Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Melissa Stout aka mstout928....congrats, Melissa!!! I chose this beautiful card to recreate today. Since I do not have embossing paste, I decided to do the embossing resist technique instead, but keep the same card design. The inset panel was stamped in Versamark with the wild rose image from an upcoming set (July 1st) from Our Daily Bread designs, called 'Fragrance', heat embossed in white, then sponged with pink, peach, purple, and colored the leaves with an olive marker. A few hot pink pearls were added for a simple embellishment. The two white panels were popped up with foam tape for dimension.
Thanks for visiting!

Father's Day Deer
Hello! Yesterday, in the gallery for the Inspiration Challenge samples, I fell in love with this card by beesmom and knew that I wanted to borrow this design for two quick Father's Day cards for today. Due to a sore shoulder, I didn't feel like cranking out lots of die cuts, so I took the clean and simple approach. Two strips of scratch paper masking were adhered to the white panel; the strip was sponged with yellow, orange, and green; the masks were removed then the tree and deer from the North Coast Creations 'Deer Silhouette Greetings' were stamped in black, along with the sentiment from the Our Daily Bread designs set, 'Good Man'. Paper piercing and baker's twine were the only additions. Done and done!! Now I'm ready to make my Father's Day rounds and deliver the cards (and gift cards inside)!
Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there!!

Let Your Light Shine!
Happy Saturday, everyone!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose a design from the Miracle Suit site.....I loved this tropical pattern and used the yellow, aqua, and teal colors in my card. I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs in the making of this card: Hello Sunshine (scripture), Sunshine Blessings (smiley sun image), ODBD Custom Layered Lacey Square Dies, and ODBD Custom Clouds and Raindrops Dies. The sun was stamped on a white panel, sponged with yellow, aqua, and teal; the scripture was stamped in black, sponged with yellow, then cut into sections and popped up with foam tape around the image. I stamped an extra sun and popped it up with foam tape and added some clouds sponged with aqua. I really love this scripture and am happy with how this card turned out, so I might cut the card base in half and pin the top half onto my bulletin board at work as a reminder to be an example for others!!
Thanks for visiting!
Have a blessed weekend!!

Brilliant Blue Butterfly
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is one of my Sistah Sticks (Our Daily Bread designs designer sister), Paula Bigelow aka laughingstamper.....congrats, Paula girl!!!! I'm a sucker for any design in blue, so I chose this gorgeous card to recreate. Once I finished the top panel, I realized that I didn't have much room for the designer paper panel underneath, so I decided to go with just one panel. The 'Belles Vignes' image was white embossed on white, then sponged in blue. The scripture from 'God Verses' and butterfly from 'Butterfly and Bugs' were both stamped in blue. The butterfly was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies, sponged with blue ink, then dotted with a white paint pen.

Father's Day Tools
Happy Saturday!!! My fave challenge of the week at Splitcoast is the Saturday Inspiration Challenge.....Audrie chose The Shabby Creek Cottage for us this week....wow, what a find!! I will be subscribing since there are so many cool DIY projects there!! I was drooling over this awesome paint sprayer....have always wanted one but didn't think I would use it much....perhaps this will go onto my wish list!! I used the colors of the sprayer for this Father's Day card (I need to make two more like it before next weekend!) I used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: 'Father's Day Tools' (sentiment at the bottom), ODBD Custom 'Pegboard and Hooks' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Workshop Tools' Dies. The tools were cut out of gray and blue, then paper pieced together. I still have an entire roll of Brilliant Blue ribbon, so I used it to bring out more of the cobalt blue color.
Thanks for stopping by!

Vintage Deer
Hi, everyone!! It's tough finding time to stamp in the middle of the work week but I couldn't resist this week's ODBD Shining the Light Sketch Challenge! Though I didn't use Our Daily Bread designs stamps, I did use the new 'Deer Silhouette Greetings' from North Coast Creations, which is ODBD's sister company. Along with the awesome deer set, I used the ODBD 'Vintage Ephemera Paper Collection' and ODBD Custom 'Vintage Labels' Dies to create this monochromatic, masculine design. For the image panel, I used the same die for all three layers. Two were cut and embossed with white, one of which was hand-trimmed on the embossed line and used for the stamping and sponging. The brown mat was hand-trimmed after tracing the outside of the same die....since the curves of this die were not dramatic, it was fairly easy to cut by hand....even if I did have to stick out my tongue while doing it! :) I will also be submitting this to the Ways To Use It "Go West" challenge at Splitcoast....with the mercantile themed designer paper and brown tones, I think this will fit right in.
Speaking of ODBD, did you know that you can now purchase Our Daily Bread designs, North Coast Creations, and Artistic Outpost products all in one place? Woo hoo!! Get everything on your wish list and pay one shipping charge!! Just visit Our Daily Bread designs and check it out!!

