Hi there!! Today's Clean and Simple Challenge is to create a sunset on your CAS card. I chose to use the "Heaven's Masterpiece" set by North Coast Creations for this ten minute card. I cut an oval from scratch paper and used the opening as a mask to sponge the colors and stamp the image within.

Sunny Blessings
Hello!! I couldn't resist choosing another card from Featured Stamper Barb Mann's gallery......isn't this card the cutest?! I loved the curved design to the scene and the sun was just too cute!! I created a sun by die-cutting multiple triangles from the upcoming July dies from Our Daily Bread designs, called "ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set", then adhered them to a circle which was stamped with the ODBD "Gingham Background". The green layer was cut with a Memory Box die, then stamped with the "Gingham Background", and highlighted with markers. The banner was stamped with another July set, "Pennants Swag 1" and was cut out with the "ODBD Custom Pennants Swag Die". (The clouds are also Memory Box.)

Blushing Rose Banner
Hello!!! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! I've been busy playing with some new toys from Our Daily Bread designs, counting down for the July 1st release. You will flip out when you see the new stamps and custom dies this month!!!
Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Barb Mann.....what a wonderful gallery!!! I chose this gorgeous banner card to recreate using several die sets and "Blushing Rose Collection" designer paper from Our Daily Bread designs. The bows on the end of the swag are from the ODBD Custom Pennant Swag Die (available July 1st), the triangle pennants and center banner were cut from the ODBD Custom Pennants Die Set (also available July 1st), and the hearts you may have seen before, from the ODBD Custom Ornate Hearts Die Set. The sentiment from "Ornate Border Sentiments" was stamped in two parts (using masking and a Stampamajig Stamp Positioner) in order for it to be all on one line so that I could use the Word Window Punch as on Barb's card. After taking photos, I realized that I forgot to add part of a doily behind the pennants, but I'm not going to deconstruct it......I have ruined too many cards in the past while making corrections, so it will have to stand as it is! :)
Thanks again for visiting!!
God bless!!

Birthday Banner - ODBD Sneak Peek!
Hi, everyone!! It's Saturday morning.....my fave stampy time of the week!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose any photo from the TSB Men Fashion Blog.....I chose the first photo on this page for inspiration.....loved the two shades of blue paired with the green shoes. Definitely not my personal taste for clothes, but for stamping colors.....yes!! The card design comes from this beautiful card from ReginaBD's gallery...Regina was just dubbed Queen for the Day....congrats, Regina!!
Today begins Sneak Peeks for Our Daily Bread designs July release......I have used a new stamp set, "Pennant Swag 2" along with the "ODBD Custom Pennant Swag Die". I wanted to heat emboss the swags, but didn't have the right color of embossing powder, so I first inked the stamps with Versamark then inked with Brilliant Blue directly after, stamped, then covered in clear embossing powder and heated until set. The gift box and strips I cut with my paper cutter....the bow was cut from the Pennant Swag Die.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fabulous weekend!!

CAS Dragonfly Sympathy
Hi, everyone!! This week's CAS Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose at least three colors from the Color Crawl Palette at the left for your clean and simple card. I needed a quick sympathy card for a co-worker who lost his grandmother on Friday. The "Dragonfly" image from and sentiment from "Carried to Heaven" were stamped in Not Quite Navy, the dragonfly was colored with the moss green color plus two of the aqua colors. (Both stamps are from Our Daily Bread designs.)

For My Friend
Hello there!!! This week's Featured Stamper is Katlyn Traxler aka K.Joy....congrats, Katlyn!!! There were so many gorgeous cards to choose from and I finally settled on this beautiful card because of the layout, designer paper and kraft panel. I used ivory instead of white, used a strip of designer paper from the ODBD "Blooming Garden Collection" and instead of a heart, cut some flowers from the ODBD Custom Asters and Leaves Die Set. The sentiment is from an ODBD set, "My Friend". The kraft panel was paper pierced and then used a marker for "faux stitching".

ATC Inspiration x 2!
Hi, everyone!! Happy Saturday!! Saturday morning is my fave time to stamp and this week's Inspiration Challenge at Splitcoast was just what I needed to get my gears turning. There were so many interesting ATC's to choose from the gallery at the ATC's For All site, so I made two cards with two totally different styles. First, I chose this beautiful vintage Iris ATC (Artist Trading Card) and re-created an ATC sized panel as close to the original as I could....I was lucky enough to have the same woven trim in my stash....yay!! I didn't have a script-type background stamp so I used a partial piece of a pattern from the "Blushing Rose Designer Paper Collection" by Our Daily Bread designs, along with the sentiment and image from the "Iris" set. The iris was stamped, colored with markers, then fussy cut and adhered to the script background.
My second card was inspired by this rainbow colored ATC. The sentiment panel was cut to ATC size (2-1/2 x 3-1/2) then was colored with sponge daubers and ink pads, stamped with the sentiment from the ODBD "Sentiments Collection 2" set, matted, paper pierced, then I sprayed Pearl Glimmer Mist point blank in order to create a splotchy, mottled look.....hard to see in the photo. It was then popped up with foam tape and some "Rain Dots" were added on the corners. (The Rain Dots have been in my stash for about five years....bought them in Pigeon Forge at the Scrapbook Superstore when I was on vacation.)
Thanks for visiting with me today!

