Hi, everyone! Here is a sneak peek of the new "Hyacinth" set by Our Daily Bread designs, which will be included in the April New Releases. Don't forget.....the ODBD April New Release Blog Hop will start at 8 am EST tomorrow....and that's no April Fool's joke!! :)
The newly crowned Queen For The Day over at Splitcoast is Sharon aka smadson....congrats, Sharon!!!! I fell in love with the design of this gorgeous card and just had to case it (copy and share everything) in order to create a sympathy card for a friend.
The frame/image stamp from the "Hyacinth" set was stamped twice; one was cut out with the Spellbinders Labels 26 die set and the second I cut out the inside frame to pop up with foam tape. The designer paper is SEI from my scrap bin....I was too lazy to look up the name!
Thanks for visiting !!

Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Hi, everyone! I recently made my famous (buttery) Pineapple Upside Down Cake and just had to make a tag and recipe card to go with it with the new baking sets from Our Daily Bread designs! I chose coordinating colors so that the tag and recipe card would mimic the cake.
The tag was made with the "Baking Gift Tags Set", cut out with the "Recipe Card and Tags" Die set, then adhered to a wooden skewer which I cut in half with my wire cutters.
It is so easy and fun to create your own recipe cards with the baking sets from ODBD! I stamped the "Gingham Background" stamp with saffron ink onto cream cardstock first, then cut out the recipe card using the ODBD Exclusive Spellbinders "Recipe Card and Tags" die set. Using a Stamp-a-ma-jig stamp positioner, the "Recipe Card Lines", "Recipe Card Icons", and "Recipe Card Categories" were all stamped onto the card. The hard part was hand-writing the recipe! :)
Here is the front of the recipe card.....the entire recipe I will list below.....so easy and soooo good!!
***************************************************************************
Pineapple Upside Down Cake by Angella Crockett:
Ingredients:
1 "Butter Recipe" Yellow Cake Mix (Plus eggs required for cake mix.)
3 Sticks of Real Butter - 1 for cake mix, 2 for topping (I prefer salted butter.)
2 Lg Cans of Pineapple Slices (or one large and one small can.....if you want extra pineapple to eat while you are baking, use two large cans!)
Maraschino Cherries are optional.
Directions:
Mix 2 sticks melted butter with 1 cup brown sugar (or more) in a 9x13 baking dish. Drain juice from pineapple, but do not discard. Place pineapple rings in brown sugar/butter mixture; add cherries to center of pineapples. Place baking dish in the freezer. Prepare cake mix, using pineapple juice instead of water. Remove baking dish from freezer. (By freezing the butter/sugar mixture for a few minutes, it makes spreading the cake batter much easier.) Spread the batter evenly into the baking dish. Bake at 15 degrees less than the cake instructions suggest. Baking the cake will take longer than normal since it is much thicker. Use toothpick or cake tester to ensure that the cake is done in the middle. Note: the top of the cake will be brown by the time it is fully baked. After cooling for ten minutes, place cookie sheet over the dish and turn the cake upside down to reveal the pineapple goodness!! Allow to cool at least 30 minutes. Enjoy!!
***************************************************************************
I hope you try this recipe.....but let me warn you.....once your family tries this, they will require it often!!! :)
Thanks for stopping by today!

Season of Singing! (ODBD Sneak Peek!)
Hi, everyone! I'm so excited to share a sneak peek with you of the upcoming April stamps by Our Daily Bread designs, which will be released on April 1st.
Three of the new sets this month were designed to fit the Spellbinders Labels 26 die set. I used Labels 26 to cut this shaped card, plus cut the two panels which were stamped with "Romantic Floral Designs". The sentiment is from the new "Morning Glory" set. The frames were stamped in navy blue and colored with pink....one of my fave color combos!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Stay tuned for more sneak peeks this week!!

