Go Cubbies!
Hi, everyone! This week's Color Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use Red, White, and Blue with the dessert option of 'anything goes'....I choose 'stars'. My co-worker loves the Chicago Cubs, so I created this for his birthday. All of the dies I used are from Divinity Designs LLC: Double Stitched Pennant Flags (Resized), Double Stitched Rectangles, Circles, Letter Board, Alphabet Caps, and Sparkling Stars. The white panel is embossed with tiny stars. The red strip is Real Red ribbon.

NFL Birthday x 2
Hi, everyone!
This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme is 'It's a Banner Day!', so I am posting two birthday cards I made recently, one for a co-worker and one for a friend to give to his brother. For both cards, I used the same items, but personalized them with added touches to match the official jerseys. The stripes on the sleeves were drawn with a journal pen and ruler on a separate piece of cardstock and colored with markers, fussy cut, then glued onto the jerseys. The numbers were fussy cut even though there are coordinating dies.....I didn't want the white outline. For the banners, I used the die re-sizing technique to match the size of the sentiment stamp. Other than the stars embossing folders, the rest of the items used are from Divinity Designs LLC: All-Star Jerseys Stamp/Die Duos, Rectangles Dies, Sparkling Stars Dies, Pennant Flags Dies, Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies, Foam Mounting Tape.

All-Star Wrestling Card
Hi, everyone!
This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'All Stars'. My card today was created for a young man who is excelling on his high school wrestling team; the jaguar is the school mascot and his wrestling uniform is red and white. I printed out the jaguar image from the school's website, fussy cut the pieces, temporarily adhered them to red cardstock, then cut out the individual pieces which were then adhered to the white panel. The background panel was embossed with a tiny star embossing folder. The dies I used are from Divinity Designs LLC: Sparkling Stars, Pierced Squares, A2 Thin Pierced Frame, A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer, and Pierced Rectangles (on the inside). The jaguar and tiny stars were coated with a clear glaze pen, so the photo makes them look darker. The frame and panels were popped up with Foam Mounting Tape. On the inside is a scripture verse from the 'Teamwork' stamp set which reads, 'Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.' 1 Cor 10:31.

Play Ball!
Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge theme is 'summertime fun'. My Buford card from yesterday would have fit this perfectly! Another fave summer past-time is baseball. This card is a belated birthday card for my friend's son, Zach. When asked what type of uniform would he design for himself, he was very creative with the parameters: black and gold, the team name would be the Tornadoes and his fave number is 16. I had a blast customizing this card for him. Here are the items from ODBD used in Zach's card: All-Star Jersey stamps, Pennant Swag Solid Alphabet, and these ODBD Custom Dies: Sports Jerseys Dies, Pennant Swag Die, Alphabet Dies, Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies, Pennant Flags Dies, and Sparkling Stars Dies. Some leftover strips of the gold metallic cardstock were adhered to the sleeves so that it would look more realistic. I will also be submitting this to the June Fan Club Central Theme Challenge due to the sports theme, plus the white panel was scored using my Scor-buddy.

Play Ball!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Christmas Tree Shops site....I chose this adorable baseball lamp for my inspiration. The red stitching on the lampshade gave me the idea to use some hand-stitching on my card. The stamps I used today are from the 'Baseball' Stamp/Die Duos set; the 'baseball' was cut from the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Circles Dies; a die from the ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies set was used to trace the outline for the stitches; a small paper piercer was used to pierce the holes; some red embroidery thread was used to sew the stitches. I will also be submitting this to the 'Less Is More' challenge which is to use something on your CAS card which you would not normally use.....my unusual item is embroidery thread and hand-stitching.

#1 Steeler's Fan!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast is Diane aka HappyInMarco....congrats, Diane! I chose this beautiful card to case today because I loved the layered rectangular framing...clean layouts like this really speak to me! I have used the All-Star Jersey set and ODBD Custom Sports Jerseys Dies from Our Daily Bread designs. I absolutely love these jerseys, which make it so easy to customize your projects with whatever color themes or numbers you need! This is a birthday card for my nephew, Caleb, who is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and his favorite player is running back Le'Veon Bell. I added the stripes on the sleeves with a black marker and ruler, then colored them with yellow. The sentiment panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies set. The tiny stars are from the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies and the rectangles were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. This was so quick and fun to make!!!

Clean and Simple Soccer Card
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create a monochromatic card with a pop of color in the image. This is a perfect opportunity to ink up the 'Soccer' Stamp/Die Duos set from ODBD. This was a super simple and quick design with basic stamping. The tiny red heart was cut with the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies set.

Baskeball Jersey
Hi, everyone! My card today was made for a co-worker's birthday. He runs a basketball league on the weekends, his favorite colors are turquoise and lime green, plus his favorite number is 4. This card was super fun to make! The background was stamped all over with the image from the ODBD 'Basketball' Stamp/Die Duos set, then colored with sponges (and a black marker) using reverse masking. Both this panel and the sentiment panel were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The jersey from 'All-Star Jersey' was stamped on white, the green sections were colored in green then 'sealed' with a clear glaze pen before sponging the jersey with turquoise ink. The jersey and number 4 were cut out using the ODBD Custom Sports Jerseys Dies. The little stars were cut out with the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies. I will be submitting this to the DTGD17margscardcrazyB challenge over at Splitcoast.

Our Daily Bread designs August New Releases!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the New Release party for Our Daily Bread designs! This month's theme is all about sports and I am super stoked to have more awesome stamps in my arsenal to create customized cards for my large family!!! To see the entire release in one place, click HERE! If you'd like a chance to win some goodies from ODBD, please follow the instructions below:
* Cathy * Grace * Angie (that's me!) * Sandee * Kathy * Diana *
* Dawn * Lisa * Chris * Lori * Helen *
Here are the new and previously released items featured in my two cards today:
My first card features the Volleyball Stamp/Die Duos set, with an Olympics twist! I absolutely LOVE beach volleyball when the Olympics roll around, so I colored the volleyball with yellow and blue plus made some sandy hills by tearing and sponging kraft cardstock. The kraft and white panels were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. The clouds were sponged over a template cut with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies. The "net" was created by cutting a strip from a recycled onion bag (this proves to my hubby that I am a pack-rat for a reason! lol!!) I used yellow baker's twine to mimic the top and bottom of the net. The Volleyball word was stamped on a white panel cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies (sponged to match the sky) and matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies.
My second card features the Softball Stamp/Die Duos set. I played softball in my early twenties and absolutely loved it, so I was excited to see this new set! I was extra excited knowing that I had one piece of florescent yellow cardstock in my stash...yay!! The polka dot paper is from the ODBD Old Glory Paper Collection and matched the red stitching really well. The "home plate" was created by cutting a rectangle with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, then carefully cutting diagonally with a die from the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies. (I practiced with scratch paper to get the measurements just right.) The Eat, Sleep, Play sentiment was stamped one word at a time onto small rectangles cut out with the ODBD Custom Log Cabin Quilt Die. (Tip: I LOVE using this quilt die since it has so many different sized rectangles for small sentiments!) The Softball word was stamped then cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies; the mat was cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies.
Thanks for hanging out with us!
Blessings,
