Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs Mid-month October New Release party!!! Click HERE to see all of the new dies, stamps, and designer paper!! Would you like to win a gift certificate toward ODBD stamps? Follow the instructions below to find out how:
* Julie * Dawn * Amy * Chris * Cathy * Grace * Sandee *
* Robin T. * Lori * Sabrina * Diana *
For my two projects today, I have used the following products from Our Daily Bread designs:
For my first sample, the scene from 'Peaceful Deer' was stamped in Stazon Black, colored with both watercoloring and markers, then accented with stickles. The window and curtains were cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Window' Dies set. The wallpaper and curtains are from the new 'Christmas Paper Collection 2015'. The sentiment panel and curtains were lined with a gold pen and a bow was made from gold cord and a gold brad.
My second sample also features the 'Peaceful Deer' set, two patterns from the 'Christmas Paper Collection 2015', the ODBD Custom 'Stitched Ovals' Dies, the ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies, and the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders' Dies. The sentiment was stamped, cut out by hand to separate the sections, sponged, then popped up with foam tape. The oval panel was sponged with caramel ink, plus the deer was slightly sponged and the white areas of the deer were accented with a white gel pen.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
God bless!

You're Cool!
Hi, everyone! This is a birthday card for a nephew who is full of energy and super fun.....I chose the perfect sentiment for him and the card built itself around that! The image is from 'Ice Cream' and the sentiment is from 'Ice Cream Shoppe', both from North Coast Creations, sister company to Our Daily Bread designs. Along with the NCC stamps, I also used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders' Dies (curved border), ODBD Custom 'Sparkling Stars' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Ovals' and 'Stitched Ovals' Dies, and the ODBD 'Patriotic Paper Collection'. After coloring the image with sponge daubers and markers, I applied Liquid Applique, then heated it with my heat gun to make it 'poof' up and look like whipped cream....yummy!! I used a glaze pen on the spoon and cherry.

Perfume for a Friend
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Glenda aka must love cats....congrats, Glenda!!! I chose this beautiful card....loved the gingham and clean layout. For my card, I used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: 'Apothecary Bottles' (and the ODBD Custom 'Apothecary Bottles' Dies), 'Lavender', 'Doily Blessings', and the ODBD 'Shabby Rose' Designer Paper Collection. Instead of stitching, I used paper piercing around the edges, and I did add a small sentiment in the corner.

My Lifeguard Walks On Water!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast makes me so anxious for vacation....it's all about shells and the beach!! The photo to my left is one I chose as inspiration for my card today. I needed a masculine card for today, so I chose the 'My Lifeguard' set by Our Daily Bread designs, along with the ODBD 'Fishing Net Background'. The background was sponged using masking, the lifeguard stand was colored with markers, the panel was matted with a brick red cardstock, paper pierced, then adhered over a cut piece of burlap ribbon. The star button was in a sample variety pack I got at CHA about five years ago.....was perfect since it looks a little like a starfish!!

The Cat's Meow
Happy Friday, everyone! My card today was inspired by three different challenges at Splitcoast this week: Sketch Challenge 561 (photo to the left), the Ways To Use It 'Cat' Challenge, and the Friday Free4All Challenge to use two shades of purple....I used Almost Amethyst (retired) and Wisteria Wonder. This is a birthday card for yet another niece who loves purple! (It's a good thing that I love purple since my family is full of purple lovers!!) I used the 'The Cat's Meow' set by Our Daily Bread designs, the ODBD Custom 'Fence' Die, the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies set for the sentiment panel, plus created a cloud stencil from the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies. I wanted a soft color for the Kitty, so I colored the eyes and nose, then used a glaze pen over them for a resist effect, then sponged gray over all and wisteria on the edges of the fussy cut cat. There is a custom die set available, but I forgot to order it...duh! :)

Who Loves You? I Do!
Happy Saturday, everyone! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is all about hearts....we were to choose a photo from the Hearts Pinterest Board and I chose this beautiful wedding photo because I loved the foliage wreath. My niece requested a purple birthday card, which is why I threw the purple in there with the greenery. For my card, I first cut out a heart using the ODBD Custom 'Ornate Hearts' Dies, sponged clouds all over it using the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies, then added the tree branch and adorable owl from the North Coast Creations 'Who Loves You?' set, cut out with the NCC Custom 'Owl Family' Dies. The greenery was cut from the NCC Custom 'Flourished Vine' Die and the little hearts were cut from ODBD Custom 'Umbrellas' Dies. The purple satin bow was tied using a Bow Easy.

Our Daily Bread designs October New Release Party!
Hi, everyone!! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs October New Release Party!!! Oh my, have you seen the entire new release?! If not, click here....wow!!!! If you hop along with me and my Sistah Sticks today, you could win stamps from ODBD......check out the details below:
Here are the new and previously released items featured in my two samples today:
My first sample features the new 'Flourished Alphabet' set, along with the ODBD 'Christmas Paper Collection 2015', the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders' Dies, the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies, and a scripture verse from 'Just a Note'. The Flourished Alphabet letters were heat embossed in gold onto the banners cut from the ODBD Custom 'Pennants' Dies; the scripture was also gold embossed. The designer paper and ivory panel were cut with the ODBD Custom 'Leafy Edged Borders' dies, then paper pierced (freehand on the curve but the straight lines were pierced with a template.)
My second sample also features the 'Flourished Alphabet' set, this time embossed in white onto ivory cardstock, sponged with cantaloupe ink, fussy cut, and popped up with foam tape. The background was white embossed using the wild rose image from the 'Fragrance' set, sponged with cantaloupe ink (this is the embossing resist technique....the ink does not stick to the heat embossing.) The ODBD Custom 'Hello' Die was cut from cantaloupe and ivory cardstock, then layered together and popped up with foam tape. The bottom border was cut out with the ODBD 'Beautiful Borders' Dies.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!!
