Time To Celebrate!
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to choose your inspiration from the Abstract Art Pinterest Board.....I chose this stunning piece because I loved the colors and clock theme. This card is for my brother who just graduated from college....congrats, Sean!!! I knew I wanted to make a partial clock face with the ODBD Custom Numbers Dies, but I didn't have a circle die large enough, so I traced a roll of tape and cut a partial circle to sponge the black outline onto the card base which was cut with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. The panel was then smooshed into a mixture of teal, brown, and rust inks plus Gold Glimmer Mist instead of water. Once it was dry, some sponging was added and the clock face image from 'God's Timing' was stamped multiple times. A portion of a sentiment from 'Time' was stamped to coordinate with the 'Celebrate' from the ODBD Custom Celebrate and Wish Dies set. The clock hands were cut from the ODBD Custom Matting Circles Dies set and trimmed evenly with the mat's edge. After adding three black brads to the corner, the matted panel was adhered to a black card base. Woo hoo, another flat card to mail with only one stamp!! :)

The Righteous Man
Hi, everyone! This week's Friday Free 4 All Challenge over at Splitcoast is "Weather or Not"....my card features sunshine. This is a birthday card for my brother-in-law. I have used the following items from Our Daily Bread designs: 'Howdy' (scripture), 'Ride 'Em Cowboy' (cactus silhouette), the ODBD Custom Circles Dies (mask for sun), and the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies for both cutting out the image panel and for embossing the frame onto the kraft card base. Half of the cowboy image from 'Ride 'Em Cowboy' was stamped in black, then black ink was used over a scratch paper mask to complete the hillside. The sun and sky were sponged using mustard and ruby red ink. I wanted this card to be flat for mailing, so instead of adding brads or ribbon, I chose to add linen thread and a a bit of doodling around the edge.
Thanks for visiting!
Have a blessed weekend!!

Dear Friend
Hi, everyone! This week's Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast was super fun! I also combined this week's Color Challenge: Pool Party, Marina Mist, and Garden Green. For my card, the 'Belles Vignes' flourish vine image was white embossed onto white cardstock, then the three colors were sponged. The window was cut out with the ODBD Custom Double Stitched Squares Dies, then the panel was popped up with foam tape over the embossing resist sponged panel. The ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies were cut out of white cardstock, then sponged with the three colors; clear gems were added to give them a little "oompf" since the colors were light. The sentiment from 'Medallion Sentiments' was white embossed onto the aqua panel.

Sending Prayers Your Way
Happy Saturday, everyone! This week's Inspiration Challenge over at Splitcoast is to find inspiration from a Pinterest board filled with wedding shoes of all sorts. I chose this gorgeous photo because of the yummy colors in the bouquet. To match the colors, I cut out the background panel from a pattern from the ODBD Rustic Beauty Paper Collection with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies, cut out the three butterflies with the ODBD Custom Bitty Butterflies Dies, and cut out the scalloped border from the ODBD Custom Bitty Borders Dies. The 'Sending' die cut and the sentiment are both from the 'Sending My Love' Stamp/Dio Duos set. To keep the card mostly flat for mailing, I did not pop up any layers but did add a few pearls.

Our Daily Bread designs June New Releases!
Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Our Daily Bread designs June New Release party!!! Wow, what an amazing line up for June......see all of the new stamps, dies, and papers HERE! If you'd like a chance to win a gift certificate to shop at Our Daily Bread designs, follow the instructions below:
* Sandy * Cathy * Dawn * Lori * Robin * Melissa * Julie * Sabrina * * Diana * Angie...that's me! * Chris * Grace * Lisa * Jan *
Here are the new and previously released items from Our Daily Bread designs which are featured in my two projects today:
My first project is an 8 x 8 scripture journal scrapbook page.....this is the 2nd page I've created for my scripture scrapbook.....see my first page HERE. For this page, I started by printing out the entire 6th chapter of Ephesians plus 2 other verses onto a piece of cardstock in my stash which resembled parchment. One it was trimmed to 8x8, the edges were torn and inked heavily with gray ink. The letters from the ODBD Custom Alphabet Dies set were cut and adhered at the top; the scripture from 'Full Armor' was stamped directly onto the page; the knight from 'Armor of God' was stamped on white cardstock, water-colored, fussy cut, then adhered onto the page which was matted with gray cardstock.
My second project is an A2 card which also features the 'Armor of God' and 'Full Armor' sets. The knight from 'Armor of God' was stamped three times on white cardstock so that different sections could be popped up for dimension. The scripture from 'Full Armor' was stamped on white, then each line was fussy cut, sponged with gray, then popped up with foam tape. The blue framing was cut out with the ODBD Custom 'Lavish Layers' Dies; the designer paper from the ODBD Americana Quilt Collection was cut out with the ODBD Custom Pierced Rectangles Dies. Silver brads were added to two corners.
Thanks for hanging out with us today!
God bless!
