Hi, everyone! For this week's Sketch Challenge over at SplitcoastStampers, I have used a new stamp set, Shine Bright, from Divinity Designs LLC, (to be released on Saturday, August 1st), along with these items: Fishing Net Background stamp; Dies: Treat Tags, Pierced Squares, Squares, Pierced Rectangles, and A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer. I paired up kraft and grey for a neutral look, with the yellow as the only pop of color. A yellow gemstone and linen thread was added as finishing touches.

Double Feature for Featured Stamper
Hi, everyone! I have two cards for this post, both for the Featured Stamper challenge over at Splitcoast. Last Sunday's card took all week to finish, so I'm posting cards for both last week's and this week's featured artist.
This week's Featured Stamper is Debby Hughes aka limedoodle....congrats, Debby!! I fell in love with this awesome shaker card. I had two rounds of trial and error trying to create an acceptable watercolor panel, so I went with designer paper instead. Instead of a sentiment strip, I chose a die cut sentiment. Here are the items from Divinity Designs LLC which I used to create this shaker card: from the July Blessings Box: Geometric Paper Pad, Pierced Balloon Shakers Dies and Sequins; Pierced Squares, Celebrate and Wish Dies.
Last week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Debra aka derck.....congrats, Debra! When I saw this beautiful card with the stars and the circle sentiment panel, it gave me the idea to make a door hanger. I started by cutting out the base and layers, then cut through with a circle die. Here are the following items used in creating this door hanger: America The Beautiful Slimline Paper Collection; Dies: Slimline Scalloped Rectangles, Slimline Rectangles, Slimline Layering Rectangles, Scalloped Circles, Circles, Long and Lean Letters, Letter Board, and Baby Blessings. All of the letters were cut out of red and blue and layered together (this took a while!) before adhering to the designer paper.

Nautical Shirt Card
Hi, everyone! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is 'High Fashion'....create a card with any type of clothing or footwear. My card is very simple....no stamping....just designer paper and die cuts. The card base was cut with the Couture Collection Dies, the shirt pieces were cut from the 'Everyday Shirt' Dies set and the designer paper is from the 'Cool and Casual' Paper Collection. All items are from Divinity Designs LLC. This card was quick and easy....the hardest part is handling those tiny buttons! :)

Berry Blessed!
Hi, everyone! For this week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast, I paired up a white-washed pattern from the Weathered Wood Paper Collection with the 'Raspberries' set, both from Divinity Designs LLC. The image was stamped three times with Stazon Jet Black directly onto the designer paper, then colored with markers. The berries were coated with a clear glaze pen for a little shine. The panel was cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies, adhered to a mat cut with the Matting Rectangle Die, olive linen thread was added, then the panel was adhered to a kraft card base which was cut with the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer Dies set. Yellow sequins from the April Blessings Box were added to coordinate with the blooms.

Your Mercies Are New Every Morning
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from Fine Gardening. This past week I stamped and cut out this 'Your Mercies' bible journaling stamp from Divinity Designs LLC to use with the new Slimline Dies but didn't have time to color and finish it. When I saw the yellow Trumpet Creeper flowers, they gave me the push I needed to get it finished. I had intended to color them purple like the wild ones I remember as a child, but these yellow beauties changed my mind! Here are the dies used: Slimline Card Base, Slimline Scalloped Rectangles, Slimline Rectangles, Slimline Layering Rectangles, Slimline Flower Petal Background, and Clouds and Raindrops (for the sponged clouds). The die cut background was popped up on foam tape over a white panel on which the Wrinkle Free Distress technique was used with yellow ink. Matching baker's twine was added for a simple embellishment.

God is Good All the Time!
Hi, everyone! You guessed it......time for another Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast!! For my card this week, I began by creating a Wrinkle Free Distress Panel with Navy, Green, and Brown ink pads. Once the panel was dry, it was cut out with the Pierced Rectangles Dies. The sentiment and image are from the 'God's Timing' set by Divinity Designs LLC; the clock image was inked with markers using the Thumping method and then stamped multiple times onto the card base and again on white then cut out with the Pocket Watch Dies set. The sentiment was cut out of the background panel with the Large Banners Dies, using the Die-Resizing Technique to create just the perfect size....check out this technique HERE. Burlap ribbon and linen thread were added as finishing touches.

Divinity Designs LLC July New Release
Hi, everyone! Happy July!! It's time for another New Release from Divinity Designs LLC!! We are so excited.....our Slimline Dies are finally here!!! Check out the new Slimline dies and papers, some gorgeous new summer-time stamps, many beautiful designer projects, plus info on how to win some goodies....all by clicking HERE!
Here are the products featured in my two cards for today:
My first card features the following products: Slimline Card Base Die, Slimline Rectangles Dies, Slimline Pierced Window Die, Slimline Curvy Slopes Dies, Beautiful Blooms Slimline Sized Paper Pad, Treat Tags Dies, Clouds and Raindrops Dies, and the 'Thanks a Bunch' Stamp/Die Duos set. No fancy techniques...just layering of dies, sponged clouds, and water-colored image.
For my next card, I used the new 'Strawberries' stamp set, some red polka dot paper from the 'Birthday Brights' Paper Pad, and the following dies: Slimline Grasses, Lever Card with Layers, Fence, Squares, and Clouds and Raindrops with which I made a cloud stencil for the inside panel. This is the view of the front when the card is closed. The image was stamped with Stazon Jet Black onto watercolor paper; a clear glaze pen dotted the strawberry seeds before water-coloring so that they would stay white. The image was masked and the background was sponged with aqua ink.
Here is the open view which shows the continuation of the grass and fence.
Below is a sneak peek of the new 'Raspberries' set which I shared on Sunday....click here for the deets!
