Hi, everyone! This week's Ways To Use It Challenge is all about the number 3: three panels, three folds, etc. I chose three tiny silver hearts for this 1st birthday card for my niece, Molly! This stamp set, 'Princess', from Our Daily Bread designs, is retired, unfortunately, but it's still one of my go-to sets for little girls in my family. The crown was stamped in Stazon Jet Black onto silver metallic paper, then metallic pens were used to color the gems. The tiny hearts were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Umbrellas' Dies set, the large hearts were cut with the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Dies. The crown was fussy cut and wrapped around the top heart panel before adhering to the scalloped mat. The silver '1' was cut out with the ODBD Custom Large Numbers Dies; the polka dot panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The yummy polka dot and coordinating paper is from the ODBD Pastel Paper Pack.

A Mighty Warrior
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Christine Alexander aka calex....congrats, Christine! I fell in love with this clever CAS balloon card. I have been trying to come up with something clever for a birthday card for my nephew, so this balloon design along with the camo background technique from last week just seemed to be a perfect combo! Since the camouflage background technique calls for crumpling the paper, I was unable to copy exactly the masked and sponged balloon like Christine's card but kept the same layout with my die cut balloon. Once the camo background was finished, the balloon was cut out using the ODBD Custom Circle Ornaments Dies, the kraft panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, and the scripture from 'Not Forgotten' was stamped in the corner.

Play Ball!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Christmas Tree Shops site....I chose this adorable baseball lamp for my inspiration. The red stitching on the lampshade gave me the idea to use some hand-stitching on my card. The stamps I used today are from the 'Baseball' Stamp/Die Duos set; the 'baseball' was cut from the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Circles Dies, matted with the ODBD Custom Circles Dies; a die from the ODBD Custom Stitched Ovals Dies set was used to trace the outline for the stitches; a small paper piercer was used to pierce the holes; some red embroidery thread was used to sew the stitches. I will also be submitting this to the 'Less Is More' challenge which is to use something on your CAS card which you would not normally use.....my unusual item is embroidery thread and hand-stitching.

#1 Steeler's Fan!
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast is Diane aka HappyInMarco....congrats, Diane! I chose this beautiful card to case today because I loved the layered rectangular framing...clean layouts like this really speak to me! I have used the All-Star Jersey set and ODBD Custom Sports Jerseys Dies from Our Daily Bread designs. I absolutely love these jerseys, which make it so easy to customize your projects with whatever color themes or numbers you need! This is a birthday card for my nephew, Caleb, who is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and his favorite player is running back Le'Veon Bell. I added the stripes on the sleeves with a black marker and ruler, then colored them with yellow. The sentiment panel was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies and matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies set. The tiny stars are from the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies and the rectangles were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. This was so quick and fun to make!!!

For The Glory of God
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Fitbit Blog.....I discovered this post which showed all of the different badges you can earn and this Shooting Star badge sent me straight to my craft room to make this card! Once the card was finished, I realized by looking at the badge again that I should have used teal instead of turquoise, but too late now! :) I have used the following items for this card: 'Teamwork' stamp set, ODBD Custom Double Stitched Stars, Circles, and Squares Dies, and the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies (tiny stars). (Shortcut tip: the tiny stars were cut out of the center of the large stars to conserve cardstock!)

Clean and Simple Soccer Card
Hi, everyone! This week's Clean and Simple Challenge over at Splitcoast is to create a monochromatic card with a pop of color in the image. This is a perfect opportunity to ink up the 'Soccer' Stamp/Die Duos set from ODBD. This was a super simple and quick design with basic stamping. The tiny red heart was cut with the ODBD Custom Umbrellas Dies set.

North Coast Creations August New Releases!
Hi, everyone! I'm so excited to be joining the design team from North Coast Creations this month for a super fun new release! Though I am featuring just one set (and new awesome paper), there are several more sets to see.....check them all out HERE! To see some gorgeous and fun samples with these new sets, please visit my designer sisters' blogs:
Both of my samples today feature the 'Sprinkled With Love' Stamps and Dies set, along with the NCC 'Sweet Shoppe' Paper Collection and ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. For this card, the scene was sponged using masking with scratch paper and the clouds were sponged over a template cut with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies set. Black hemp was used to tie the donut to the donut truck. My inspiration for creating this fun scene comes from a movie (can't remember the name) in which a lady drags her prize-winning giant pumpkin behind her truck to the county fair but arrives with just a portion of the pumpkin left!
My next card is a shaker card with micro beads. I chose two coordinating papers from the Sweet Shoppe Paper Collection for starters and used the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies to cut the panels. Using the cupcake die, I cut out three openings from the ivory panel. A piece of acetate was adhered to the back of the panel and then the cupcakes were carefully stamped through the cut-out openings onto the acetate. On a piece of white cardstock, three cupcakes were stamped then cut out. The bottom portion of each stamped image was trimmed by hand, colored with markers, then adhered onto the acetate. On the back side of the panel, foam tape walls were placed around the frosting areas, micro-beads were added, the backing removed from the foam tape and a panel was added to seal in the micro-beads. Red metallic dots and baker's twine was added for embellishments.
Bonus: This next card was a sneak peek which I shared on Saturday. I love this fun set!!!