Happy Day Lilac!
Hi, everyone! Today I am enjoying a much needed "snow-day".....yes, a snow day....in the last week of March! I am a big chicken when it comes to driving to work in bad weather....I'm blessed to have a boss who understands! So.....since I'm not at work, I plan to stamp, stamp, stamp!!!
I used three challenges in the making of this card today. The Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is the wonderfully talented Jennifer Timko aka jentimko. I chose this beatufiul CAS card to re-create. The Clean and Simple Challenge today is to use a lined stamp only....no solid stamps, so I chose the Lilac stamp along with a sentiment from Be Joyful, both from Our Daily Bread designs. The Technique Lover's Challenge is to create a monochromatic project.
***Please note: before you look at the card and say, "Ewww....it doesn't match!", let me tell you that purple tones do not photograph well........in real life, the ribbon does match the rest of the card!! :)
Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned for some sneak peeks of the upcoming April sets by Our Daily Bread designs!!!

Yummy Birthday Cupcake!
Hi, everyone! My great-niece turns two today....this is her birthday card. I don't have many cutesie stamps for toddlers, so I opted for the Cupcake Plate, Gingham Background, and Baking Tag Sentiments from Our Daily Bread designs. I used the Inspiration Challenge for the colors and the Queen For The Day Challenge for the layout of the card. The IC is to choose an item from Madewell....I chose this beautiful purple dress with yellow and coral flowers. Val aka Greywolf is this week's Queen for the Day.....congrats, Val!!! I chose this beautiful card, though once I finished I realized that I should have had a rectangle behind my image....oops!

PussyWillows for Mom!
Hi, everyone! This is a birthday card I made for my Mom using the PussyWillow image from the new Happy Spring set and one of the verses from Bookmark Scriptures, both sets by Our Daily Bread designs. The vase was created by cutting out one of the 2010 Heirloom Spellbinder Ornament Dies from designer paper, then the top and bottom of the ornament were trimmed off. I saw this idea on Splitcoast Stampers quite a few times.....I don't know the stampers' names, but I thank them for such a clever idea!!
I will be submitting this card for the Our Daily Bread designs "Shining The Light 'Spring Has Sprung' Challenge".
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Happy Spring' and 'Bookmarks - Scripture';
Cardstock: Dark Purple and white;
Designer Paper: Memory Box 'Violet';
Accessories: Spellbinders 2010 Heirloom Ornament, Exacto Knife, paper piercer and template, Zva Creative Pearls, Organza Ribbon, Bow Easy;
Size: A2.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a fabulous weekend!

Hello, My Friend!
Hi, everyone! This was one of the quickest cards I've made in a while.....yay!!! I opened my drawer of trial and error scraps and die cuts, happened to see the Brocade piece and SB Floral Oval die cut next to each other, and I saw the CAS design in my head instantly! All I had to do was sponge the center, stamp the sentiment from the new "Sentiments Collection 2", add a few pink pearls at the top, a couple of sprays of Glimmer Mist and I was done!!
Card 'Ingredients':
Stamps: Our Daily Bread designs 'Sentiments Collection 2' and 'Brocade Backgrounds';
Ink: Stazon Fuschia and Jet Black, SU Pink Pirouette;
Accessories: Spellbinders 'Floral Ovals", Zva Creative Pearls, 'Pearl' Glimmer Mist;
Size: A2.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a very blessed week!!

Beautiful Wishes!
Hello there! A few days ago, this week's Queen for the Day was crowned at Splitcoast....congrats to Rita Janz aka scootsv!!!! Wow, what a vast gallery!! There were so many beautiful cards to choose from (nearly 2000 cards!), but I decided to re-create this gorgeous card and I made two birthday cards which need to go in the mail today. I love how the designer paper did most of the work, with plenty of room for the sentiment in the corner, although I used the opposite corner since most of my designer paper wouldn't work in the same corner as Rita's.
I have used the new "Sentiments Collection 2" set from Our Daily Bread designs, which was just released on Saturday. I can't wait to get my hands on the new Quote Collection and Scripture Collections which were also released.....see all of the 5th Anniversary sets HERE.
Thanks so much for visiting!

I Am Here For You Always!
Hi, everyone! Today's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast is Nancy Littrell....congrats, Nancy! I chose this beautiful CAS card to recreate in order to make a sympathy card before I left for church this morning.
The sentiment is from "Sentiments Collection 2", one of the 5th Anniversary sets which were revealed yesterday....check out all of the new sets HERE. The shaped panels were cut out with the ODBD Exclusive Spellbinders "Antique Labels and Border Die" Set and the designer paper is from Prima.

