Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from Converse....I knew that they still made shoes, but had no idea of the variety! I chose these awesome sneakers as inspiration....the purple and black combo really flipped my switch! What I created is not a card but a letterboard sign for my Mother-in-law's utility closet at work. (All stamps and dies used are from Divinity Designs.) The black letterboard, letters, and lilac frame were cut with the Letter Board Dies set (available July 1st); the butterflies were stamped and cut with the Butterfly and Bugs Stamp/Die Duos set (a clear glaze pen was used to add dots to the wings before coloring as a resist agent); other dies used: Fence, Grass Lawn, and Scalloped Squares.

Divinity Designs LLC Color Combo Design Team Challenge - June
Hi, everyone! This month's Design Team Color Challenge of pink, yellow, and lavender are based on the pretty patterns from the Spring Flowers Paper Collection. My clean and simple design uses one floral pattern and three solids from the paper pack. The frame was cut out by nesting the two largest dies from the Pierced Rectangles set then popped up with foam tape over the white card base. The three balloons were cut and embossed with the Birthday Balloons Dies; a clear glaze pen coated the tiny embossed hearts; foam tape was used to pop them up for dimension. Baker's twine was threaded through the opening on the tag which was stamped with the 'Treat Tag Sentiments #3' stamp set, cut out with the Treat Tags Dies set, then popped up with foam tape.
Thanks for hanging out with me today! Check out the other designer samples HERE and HERE.

Love Celebrating You!
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to use balloons on your CAS cards. This is a perfect opportunity to use a new stamp set from Stampin Up, 'Hand Delivered'. The image pieces were black heat-embossed on white cardstock and onto a floral pattern from the Petal Promenade designer paper pack....on the back of the floral design was a marble pattern, so I alternated the balloons with the two designs. The full white image was fussy cut and the pattern paper was paper-pieced onto it; the leftover sections were colored with markers. The sentiment was heat-embossed onto the card base to coordinate with the image. A punched oval was added as a rug for her to stand on. No embellishments were added.....easier for mailing.

Path to Happiness
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Michelle aka mfb....congrats, Michelle!! I went way back to the beginning of Michelle's gallery and chose this awesome card to case. I used similar colors, but different stamps, and placed the staples in a different spot, but the general design remains. The stamp set used on my card today is 'By The Bay'....I love stamp sets which make it easy for masculine designs! This card only took me about fifteen minutes to make, which is a miracle for me! :)

You Are Bee-utiful!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Fudge and Mabel....wow, such incredible works of art with felt! I fell in love with this felted bee, so tried to recreate it with paper. I used the following items from Divinity Designs to create my card: 'Bee Happy' stamp set, Butterfly and Bugs Stamp/Die Duos, Bitty Blossoms Dies, Double Stitched Circles Dies, Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, Pierced Rectangles Dies, and the Weathered Wood Paper Collection. The blue/gray paper has been in my stash for over ten years...it actually looks like parchment, but matched the look of the felt in the inspiration photo. I will save this card until next month for my niece's birthday.

Take The Scenic Route
Hi, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge theme over at Splitcoast is 'Sunny Skies'....use sunshine or a sky in your project. For my card, I used the 'Adventure Awaits' stamp set and the following die sets from Divinity Designs: USA Map Dies (planes and thumbtack), Cloud Borders (stenciled with the 'Bubbles' Mixed Media Stencil), Curvy Slopes, Trees and Deer, Large Banners, and Pierced Rectangles.

Father's Day Fishing Vest
Hi, everyone! I had a total blast creating three identical Father's Day cards with these super fun die sets from Divinity Designs from the May release! The card base was cut with the Couture Collection Dies, the letters were cut with the Alphabet Flags Dies, and all of the fishing vest pieces and accessories were cut with the Fishing and Hunting Vest Dies. I love that there are so many combinations to choose with the pockets, zippers, snaps, etc.! Once the card was all put together, I used a clear glaze pen to highlight the lure, bobber, zippers, etc. plus some I added some fishing line for fun! To create a sentiment panel for the inside, I traced the inside edge of the shirt die onto white cardstock and cut it by hand...easy peasy!

You Make the World a Better Place!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the amazing Wanda Cullen aka cullenwr....congrats, Wanda!! I chose this awesome alcohol ink card to case today....I love her alcohol ink background and cool layout. For my card, I have used the Globe and Stand Dies (from Divinity Designs) and a sentiment from 'Color My World'. I used a vertical banner since my sentiment was larger, but heat embossed the sentiment as Wanda did on her card. The sentiment was cut with the Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies using the die resizing technique to shorten the length of the die. Though different dies and colors were used, the overall layout remains. I used gold embossing powder and gold metallic cardstock to bring out the gold tones in the Alcohol Ink Background, which was cut out with the Double Stitched Rectangles Dies set. Foam tape was used on the die cut pieces for added dimension against the background. Tiny stars were cut with the USA Map Dies set, then coated with a clear glaze pen to help them stand out a bit.

Divinity Designs LLC June New Releases
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the June new release party for Divinity Designs LLC!! Wow, what an amazing release again this month.....check out the entire release, all of the team's projects, plus info on how to win some goodies by clicking HERE.
Here are the products used in my two card samples for today:
For my first card, the Globe and Stand Dies were cut out of copper metallic paper. The globe frame was adhered over an alcohol ink panel. The globe and stand were then adhered to a panel which was dry embossed and sponged using the Bubbles Mixed Media Stencil and trimmed down with a Pierced Rectangles Die. The sentiment from 'Color My World' was copper heat-embossed one line at a time onto die-cut panels from the Log Cabin Quilt Die. On the inside of the card, the remaining piece of the stenciled panel was adhered to the card base as framing for the sentiment panel. (Tip: when die-cutting rectangle panels, I will center the dies onto an A2 sized panel before cutting. Save the leftover frame to use as a mat later.....this method has saved me tons of cardstock!)
I had a blast creating a quilt design for my next card. The USA Map Dies set was used four times to die cut the navy frame, plus alternating patterns from the Americana Quilt Paper Collection. Per my usual technique for quilt cards, two sticker panels were created with my Xyron Sticker Maker....one for the map and one for the Quilted Background Die. By creating a sticker panel, the quilt pieces do not have to be adhered one at a time....start with the frame and then press each inserted piece onto the sticker. The sentiment from 'Adventure Awaits' was framed using the following dies: Double Stitched Circles, Circles, and Scalloped Circles. The largest of the Scalloped Rectangles Dies was used to mat the main panel and the Bitty Borders Dies was used at the bottom along with red baker's twine. Two tiny hearts cut with the USA Map Dies set were added to Indiana and Arizona, then coated with a clear glaze pen.