DTGD Get Well Wishes
Hi, everyone! This card was one of the last posted for the Dare To Get Dirty challenges last week at Splitcoast Stampers for Fan Club members. Next year I would love to take a few days off of work during the event since I would LOVE to be able to make one project per challenge and enter in the Queen prize drawings!
For my card, the image from 'As You Graduate' was stamped in Stazon Jet Black then sponged with Melon Mambo, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Sahara Sand. The cantaloupe card base was stamped in Versamark with the 'Trois Jolies Papillons' set, then the sentiment from 'Sending My Love' Stamp/Die Duos was stamped in black at the bottom.

Are You Ready For Some Football?
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Sharon aka shendrian....congrats, Sharon! I chose this beautiful card to case today, but turned it into a masculine card. I loved how the designer paper was cut at an angle and the sentiment stamped at the bottom. I first chose this striped pattern from the ODBD Patriotic Paper Collection; since it had a hint of light blue between the red stripes, I chose a baby blue card base. The football and sentiments are from the 'Football' Stamp/Die Duos set; the stars are all from the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies set. Since my watercolor skills can get a bit sloppy, I used a clear glaze pen to protect the white sections on the football and border, then watercolored the rest of the ball.

I Love You A Hole Lot!
Hi, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from the Houzz website.....this photo reeled me in with the fun donut with sprinkles.....I could use one of those donuts with my coffee right now! :) For my card, I am using the 'Sprinkled with Love' Stamps and Dies set by North Coast Creations. The donut was stamped in black, the sprinkles were highlighted with markers to match the inspiration piece, then I used a clear glaze pen to completely cover the icing area. The extra sprinkles, in matching colors to the markers, were cut out with the ODBD Custom Beverage Cup Dies. The panels were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies.

Baskeball Jersey
Hi, everyone! My card today was made for a co-worker's birthday. He runs a basketball league on the weekends, his favorite colors are turquoise and lime green, plus his favorite number is 4. This card was super fun to make! The background was stamped all over with the image from the ODBD 'Basketball' Stamp/Die Duos set, then colored with sponges (and a black marker) using reverse masking. Both this panel and the sentiment panel were cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The jersey from 'All-Star Jersey' was stamped on white, the green sections were colored in green then 'sealed' with a clear glaze pen before sponging the jersey with turquoise ink. The jersey and number 4 were cut out using the ODBD Custom Sports Jerseys Dies. The little stars were cut out with the ODBD Custom Sparkling Stars Dies. I will be submitting this to the DTGD17margscardcrazyB challenge over at Splitcoast.

Wishing You The Best
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Donna Wicks aka D.Daisy......congrats, Donna! After a 60-hour workweek, I'm too pooped to do much stamping, so I was looking for a simple design to case today to help me create a best wishes card for a co-worker who is leaving us. This gorgeous card was just right! Though mine is a one-layer (and not as elegant), I used a brown image and overstamped in black. The image is from 'Wishing Well' and the sentiments are from 'Wishing Words' Stamp/Die Duos.

Our Daily Bread designs August New Releases!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the New Release party for Our Daily Bread designs! This month's theme is all about sports and I am super stoked to have more awesome stamps in my arsenal to create customized cards for my large family!!! To see the entire release in one place, click HERE! If you'd like a chance to win some goodies from ODBD, please follow the instructions below:
* Cathy * Grace * Angie (that's me!) * Sandee * Kathy * Diana *
* Dawn * Lisa * Chris * Lori * Helen *
Here are the new and previously released items featured in my two cards today:
My first card features the Volleyball Stamp/Die Duos set, with an Olympics twist! I absolutely LOVE beach volleyball when the Olympics roll around, so I colored the volleyball with yellow and blue plus made some sandy hills by tearing and sponging kraft cardstock. The kraft and white panels were cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies. The clouds were sponged over a template cut with the ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies. The "net" was created by cutting a strip from a recycled onion bag (this proves to my hubby that I am a pack-rat for a reason! lol!!) I used yellow baker's twine to mimic the top and bottom of the net. The Volleyball word was stamped on a white panel cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies (sponged to match the sky) and matted with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies.
My second card features the Softball Stamp/Die Duos set. I played softball in my early twenties and absolutely loved it, so I was excited to see this new set! I was extra excited knowing that I had one piece of florescent yellow cardstock in my stash...yay!! The polka dot paper is from the ODBD Old Glory Paper Collection and matched the red stitching really well. The "home plate" was created by cutting a rectangle with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Rectangles Dies, then carefully cutting diagonally with a die from the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies. (I practiced with scratch paper to get the measurements just right.) The Eat, Sleep, Play sentiment was stamped one word at a time onto small rectangles cut out with the ODBD Custom Log Cabin Quilt Die. (Tip: I LOVE using this quilt die since it has so many different sized rectangles for small sentiments!) The Softball word was stamped then cut out with the ODBD Custom Pennant Flags Dies; the mat was cut with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Pennant Flags Dies.
Thanks for hanging out with us!
Blessings,