ODBD 5th Anniversary Release Blog Hop!
If you have hopped here from the ODBD Blog, you are in the right place. If not, please head to the ODBD Blog and check out all of the details of the hop in case I miss any important tidbits! Plus, there is an entire link list there for you in case there are any broken links along the way. Hop from blog to blog, check out the beautiful creations which feature the new sets, then return to the ODBD Blog and let us know that you have finished. You have until Sunday, March 17th at 8pm EDT to complete the hop. There will be three blessed hoppers chosen to win a $25 Gift Certificate for stamps at the ODBD Store.....winners will be announced on Monday, March 18th on the ODBD Blog and will have 2 weeks to claim their prize.
For each year's anniversary, the ODBD designers are allowed to choose a scripture verse, quote, or sentiment to be made into a stamp.....this year I chose the sentiment "Beautiful Wishes for a Beautiful Day" to be included on "Sentiments Collection 2".
I kept my card fairly simple so that the sentiment would be the focal. The beautiful SEI "Diana" designer paper, Cheery Lynn Designs Fanciful Flourish, Spellbinders Floral Ovals, Prima flower, crocheted lace, twill ribbon, and Zva Creative pearls were just enough to give it a bit of flair, but did not over do it.
Your next stop will be with the fabulously sweet and talented, Grace Nywening!!! I guarantee that she will knock your socks off with her creation, so get ready!!!!!
Enjoy the hop and thanks again for helping us to celebrate our 5th Anniversary! You are a blessing!!!

For my card sample today, I have used the mountain image from the "Keep Climbing" set, along with a quote from the "Quote Collection 2" set to create a masculine birthday card. The inspiration for my design comes from this beautiful card on SCS. The Spellbinders "Nested Maple Leaves" largest die was cut and embossed twice on white cardstock. One of the two die cuts was trimmed by hand along the embossed line....the mountain image was stamped on this. I tried stamping the image with the paper still inside the die, but the stamp would not imprint clean enough next to the edge of the die. I could have used a lot of extra sponging to hide this fact, but I decided to do it the hard way to get the look I was after. Once it was colored and sponged, it was adhered to the white mat and popped up onto the card with foam tape.
Thanks so much for joining us today! Enjoy the rest of the party!

Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs March New Release Blog Hop!!! As usual, we are super excited to share a brand new group of stamps and two new cutting die sets too....Woo Hoo!!! Check out all of the New Releases HERE!
If you have hopped here from Sabrina's fabulous blog, then you are in the right place. If not, please head over to the ODBD Blog and start from the beginning.....you don't want to miss a thing!! There is a full link list there in case there are any broken links along the way. The hop will run until Saturday, March 2nd at 8pm EST and the winners will be announced on March 3rd. This time around there will be five blessed hoppers who will receive a $20.00 toward stamps at Our Daily Bread designs!! Thanks, Kelley!!!
My first sample today features the new "Pussy Willow Background" stamp and the egg image from the "Pussy Willow and Egg" set.
I stamped the background on white, "fussy-cut" the entire image, colored it with markers, then popped it up with foam tape over a sponged sky background. The bird-nest was made by cutting tiny strips of Kraft cardstock and rolling it and crumpling it around and gluing the pieces a few at a time. For the final touch, white Flower Soft was added to create a bit of reality.
My second sample, an 8-1/2 x 8-1/2 scrapbook layout of me and hubby on our 20th anniversary cruise last year, features the "Happy Marriage Recipe" single, the ODBD Exclusive "Recipe Card and Tags" die set, "Baking Gift Tags", and "Baking Tag Sentiments":
Earlier this week, I shared a couple of sneak peeks of the March New Releases:
Thanks for sticking with me through this lengthy post! Hope you are enjoying all of the samples today!
Your next stop will be with the ultra-talented Dawn Lusk.......I know that she has baked up something sweet for you!!
Happy Hopping and God bless!!