Cherry Blossom Clouds
Happy Friday, everyone! This week's Friday Free4All Challenge at Splitcoast is to use clouds on your project....no problem!!! Also, this week's Queen for the Day is Meisu4.....congrats!!! I chose this beautiful card to case. Also this week is the Our Daily Bread designs "Shining the Light" one layer challenge....create a one layer card or card base plus one layer....I chose the latter. The image and scripture are from "Cherry Blossom", new this month from Our Daily Bread designs. The image was stamped several times, colored with sponges and markers, the clouds were sponged in aqua over a scalloped circle. Instead of my usual paper piercing, I sponged the edges and added three little pearls in the corner.
Oh, a here is a quick reminder: today is the last day for free shipping over at Our Daily Bread designs.....please visit the ODBD Store for details.

Blessings Come Down
Hello!!! I'm back again.....this time with a super quick birthday card which took about ten minutes.....yay!!!! I went to take another look at Maura's gallery (today's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast) and found this CAS card. I used a chevron border punch instead of a die cut and left off the butterfly since it's a masculine card, but kept the basic design the same. The designer paper is from the "Christian Faith Collection" and the stamp is from the "Blessings" set, both from Our Daily Bread designs.
Have a fabulous, blessed Sunday!!! Happy Father's Day to all of you dads out there!!

Queen for the Day x 2!
Hello again! This week's Queen for the Day is Barbara Joyce aka bejoyce....congrats, Barbara!!! I chose this gorgeous card to recreate from Barb's wonderful gallery. The image and sentiment are from a new set from Our Daily Bread designs, called "Rose Bouquet" and the ODBD Custom Decorative Vase Die is also new this month. The roses were stamped on ivory, fussy cut, then popped up under the vase which was cut from ivory and stenciled with pink. The border was punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
I'm a bit late, but wanted to celebrate last week's Queen for the Day as well......congrats to Nancy aka stiz2003!!! I chose this beautiful card for inspiration in making three Father's Day cards for tomorrow. I loved the cool artsy effect of the background and CAS design since I have to make three cards. The image and scripture verse from "Keep Climbing" by Our Daily Bread designs were stamped in Stazon Jet Black, sponged with mustard ink, then "sprinkled" with water droplets from a paintbrush.
Thanks again for visiting with me!!

Art Journal Inspired / Roses for Mom
Happy Saturday, everyone!! It's going to be a beautiful, cool day here in Indiana, so I'm stamping early so that I can spend some time outside later! This week's Inspiration Challenge is to find inspiration from Audrie's Art of Journaling Pinterest Board.......I loved the elegance and lacy look of this journal, so I tried to re-create the same look with my card, using the "Smell the Roses" set by Our Daily Bread designs, a doily die cut, plus a book plate and some mulberry paper (both of which haven't seen the light of day for a long time!)
Thanks for stopping by!

Iris Ribbon Embroidery
Happy Friday, everyone!! Today's Friday Free4All Challenge over at Splitcoast is based on your other talents other than paper crafting. Before I found stamping, I used to cross-stitch all the time. I still have many unfinished pieces.....I'll get back to them one of these days! :)
This decorated box is from a 'Ribbon Embroidery' kit I bought at JoAnn's many years ago on clearance....I now wish I would have bought several, but I was a bit intimidated at the time since I had never done this before. To me, this was very similar to cross stitch, but using satin ribbon instead of thread. The kit came with the round plastic gift box on which the embroidered fabric was adhered with a glue gun, plus a strip of lace to pretty up the border. Now I have to figure out if I will keep this for myself or give it as a gift!!

I chose this beautiful card to re-create using the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: ODBD Custom Decorative Vase Die, ODBD Custom Beautiful Borders Die Set, the Rose Bouquet set, and the ODBD Blushing Rose Designer Paper Collection. Framed Cherry Blossoms
Hi, everyone!! Today's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose any item from Bassett Furniture for inspiration. I fell in love with this framed art and tried to recreate it using the Wood Background and Cherry Blossom set, both from Our Daily Bread designs. For the frame, I cut four strips of ivory cardstock, mitered the corners, stamped them with the Wood Background, sponged the edges, then adhered them to the card base. The Cherry Blossom image was stamped several times onto a square piece of white cardstock. Using masking, the aqua color was sponged around the blossoms, then the blossoms were watercolored with peach and yellow, in no certain pattern. An aqua bow (tied with a Bow Easy) and pearls were added as the only embellishments.
Have a fabulous weekend!!

Thoughts of You
Hi, everyone! Today's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast is a CAS sketch....woo hoo! I had time to whip something up before work this morning!! The scrap piece of ODBD "Blushing Rose Collection" designer paper which I used a couple of days ago worked perfectly for this...I love when that happens!! The "Rose Bouquet", also from Our Daily Bread designs, was stamped in Stazon Timber Brown, then colored with markers and fussy cut with scissors and a craft knife, then adhered over the designer paper panel. I would have popped the image up with foam tape, but loved the idea that I could mail this one without extra postage...yay!! :)