Hope and a Future
Hi again!! My third post today! Some weeks I just don't seem to make it to my stamp room, so when I finally get there, I have catching up to do! I needed to make a graduation card, so I went back to Caryn's awesome gallery for inspiration and to help her celebrate her Featured Stamper week.....I chose this super cute card since I love banner designs and paper piercing! I chose this paper from my stash since it's the graduate's favorite colors. The scripture is from Our Daily Bread designs set 'Good Man'.....though this stamp set was designed with Father's Day in mind, like most of ODBD's stamps, they are extremely versatile! I meant to stick to Caryn's CAS style, but ended up adding green gems, ribbon, a bow tied with a Bow Easy, and a butterfly from 'Butterfly and Bugs', and cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies.

Go With All Your Heart
Hello, everyone! Better late than never, I made this birthday card using this past week's Sketch Challenge at Splitcoast. The image from the North Coast Creations' 'Sail Away' set was stamped, colored with masking and sponging (and some markers), then cut into four sections and adhered to a white mat. After the image panel was finished, I realized that it was a bit large and covered up the ODBD 'Fishing Net Background' too much, but it was too late at that point....not my best work, but oh well, can't win 'em all! :) Some natural ribbon was added, along with teal baker's twine to match the water.

Ray of Sunshine
Hi, everyone! This week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Caryn Davies aka Glitter Me Silly.....congrats, Caryn!! I chose this awesome sunburst card to case, using the new ODBD Custom Sunburst Background Die and a sentiment from the 'Hello Sunshine' set. The die was cut from light yellow cardstock, then stenciled with yellow and peach and popped up with foam tape so that the piercings from the die would be more visible. 'Irridescent Gold' Glimmer Mist was added to give a shimmery glow....of course, the camera doesn't pick it up very well. Yellow gems and linen thread were the only other additions.

Along with the new stamps and dies above, here are the other items featured in my post today:
My first project is a 12x12 scrapbook layout features the ODBD Custom Sunburst Background Die, sponged with yellow and layered with the sun image from 'Hello Sunshine' and clouds cut with the ODBD Custom 'Clouds and Raindrops' Dies. The quote from 'Sunshine Blessings' was stamped in brown, then cut apart, sponged with yellow, and popped up with foam tape. The little letters from 'Pennant Swag Alphabet' were stamped in brown, cut out, sponged in yellow, then layered onto the ODBD Custom 'Pennant Swag' Die at the top and adhered to the back of the photo at the bottom. The cloud background was sponged in blue over one of the cloud die cuts. The butterflies from 'Butterfly and Bugs' were stamped in brown, cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Butterfly and Bugs' Dies, then colored with yellow and orange. The edges of the main panel plus the photo panel were paper pierced to coordinate with the piercing from the Sunburst Background die. The photo shows my niece, Madilyn, leading her alpaca, Brody. Most of my nieces and nephews will be showing either alpacas or llamas for 4H this year.
Here is a close up of the awesome photo.....see all of the llamas and alpacas in the background?
My second project features the 'Father's Day Tools' single, ODBD Custom 'Workshop Tools' Dies, ODBD Custom 'Tool Time' Dies, and 'Wood Background' stamp. This card was super fun to make, although the fussy cutting the image (and applying foam tape) took four hours total, over the span of several days. The card itself was super easy....it began as an A2 card, then the corners were cut and an oval die was used for the cut out. The card base and front panel were stamped with the ODBD 'Wood Background' stamp, then the edges were sponged for a bit more dimension. The little screws are eyelets which I bought in my first couple months of stamping (15 years ago or so)....I didn't even know what eyelets were, but I loved that they were little screw heads, so I bought them!!! lol!!! The tools were cut from the ODBD Custom 'Workshop Tools' dies and the ODBD Custom 'Tool Time' Dies, then tucked into the pocket which was raised with foam tape.
