancy Fritillary' Dies), the leaf pattern from the 'Beautiful Boho' Paper Collection, the ODBD Custom 'Boho Background' Die, a quote from 'Quote Collection 4', individual letters from the 'Pennant Row Alphabet' set, and the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Row' Dies set. After cutting the ODBD Custom 'Boho Background' out of black cardstock, I cut a TON of little pieces of foam tape in order to pop it up over the designer paper....so worth the time!! The pennant and butterfly were popped up as well. (I am a foam tape addict!!) My niece is an aspiring artist, which is why I chose this particular quote and the word 'Inspire'."
My second fave card was super tedious, but a blast to make....here are the details:
"My project below features the 'Father's Day Tools' single, ODBD Custom 'Workshop Tools' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Tool Time' Dies, and 'Wood Background' stamp. This card was super fun to make, although the fussy cutting the image (and applying foam tape) took four hours total, over the span of several days. The card itself was super easy....it began as an A2 card, then the corners were cut and an oval die was used for the cut out. The card base and front panel were stamped with the ODBD 'Wood Background' stamp, then the edges were sponged for a bit more dimension. The little screws are eyelets which I bought in my first couple months of stamping (15 years ago or so)....I didn't even know what eyelets were, but I loved that they were little screw heads, so I bought them!!! lol!!! The tools were cut from the ODBD Custom 'Workshop Tools' dies and the ODBD Custom 'Tool Time' Dies, then tucked into the pocket which was raised with foam tape."
Here is a close up of the fussy cutting:
My third favorite was a birthday card for my nephew, who loves anything in camouflage and wants to be a soldier when he grows up. Here are the card details:
"My sample today features the new 'Pennant Row Alphabet', the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Row Dies' set, 'Special Boy', 'Fishing Net Background', ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Stitched Ovals' Dies, and ODBD Custom 'Ovals' Dies. To create the cammo pennant, the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Row Die' was cut from Kraft cardstock, the letters from the 'Pennant Row Alphabet' were stamped on white with green, then trimmed by hand and adhered to the die cut piece. Using the same die, I traced the outline onto the cammo designer paper, then cut out by hand. Two little stars cut with the ODBD 'Sparkling Stars' Dies were the anchors for the ends. The monster truck from 'Special Boy' was stamped on white and also on the cammo paper; parts of the truck were colored with markers and the cammo section was cut out and paper-pieced onto the image. The banners were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies, the army net background was stamped with the 'Fishing Net Background' stamp, and the scene behind the truck was sponged in kraft and aqua."
Thanks for stopping by!
